Funny thing is, the performer at the rear is probably the stronger one. In real lion dancing it takes so much skill to match the movements of the front performer.

Ngl this boss was one of those Elden Ring bosses that genuinely freaked me out, mainly because when i was a kid i was always scares of those chinese dancing lions.
It's kinda funny that Miquella chose to revive Radahn in the body of mohg if you think about it. Mohg has the body of an omen, which is due to aspects of the crucible he is basically what the people in the land of shadow would consider to be hornsent. And Radahn is the young lion. Therefore putting radahn into the body of mogh would create the holy beast that the hornsent worship. A horned lion beast delivered from higher spheres (Edit: Called Mohg Mogh)
I wish the final fight has more Miquella in it, instead of just visual seizure spam. The lion, though is actually 2 guys, is authentically a lion. Final fight though, Miquella feels more like an attachment rather than the real god like the lion is.
Miquella is a god of kindness, he can’t physically attack anyone himself. That’s why he needs Radahn to do his dirty work for him and why his only “attack” is the hug which charms you but does 0 damage
Ah, a bodyless beast that posses two separate hosts in order to live as a singular entity, fascinating. Though perhaps its head is real, but needs its hosts’ limbs to move its jaw and act as a neck for which to turn its head.
I also interpret that the beast was real and its head was made into that puppet. But it came from space. They pray for it to return and as the crone says, sometimes its spirit possessess the dancers for real.

Can't remember which one it was one pointed out that the Great Cats you see in the basegame have Omen horns that have been cut off. So it might be that the Lion Dancers are based on the original, much larger, versions of those and Marika took their 'divine beasts', cut off their horns and forced them into service with crude armor and arm blades put on them as a means to deemen the Hornsent even further by reducing objects of worship to basic beasts of war.
I love that they went the extra mile to actually animate this so nicely. This boss could have easily been just a mass of cloth with hands and feet sticking out for the sake of just doing what is needed to sell the cutscene but no. No limbs elongating to fit what they wanted to show, no disembodied hand sticking out somewhere for the sake of the cutscene.
I know this is irrelevant but rewatching this cutscene its only just occurred to me that the person speaking is the old hornsent lady inside of that storage warehouse ( i forgot her name)
The pool of Blood they're standing on is interesting. It seems someone has already slain them before we got here, and the hornsent grandma revived them once more.
Honestly looks even scarier without the capes but it really looks like a Sekiro boss to me. Also I was pissed when I found out there was a second one of these beasts lol.

I think the visuals, sounds, and the voice calling them “sculpted keepers” all greatly imply that these dudes are living statues or golems. When his fingers first move, dust falls and it makes a stone grinding noise. And then when he slaps his hand and then later his foot on the ground, it sounds like a boulder falling. Two dudes in a lion costume is kinda numerous. 2 stone statues with the fluidity of trained acrobats is terrifying!
Designs like this show why Fromsoft's artists and animators are unrivaled. World building while being unique yet thematically fitting. Fromsoft always brings their A-game. Props to whoever came up with this and all the animators who brought it to life
