This is a shining example of .. You're not paying for the time it takes me to polish your wheels .. You're paying for the time I spent learning how to polish your wheels . Awesome job man !
Watched all the way to the end. Literally always learn something new from these videos. I can watch the same video 3-4 times and learn something new every time.
You certainly make it look a whole lot easier than it is. I've watched a bunch of your videos and am a big fan. I have spent a few hours "trying" to polish my wheels and tanks. I suck at it. Ray Charles would laugh if he was here. Thank you for your videos.
I always polish my wheels, tanks and stainless every shinyyyyy season🇨🇦....now I'm retired from otr... I still like keeping a dump truck shinyyyyy.....great video...btw I jack the wheel up too makes it easier😎
Hey Evan I've been learning from ur videos for a decade at least thank you . I always watch from begging to end. It's the only way to learn. Thank you Esteban Lucio Phoenix az
Watched all the way to the end. Great learning tool for me ...as a quick maintenance keeps my truck looking good. First time I polished without experience took me two days on four wheels. Everybody knows that your a pro and you make it look easy. But we all know better, it's never as easy as you make it look. This has cut my time down to 45 min. per wheel, from 3 hours, and they look better now .
Watched all the way to the end! No one better on polishing! Evan man you need your own T.V. Show. Awesome work and I’ve learned a lot over the years watching your polishing and detailing videos!! Thanks man
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate the support and I am truly grateful that there are individuals that are finding these videos helpful. I do what I can to help others so they can gain the skills and knowledge of this trade. Thanks again.
I am always very impressed with your work . Did my drive wheels last week using what I have learned from watching your videos and they came out good for 5 year old wheels on a ( Michigan) truck . 40 years ago I only used NeverDull polish . I would never consider sanding on an aluminum wheel . On my drive wheels I started with 120 grit and worked my way up from there to 800 . Thanks for sharing some of your ( racing secrets ) for polishing metal.
Thank you for showing how to shine on the truck. getting ready to tackle my rims on my work truck with the wheels on. I watched til the end. Actually watching all your videos for any tips I can find.
Thank you for taking the time to watch. I am happy to hear that you found the information valuable and you're eager to apply it. Best of luck on those wheels!
Once again great video.. My son-in-law was asking me to train him on metal polishing for what I was doing. I showed him one of your videos and how dirty you get. It was funny he turned around put the phone down got up and walked away said to dirty of a job. I'll talk to him again in a couple of weeks after he Has had time to think about how much I was making when I was making. I showed him your video on on what you can make explain to him what you make and what I make and hes thinking about it but he expects to have the work waiting for him so when he does his other job and it slows down he has something to fall back on. Shine on.
Thanks Brother, it is a dirty job. It is hard work and takes dedication, but it's rewarding and the relationships that you build with your customers and followers makes it all worth it. They become family. Thank you for commenting and supporting my channel.
This is the first video I’ve watched from your channel. The delivery of your information was so straight to the point and then you demonstrated it just as you said. I just subscribed! I just started learning how to polish my forged wheels on my F350. Maybe I’ll come across some beginner videos in your channel once I check it out.
Every time I watch a Videos I learn something new . I’m glad you make the videos it helps Us keep our trucks clean and looking good going down the road. Kd
Thank you!! Thank you for your time that you take out to teach and help people. Learning from your videos has made me get into polishing and trying to learn tips and tricks from you. So again thank you.
Watch all the way to the end and just love your wheels and like everyone that said it you make it look easy! I have used some of your tricks to get my dump polished! Wish I could do like you!
I'm far from perfect but I have had done this for a while. Keep going and you will figure out little tricks that will make it easier and better for you. Thank you.
Good job and did watch to end. I'm just doing bit of research on best ways to polish aluminum rims and will be doing my Class A motorhome rims. Always feel rims/tire can make even a beater vehicle look 100% better!!!
Always watch your videos to the end . I've learned a lot from you through the years and I buff my wheels on my semi with fantastic results thanks to you
That was so amazing I do the same thing on regular trucks & sometimes I take em off the do them better looking inside & outside so it can be more cleaner & shine looking so the client be more happy going home I love this video 👍 thumbs up love watching this video
Always watch your videos till the end buddy!! I have never cut and polished aluminum rims before watching your videos. Bought some buffs and compounds and have been getting the hang of it. Far from show quality, but a hell of a lot better than what they were. Thanks for all the tips, tricks and videos Evan!!!!
You are very welcome. I am happy you are finding these videos helpful. Can only get better with practice and the right information. Thanks for watching.
You should still be able to do a 22.5 wheel with that machine. I have that machine as well. It is all about the angle of the buffer that allows you to get in there.
Watched to the end. Like your videos mate. Been driving for many years and always done wheels by hand with old rags. It was easier back in the day with steel rims and they could be spray painted with Kromebrite silver aerosol paint. You do great work and good videos too. It is just fascinating to see how you go about your work and the equipment you use. With all I have learned watching your videos, I still wouldn't do your work, I will stick to driving. Keep up the good work, best wishes from Australia
Thank you so much! I truly appreciate you. Thank you for watching my videos and taking time to comment. I agree it is a bit easier to paint the steel rims back in the day. Stay blessed and thanks again.
Just watching your TH-cam and learning lot's. And you're very helpful and hopefully it will help me out. Are trucks do mostly off hwy and the gravel is hell on the aluminum. Thanks for the information Evan.
Watched till the end as always my polishing steps vary so much depending on job but most of the time I do those exact steps orange/brown, white/green but some trucks I'll orange/brown hand polish then yellow/green amd finish white/blue you don't notice the difference of all the steps until direct sunlight or next to another piece with the base cut
Watched it all the way till the end like I always do with your videos. Your videos are very informative I've learned so much that you've taught in your videos I've probably saved two days worth of time on buffing my own truck out. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and I quote "deuces"
I watched to the end, again. This may be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyways. If a person jacked up the rear like you did, but put the transmission in low gear with the engine idling and polished, would it be any easier to get a good even shine. I'm a rookie polisher, but I'm grasping at straws to get a better result.
Unbelievable how fast you just did that. Wow just wow…we’ve been taking 22.5’s of the truck. So your saying it’s not possible to do that with the dewalt 3500 rpm variable all the way through?
It is a useful tool for maintaining wheels that already have some shine. But I personally don't have a use for one in my shop. But that is just me. I can cut and buff a wheel faster and find I get a better finish my way. But that is my opinion. It may work great for you. Just not my thing. Thank you for a great question. Thanks also for watching and supporting the channel.
@Evan Steger yes sir. I know your work is way more in-depth. I do fleet detailing by myself and figured it would be easier to maintain the rims with it. They don't look for perfection, just a clean look. I didn't know if the machine is any good or not to have. Plus my back isn't the greatest anymore. Age is creepin up lol.
I watched ALLL the way to the end!😎👍 I’m about to take your advice and polishing tips to a truck at work , I already have the makita tools you’ve spoken about I love the Makita brand thank you Sir✌️😎
All the way to the end and the wheels look great, a good polish can make the difference between getting respect and getting let go of a contract for looking dirty.
Watched all the way to the end. I've been doing 22.5s on the truck but my technique is different and slower. Still possible though. I use a almost worn out buff to do water ring and color whole wheel. Have been considering one of those 1 inch foam pad cable drive attachments to do in between lugs. Hopefully to speed up the hand polish.
G'day mate, watched to the end as usual 👍🏼 just about all the 10 studs in Australia are 22.5 so I was particularly interested in seeing you polish those rims, Really enjoy the content too 👍🏼

What makita tool is that, your work looks great
Did watch all the way. I got the makita 9237c polisher not the grinder. Maybe that's why I can't do my 22.5 like you have. Good video.
You should still be able to do a 22.5 wheel with that machine. I have that machine as well. It is all about the angle of the buffer that allows you to get in there.
@@EvanStegerMetalPolishing would a larger wheel help or is 10 inch good enough?

Like your polishing tips. I've been told there's two types of trucks the work horse and the show horse. I don't have any blue ribbons...
You are welcome. Thank you for watching.

Hey guys. Watched all the way to the end. Great work. Love the vids. Keep them coming. 👍👍
Awesome! Thank you!

Watched all way to the end. Thanks Evan!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Nice! I think I need to push more compound into my buff. My cut gets dry/ silver as I go

What about* using the Aussie Rim Shine Machine for fleet polishing? Pros and cons?
It is a useful tool for maintaining wheels that already have some shine. But I personally don't have a use for one in my shop. But that is just me.
