Hi Charlotte, I stopped watching for a bit just to say...your the best..I don't really fancy granny squares but after seeing how yours don't have those gaping holes which I don't like...so I'm going to make a blanket using this method that you use ..it's gorgeously beautiful indeed Please keep up the good work because I have been searching for months on end, but o no avail...but now I met you making this beautiful granny square ...Thank You so much❤ May your creativity and your hands stay blessed forevermore ❤❤🙏
I love knots, if it means way fewer tails to weave in! I’m all about the knots!! Yahoo. Made my first granny square with this technique and it came out great. Now only about a million more to make for my project. 😂 Thank you for this!
I'm ecstatic to have found your video!! I've struggled with making a granny square and this technique actually makes sense to me!! It's gorgeous and you are a gorgeous and gracious teacher, Thank you for your time and effort with this video.
Wow! Been crocheting for 50 years and you young lady just opened up a new world for me. 😊This is the first of your videos Ive watched, excited to see what else you are going to teach me.❤
I’m relatively new at crochet. However I’m an expert at TH-cam researching and this video is now my ONLY video for magic circle and granny square. I can’t thank you enough.
It's like you're me, same dislikes with g-square n color change, ends, etc.. chain 3 starts, same! 1st I thought you were going to carry ends up but your way is brilliant. Thx for sharing, thx for informing that you've washed items. Some show w/o knowing the outcome of new techniques. Thx u
This is definitely not boring for me. I see I’ve been placing my needle in the wrong place for my double crochet. Believe me your time and detail was greatly appreciated.
You asked for a thumb up and a subscription, done and done. I’d also hug your neck if I could. This is a miracle. I HATE weaving in ends. THANK YOU so much!!
I love this. I have searched the whole morning for a sewfree Granny Square option and was not happy with neither of the countless I have watched. This is perfect. Though, I have modified your way of joining rounds with the one I am used to. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you! After seeking out numerous granny square “how to” videos, I can say this is THE ONE! Eliminating those unnecessary chains, or reducing the number makes it easier and faster. The color change and hiding the ends is so efficient. The border is an appreciated extra!
You are the only one who could get through to me on the brioche stitch…..now I am hoping you can do a tutorial on the virus stitch…..I want to make a virus hexagon cardigan…crocheted…you really are a very good teacher!
This is now my absolutely favorite granny square of all. I really dislike the holes in granny squares but I love granny squares. You have solved an ongoing dilemma for me.
Charlotte, I feel like I'm six months late to the party! Thank you for this helpful, careful, and enjoyable tutorial. I eager to try it out! I've got a square, glass jar with a lid...it's about five inches square, about seven inches high. My plan is to join granny squares to make a cozy for it. Your tutorial has inspired me!
I love your approach and how you have worked out what works best for you (and they work best for me too now). Your instructions are so clear and helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for these tips great ideas.ive been doing granny squares for years and hate sewing in the ends.will try your way.happy crocheting from Ireland.💖💖
I love it! I am so glad you are back i love watching all of your videos! Will you please show us your knitted blanket you knit for yourself and possibly a tutorial on it! I love your tutorials❤️
You didn’t put a second set of 3 DC in the last corner. Was that a mistake or is that corner supposed to have only one set of 3 DC? The last corner actually looks different than the other 3 corners.
Hi there, I know you were explaining what you were doing but I always want to know the 'why'? So when you joined with a hdc at the end of the first round, why do you do it that way instead of joining with a slip stitch? I came to this video, firstly because I thought you were reviewing the new 'all in one granny square yarn' by the same brand it turns out that you were using, but now am just intrigued to watch the rest of the video to see how you did your square and also because I much prefer the look of your non-gappy square without all the spaces in between, that to me looks so much nicer and neater than the traditional version with all the gaps! Thanks so much! 😊🙏🏻
Hello Charlotte, I have just found you on U Tube, watched your absolute beginners granny and a couple of other videos, brilliant. thank you I am an absolute crochet beginner. But I cant hold the yarn and keep the tension stable. I noticed that you dont hold the yarn through all your fingers, can I please ask how do you control the tension? thank you
Hi again, just still curious to know, what is the reason that you join your rounds with a half double crochet instead of a slip stitch? I like the look of doing it this way but just wanted to know the reason and how you came up with this method please?
I was wondering the same thing. Also, in an older video, she joins with a sc. And she doesn't count the 2 ch at joins as a stitch in her new method. Hope she answers!
I love this method of hiding/knotting the tails but the corner where the color change happens always looks like there are 4 double crochets on one side due to the beginning chain 2. Can I just count that chain 2 as the first dc of the cluster of 3?
Hi, can i ask why you don't crochet the last 3dc in the last corner. I noticed you started with 3dc then crochet round making 3dc chain1 3dc in 3 corners but not the first or last where you joined to finish. Thank you. Just curious x

She taught me how to make socks.

My grandmother taught me many years ago to crochet and red heart is my go to because of that reason. It's natural. Love it...❤

I love your approach and how you have worked out what works best for you (and they work best for me too now). Your instructions are so clear and helpful. Thank you.

I saw this too and think she just missed it.

Beautiful!❤
Thanks for the new to me method!
Great video, love your method!
Thanks for sharing this.
Amazing!!!
I love your techniques and the way you teach😊
Can you please make a tutorial for a tote bag for beginners like me😊😊
I love this concept, but I'm still paranoid about the knot coming undone. What do you think, am I crazy, have your knots ever come undone?
Great job it’s been so long sense i crochet
I love this method of hiding/knotting the tails but the corner where the color change happens always looks like there are 4 double crochets on one side due to the beginning chain 2. Can I just count that chain 2 as the first dc of the cluster of 3?
❤ very useful. Thank you so much !
Vey cool process.
That was very interesting thank you
Hi. Great tutorial. I noticed you didn’t put a set of three double crochet right at the end of the border. Was this intentional or an oversight?
Definitely an oversight… sorry about that… ❤️
@TheNervousKnitter thank you for replying. Love your channel 🌹💕
Ty ❤ I like your way 😊
Thanks so much 👍
Hi, can i ask why you don't crochet the last 3dc in the last corner. I noticed you started with 3dc then crochet round making 3dc chain1 3dc in 3 corners but not the first or last where you joined to finish. Thank you. Just curious x
Great question, honestly I think I flubbed… when finishing you should put 3 dc in the final corner… sorry bout that…
@TheNervousKnitter Thank you!
I'm going to try your way, hate weaving ends, live crocheting blankets among other things.
Thank you x
❤❤❤
How do I use the technique with join as you go?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
