Great video! And I was really captured by your book. Your content has been helping me become aware of new perspectives and hopefully of my own path.

Thank you so much, it is so refreshing to listen to you not speaking in the now prominent Infantilizing lingo of psychotherapy. Beautiful, clear, integrated, and by non causal relationship (at least not obvious one) I subscribed to r/Jung about two weeks ago, read half of your book, and now searching for pure aeternus found your video and linked a face to the author of the book. Thank you! Continuing to read!

Today i discovered Marie Louise von Franz, talking abaout the Man-Child and through that talk your channel. Since last year a bunch of memories from my childhood through all my life came back and i am working through these 12 month now. This topic explains a lot of things i wasnt able to classify! Its such a relief i cant describe it, this puches me so much i feel like the hole time i searched for this. Thank you for your work. Subscription earned👍

That's how I felt when I first read her book, it's so crazy. Stay tuned, I have a series on the Puer Aeternus planned for next year.

Brilliant analyisi! So many questions about my situation come to mind. A child's world is dominated by their parents' world. It is a parent's job to teach a child to be independent and separate from them. If they fail, the job remains.

Thanks! ... The task of becoming an adult is always individual. Of course, it's great when parents are helpful, but still, each person is responsible for their own path.

You bring out these concepts in an easy to understand way, thank you.
I have a request: Can you provide a link to this video without the background music?
I'm neurodivergent and I find the background music very distracting making your talk difficult to follow, eventually I just turn it off. If I have time I do later come back and just read the transcript but... it would be nice to listen to it too 😊.

How do you negotiate the process of individuation as a neurodiverse person, who may need extra support for an extended period, but with asymmetric development - so like, in some ways mature enough to be making adult decisions but really needing help around organising and negotiating the world. I'm thinking back to my own youth, but also how to encourage individuation and independence in my own neurodiverse kids. I find that balance really tricky to negotiate as a parent. I wonder if I would have been able to take in this info at that age, or if it would have gone over my head.

That "individual " needs help from time to time, maybe even a long time - that fact does not/ should not negate their "individual-ness"
Too much emphasis is being placed on "diverse" in my humble opinion

Encouraging individuation isn’t about the financial aspect and becoming 100% self-sufficient. It’s about encouraging them to make their own decisions, allowing them to make their own mistakes, not placing your own desires and expectations over them, and letting them explore their own interests. Teach them good values and the importance of taking responsibility and you’ll watch them mature and become their own person.

In my exp if money equals love (and control) in your childhood home, receiving money as an adult can be toxic.

    Brasileiro?

No music is better 🙂. Then the talk is easier to follow,
especially for those of us with faulty filters - all sounds and other stimulus are processed with the same priority. The result is a barrier of too much distraction preventing the necessary focus to listen to your interesting talk.
