Nice Video , Adding some comment (with my 25000 km experience with Sonet IMT) Heating Issue in Traffic ? - IMT has crawling feature in both 1st and 2nd Gear and the car can crawl from stand still in 2nd gear also. If you are lazy like me you will be tempted to keep the car in 2nd gear even in bumper to bumper to traffic. This will definitely result in heating issue and can damage your gear box. Otherwise the IMT is just like any other gear box Hill Hold Assist ? - all IMT transmission now has hill hold assist. It is a life saver in places like Bangalore where you stuck in inclined fly overs for hours in bumper to bumper traffic. Also in basement parking of crowded malls. Lag --- Lag in power delivery is not due to IMT . It is character of typical turbo engines. But the power delivery of 1.0 lts tgdi engine is much better than other turbo petrol (nexon, xuv300 petrol,kiger/magnite) and the turbo lag is well contained. And again when you start your veichel 1st time in the morning keep the engine running for at least a minute, it helps the turbo to work efficiently. Milage -- 9 to 12 kmpl (Bangalore with ac on) -- 16 to 18 kmpl (Highway with ac on driven < 100 km/hr) -- 13 to 16 kmpl (Highway with ac on driven 120 km/hr)
IMT is better than Manual ? -- 100 % yes, it is the same gear box as manual with very simple hardware as add on . So easy to drive and easy on the pocket. Just like manual gear box you will feel complete control while over taking or driving in hilly area. No headache of clutch and neither boring like full automatic. So best of both world. IMT is better than DCT? -- I would say DCT is better and more relaxing to drive.. But it will be expensive to buy and has high maintenance cost compared to imt. imt has the same maintenance cost as manual , there will be only transmission fluid check and topup happens at each 20k service. So instead of going for HTX DCT I went for HTX+ imt with almost the same price

Thank you Sir Glad you liked it. Sir if running is 100 km per day, then I would suggest go for Grand Vitara Semi or Full Hybrid model. Mileage would be around 17-22 kmpl. Sonet gives 17-18 kmpl on highway.
It will not that much easy Sir. While you are driving on a constant speed, gear will not switch smoothly. It will be only possible if you will not be accelerating.
Hi brother, I have filtered down to Tata Nexon Pure S and Kia Sonet HTk Plus iMT. Both these cars are around 12L on road so I thought it would be an almost fair comparison. Although I am very indifferent when it comes to using clutch while driving (which is not there in sonet) but which one would you suggest me to go with considering the Engine and features that the cars offer? And is there any other car that I should look out for in this budget? Thanks!
Hello Sir Thanks for watching my video. As you mentioned that you are looking option among Nexon and Sonet. In terms of safety no doubt Tata is by far the best product in the market. But in terms of features, Sonet has alway win this competition. I do know that new Nexon looks and feels are premium but they are still lacking behind in terms of finishing of their interiors. The one and only drawback of Sonet is it's back seat, it is congested as compared to Nexon or Brezza. The only option other than these 2 is Venue which also gives a lot of features and looks are really good. Would never recommend Breeze as I am not at all fan of Maruti. However, if your concern is mileage then only go for it. Last Statement: I would recommend Sonet as the best option in terms of features, mileage, service and usage as Tata is yet to improve in terms of after sales service.

Hello Sir I feel this variant is very reliable. My car is almost going to complete 40,000 KMs and have not faced any issue related to gear box. Maintenance cost is normal and is not that high. I have paid 21000 for last 3 services which are inclusive of labor cost.

Overall comfort is really good brother, but I am not that much happy with the suspension. Speed Brakers and small potholes needs to be taken care off or else the sound is pretty loud in cabin. Does not feel lie body roll, feels solid even if you are driving at 130-140 kmph, but yes you need smooth roads for this car.

Difference tab jyada aaega Sir jab aapki runni sirf city me hai. Suppose agar MID 650 kms bol raha hai to it will be somewhere around 550. But agar hughway hai and long route pe hai to badh bhi jaati hai. Me recently Ayodhya gaya tha, full tank me 700 km chal gayi thi and MID pe 97 km abhi bhi bache the.

My sonet imt is just 600km driven. Recently when I was on traffic I applied brake and car was in 1st gear, but when I kept the leg on brake, i felt the brake was tight and the vehicle was trying to move forward with jerks. Any idea why is this
Hello Sir Sorry for responding late to your comment. I have not felt any issue as of now. There is a weird sound sometimes whenever I apply brakes, but that is very rare and no problem related to jerks.
Yes the same issue happened with me also sc guys don't know the cause. Just off the vehicle and start after 15 seconds you will not face after. This is due to cold weather.
Running jyada hai to bhai Manual hi lo… kyuki isme kam se kam 3-4 kmpl ka fark padega. Bas traffic me kaafi sahi lagta hai imt. Mileage dekh rahe ho to bhai ek baar Brezza ya Toyota Urban Cruizer bhi dekh sakte ho. City me 14-15 de deti hai.
It's all depends upon how you drive Sir. Handling and maintaining your car will never give you any problems. On time check and oiling is must recommended.

how will be the reliability of this "turbo" engine ?
Reliability of this engine is good as of now. A but of lag can be felt sometime, but that doesn’t impact it’s power.

My sonet imt is just 600km driven. Recently when I was on traffic I applied brake and car was in 1st gear, but when I kept the leg on brake, i felt the brake was tight and the vehicle was trying to move forward with jerks. Any idea why is this

Sorry for responding late to your comment. I have not felt any issue as of now.
There is a weird sound sometimes whenever I apply brakes, but that is very rare and no problem related to jerks.
Im facing the same issue, you got any solutions, did you go to sc? did they resolve it?
Yes the same issue happened with me also sc guys don't know the cause. Just off the vehicle and start after 15 seconds you will not face after. This is due to cold weather.
