In early 1980 I had the privilege to fly a 1946 415-C rudderless Ercoupe (N87420) out of Detroit City Airport (DET). It was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. I would love to own one someday, just for the fun of flying it.
The trailing articulating main gear is a little daunting at first, but after you make that first crosswind landing, it becomes instantly second nature.
Such a fun video Matt :) loved the establishing drone shot you got at the start too, surprised your drone allowed you to take off at an airfield! I saw a comment you left on one of Chris Hau's videos so thought I'd come check out your channel. Keep up the good work
The ERCOUPE is a great little aircraft , no rudder pedals ? not so much . They ( and most people flying them ) figured out that a long time ago. Most have fixed that problem .
@@jamesjanssen2378 I know this is a very old post but, I had to comment. The majority of Ercoupes still have no rudder pedals just as God and Fred Weick intended. There’s no need for pedals. I can easily land in crosswinds that will keep your plane cowering in the hangar. :-). Give one a try sometime, then decide. Cheers!
I have seen this more than twice now. I haven't kept track TBO. Wish I could upvote it more times.

Awesome, beautiful, fun airplane. Thanks for posting!

Great Video Matt. I couldn't figure out why your were turning the yoke while taxing to the ramp...DUHHHHH No rudder pedals. Thats is wicked.

Josh Edwards thanks!!! I'm slowly getting better, just need to get more content out!
Love your coupe. My coupe has rudder pedals, all else the same.
Lois Murray thanks! Although it's not mine, I just got to fly it for a bit

@@jamesjanssen2378 What problem?
When planes were first invented they never had routers they had a steering wheel that makes a Metal object turn left and right
Please do a video of the sliding doors/windows
