Marvin had 3 of the greatest albums ever made. This one, Let's get it on and of course What's Going On are untouchable. Maxwell has been chasing those albums his entire career.
I highly recommend you listen to Just To Keep You Satisfied by Marvin Gaye. You will not be disappointed. Really enjoyed your reactions and reviews to his works of art.
You will not find a smoother, sexier Soul/R&B album than this. Especially love the line "I don't want your number, I'm walking out of here with you babe". This was the blueprint for many quiet storm albums but not on the same musical scale. This is epic.
In a similar vein, I think you should listen to songs in the key of life, one of the best albums I've ever heard, it's by stevie wonder if you don't already know 👍
👍❤it! Thanks guys. I grew up in the 70's listening to Marvin's music. Love his voice. Like the selections you chose, except that instrumental version of "After the Dance", I prefer his beautiful vocals version. You guys gotta react to El Debarge's version of "After the Dance"> He knocked it out a the park too!!❤ Also check out a very popular mid 1970's grp> New Birth~"Been such long a long time", WildFlower, "Dream Merchant"👍🌼
60’s and 70’s. Bro went on a 5 album (starting in 70/1 I believe)run that is unmatched: What’s Going On I Want You Here, My Dear Trouble Man(Soundtrack) Let’s Get It On Absolutely ridiculous…..all concept albums too. Not just a bunch of singles thrown together (ie Thriller).
I got an album for y'all to def check out! The album is called, "Lonely Boy" by Scrim. The beats were all made by Scrim and his partner budd Dwyer. The beats, flow, lyrics are just something that i've been enjoying for some time now! The album is a bit different than anything i've been listening to from anyone! Trust me, the album will be your favorite and i can guarantee it! Scrim is out here fr making these dope ass beats!
He was actually singing to a young lady (17yo and he was like 34ish) who had been in love with him since she was a small child. Her parents actually brought her to him and they hit it off. His marriage with his wife (Berry Gordy’s Sister ) who was 17yrs older than him was ending. He went from one extreme to another and was obsessed with Janis. It’s all on the liner notes off the Deluxe CD.
Oh YES, music is the right ingredient to feed one's soul and spirit. But I am 100.000% sure you and 99,5 % of americans do NOT get the HEALTHY food everyday to EAT. States of America in the North, but I will never say united. It's for you to figured all this including history and all wars abroad as the media said and still says to protect theiiiirrrr interest which in fact are resources from developing countries as if these are their own valuable goods. Marvin was a great singer but mentaly a weak man, his dad never acknowledge his talent. The guidance of a new born child and respect was not in their house. Searching for these valuables in Belgium has shown even with great succes that he was NOT at HOME with those who could love and guide him. Appreciation after dead is for those who born after his passing by gunshots.
Still n my opinion....da most sumptuous album....eva....🙌🏽🙌🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🎯🎯🎯🎯💯
Let’s talk about how a lot of the harmonies was really Marvin layering his voice. There’s a video about it on TH-cam. 🐐
