i really don’t understand why they’re keeping peanut butter at that point. none of them seem to care for her very much at all, she stays outside all day because she’s not suited to be in a multiple-dog home, and she forces the other dogs to stay inside most of the time for the same reason. all of this could be solved if the family gave her to someone who appreciated her and had a home where she could be the only dog :/
probably because peanut butter would have been a nightmare to rehome, Imagine taking that dog to a shelter "hey this dog needs a new home because she's a threat to the safety of our other animals and has a pile of behavioural issues" There's no way that dogs getting rehomed in that scenario
@@Fordmister They could try to find a home for her themselves, but I do agree it would be very difficult to find someone to take her in in general. There are only a few scenarios where this could work well. They'd have to be very careful that they were placing her with an owner that would treat her right and have the time to train her and give her the attention she needs.
If I remember correctly, I think someone in the household took her in because she needed a home ASAP. They worked with Victoria on ways to manage her energy and make the backyard safer for her, but after thinking about it, they realized they didn't have the time to dedicate her, so they did ultimately end up rehoming her!
Yes! However, if Peanut Butter were wanted and appreciated it could be a solvable problem. She didn't seem so bad with the Pomeranians (although maybe it was worse than it looked), and Samantha the mastiff wasn't likely to live a very long time at this point (big dogs' bodies wear out much much faster than smaller ones). With a bunch of work, she would probably be ready to be integrated by the time Samantha reached the end of her life. We’re in quarantine and my dog just started going blind. It’s been actually a blessing cause I can get him used to the outside world without a lot of noises. Once the quarantine is over I’m confident he’ll be confident enough to be okay outside and not scared. Having a special needs dog is a lot more work but it’s a blessing too. The bound we had before his sickness and blindness has made this much easier. I moved from a townhouse to an apartment and my boy was having constant accidents, so I set up an area on my balcony with peepads and he rarely has accidents anymore. You do what you have to to make their lives easier.
That was how she started. She saw Supernanny & thought "I do that just with dogs!" so she contacted the same people who made Supernanny & they took her up on it, to the benefit of everyone! 😊
She literally accomplished nothing. All she did once again is put food in the dog's face and claimed victory from the other side of the fence. How in the heck do any of you think she is great? She knows nothing. PB is part terrier and maybe hound or GSP and needs a ton of exercise and someone to sit on him when he gets too focused on the old guy. If those people did give up PB then it just points to one more failure of Victoria.
@@cw6795 You need to watch the British episodes (because they are posted in full) to make a proper judgement. This youtube video is just a little snippet of a full episode which doesn't give you the full picture of all the things Victoria does. Also, tbh this was prolly one of the worst episode's I've seen. There's been SO many episodes where she's focused on exercising high energy breeds like you said. Also, she only builds a foundation, it's up to the owners to continue her work. And Victoria herself was involved in rehoming PB because honestly this was the one time (among HUNDREDS of episodes), PB just was not going to thrive with this family.
Samantha is so sweet. I love old dogs so much. I work at a dog kennel and all of my favorite dogs are geriatric (senior) dogs. They are just so goofy, sweet, and have so much personality. 🥺💕 Samantha is so happy just being pet!! 😭

My rescued lab mix just turned 17 and her son is about to be 13 on the 13th. Theres a special place in my heart for old dogs. Glad to see the family prioritize their old girls needs and do the right thing for peanut butter. That scented candle trick is genius!
i love my little old lady, she's almost 10 and this helps me think of ways to help her around the house if her vision goes. Also, slobberchops *sobbing* Victoria clearly has a soft spot for older dogs and I can't blame her one bit
Oh wow. These trick for older blind dogs are amazing! I always do the hand trick with all dogs, but the snapping is good to know. And the scented candles is genius!
I had to try to explain the incontinent problem to my grandmother because apparently she never had a dog with the issue. I told her the solution was those potty pads or diapers (since it was just pee and a little dog), not trying to re-house break the dog.
Sweet old Samantha reminds me of my own old gal. Miss Bea's a shih tzu, so she couldn't be more different in size! but she's now on diuretics which mean that, for the first time ever, she has accidents at night. It's very distressing for a dog who's always had perfect house manners to find herself unable to hold it. I've done the same as Victoria's suggests with puppy pads - you can also commit to a mid-night potty break. It's a hassle, sure - but it's your dog, right? I love Victoria's techniques - she has such compassion for each dog, and customizes her suggestions for each family. Personally, I think this family has more dogs than they can properly manage - I was glad to read below that Peanut Butter's getting re-homed. It's not fair to her to keep her outside - though it obviously isn't fair for an elderly blind dog to live in constant fear of attack, either!
So beautiful working with that blind big girl pooch🥺💗! Really glad they rehomed peanut butter because there's no way that would've worked. Also...how is Victoria in her 50's? She looks so much younger!
I’m learning so much about dogs and training from these videos. My dog pulls a lot less on the leash when I walk her and I got her used to taking ear drops when she used to run away from me! Thanks Victoria!!
My pittie Katie was 15 when she passed away 2 years ago. She had no teeth in the back of her mouth, she could hardly see but she could hear. She was the most amazing dog ever. I had her for 12 years.
My late grandmothers dog turned 16 this April and our entire family makes sure that she gets all the love and exercise she deserves, as she is really fit for her age. Although it's getting kinda hard walking with her, as her hearing and vision gets worse. This episode was especially interesting for me, with all the information Victoria had on older dogs.
Loved the candle idea! I also really liked how this clip focused on the dogs and the training itself. Felt very science minded. Not so much focus on the drama of the owners. Of course I liked the drama too 🤣 but everything in moderation
My dog lived to 18, he was a chihuahua mini-doberman mix. I got him when he was five months old and I was 12. He was my best friend and at times only friend. He had a heart murmur and cataracts, he died in my arms pretty unexpectedly. We didn't know the end was imminent so it made it so hard when he did pass. He fought until the end then I thanked him for being with me for so many years and that it was okay to let go and he just faded away. I still cry about it and the only time I get to see him is in my memories or in my dreams.
Making literal "pathways" that hugged the right side using rolls of this grip stiff from the internet is one of the things that helped my dog so much. Alternated the 4 patterns (ribbed, speckled, waffled, and plain) between locations.
Samantha reminds me of my dad's dog Nico, he's a 13 year old Airedale Terrier and is blind and deaf on his right side because he had a stroke at 7 years old He's such a good boy and gets along so well with my cat and dog
Just had to put my 10 year old bullmastiff down such a gentle giant. This episode made me cry. So happy she can live her rest of her life not being bullied
SuperMommav only when in the wrong hands... they have a large herding and prey instinct just like many other breeds. Socialization is key to any well rounded dog.
yep, as soon as I saw peanut butter I just knew she's part cattle dog, red too, she's got dingo in her. I had an almost pure red dingo/cattle & she'd bite people real sneaky like, either hide behind me & lunge out for a nip or sneaking under the table if I was sitting at one & bite anyone who sat with me if I didn't get in first with a glare, a pointed finger & bad sound directed at her. she ended up staying at home & only going for walks in the paddocks not up town with the staffies who were always polite & gentle.
If you train the dog correctly, it should not be an issue. My dog (pure bred cattle dog) has never had an issue with biting. Or fighting other dogs. He'd rather leave the area, it's the job of the owner. Not the fault of the dog. PB is just poorly trained, and is not socialized.
Rebekha and the philosopher is stoned. Preach! It’s all about socialization. My huskies are very well socialized. They will nip one another though to let them know they’ve had enough when they have chews ( not in a harsh manner ). I have also had pitbulls, dobermans, cattle dog mixes etc you name it. I make sure to socialize from a young age with dogs and people of all sizes in all environments. Not that I will ever leave a kid unattended with any dog but when we have Christmas parties the little ones are always laying by them and petting their tails ears paws etc. we also have a lot of dogs come over for play dates.
Really, they have an old and blind dog and never looked at Google how to make things better for her? I have a dog that now is blind, deaf, and has dementia, I searched for things to make the house safe. Plus, lovely dog and wonderful name ;)
I use the same treat training on my cats when I introduce them to new cats in the house, it's takes a bit more time but works quite well as a first step to at least stop them from hissing at the new cat
They should rehome Peanut Butter because she's left outside all day and night gets no attention and Bullies Samatha so no wonder she's bored and goes for easy prey and who knows what Peanut Butter would do the poms ..... I feel bad for both dogs ......

Awwww, good luck to you and your sweet newly blind boy!
She has such a wholesome heart i love it. I feel like she would be such a good mother or like foster parent or something
She is the supernany of dogs
That was how she started. She saw Supernanny & thought "I do that just with dogs!" so she contacted the same people who made Supernanny & they took her up on it, to the benefit of everyone! 😊
She really is. The voice for those who don't have one.
@@RebeccaKatsuya She's a million times more the trainer than that bully and wrongly named "Dog Whisperer" Milan.
Who knew we would learn about brains in this video!
Samantha is so sweet. I love old dogs so much. I work at a dog kennel and all of my favorite dogs are geriatric (senior) dogs. They are just so goofy, sweet, and have so much personality. 🥺💕 Samantha is so happy just being pet!! 😭
Samantha is beautiful for an old dog. So sweet! 💖
I'm so early there isn't hate on the owners
😂
Lol I’m surprised as well
Pretty sad though to dish out hate.... got nothing nice to say, keep your mouth shut
9 months later... still no hate
@Jon Smite there’s the hate!
I love educational Victoria, she could probably explain paint drying and be able to keep my attention
samantha is the cutest lil sweetheart i've ever seen. poor baby..
Samantha's so chill, too. Good girl, Sam.
I commented this on the last Peanut Butter video, but just so everyone knows, they decided to rehome her! I’ve watched the full episode on TV, so that’s how I know.
I love how Victoria is so nice to the dogs and actually cares for them more than the owner
Man this episode just shows the true knowledge and experience that Victoria has! I never would've thought about candles or mats for a blind animal.
My rescued lab mix just turned 17 and her son is about to be 13 on the 13th. Theres a special place in my heart for old dogs. Glad to see the family prioritize their old girls needs and do the right thing for peanut butter. That scented candle trick is genius!
We have a blind dog but luckily she's a Yorkie. We used some of these and she's been doing way better. Thank you
The candle thing is absolutely amazing. I would’ve never thought of that before
Poor Samantha.. old doggos deserve lots of treats and hugs 😞
i love my little old lady, she's almost 10 and this helps me think of ways to help her around the house if her vision goes. Also, slobberchops *sobbing* Victoria clearly has a soft spot for older dogs and I can't blame her one bit
Victoria as a dog trainer is the perfect balance of firm and sweet ! Love watching her with the dogs !
Oh my gosh what a sweet baby...this dog gets my heart
Oh wow. These trick for older blind dogs are amazing!
I always do the hand trick with all dogs, but the snapping is good to know.
And the scented candles is genius!
Victoria has such a sweet calming nature with dogs and they obey her every command. She is by far the best dog trainer around.
Seeing Victoria hug the Mastiff made my eyes swell with tears! :'((
I’m so glad this dog got the help she needed
I had to try to explain the incontinent problem to my grandmother because apparently she never had a dog with the issue. I told her the solution was those potty pads or diapers (since it was just pee and a little dog), not trying to re-house break the dog.
Blind nd old dog God bless u baby.... U have great family thy take care of u baby
Wish there was more owners like you😉
So beautiful working with that blind big girl pooch🥺💗!
I love Victoria's problem solving skills! Such a smart gal
My pittie Katie was 15 when she passed away 2 years ago. She had no teeth in the back of her mouth, she could hardly see but she could hear. She was the most amazing dog ever. I had her for 12 years.
Makes me think of my old girl. We lost her last year, late September.
She was a special doggo. Keep her collar next to a photo of her in my study.
My labby is 12 and has cataracts in both his eyes.. And so his sight is gradually weakening.. Got some good pointers here.. Thank you Victoria ❤
Samantha is a sweetie pie! Omg I love her and she's not even mine!
God I feel so bad for the older dog I want to cry
I feel bad for the blind dog
Kennedy Ross I feel bad for Samantha (which is the blind Dog) too
Same
thankfully Peanut Butter was rehomed
My dog was 15 years old when we needed to put her down.
XxxAshandRaidyxx X that’s sad😭
Yesterday we put my 13 year old boy blue after a long battle with cancer😣😖
Im so sorry to hear about that!! :( its so hard to put your dog down. I had to put my dog down after she battled cancer also
I’m sorry for your loss!!!
My one dog was 13-14 yrs old and needed to be put down and that was a month ago
Just like an old person getting dimentu I'm so glad the old dog got peace in her old age xxx
I'm glad Victoria said she will help rehome peanut butter
I just started watching her shows two weeks ago she is amazing animals well she’s a blessing from God I was standing
Making literal "pathways" that hugged the right side using rolls of this grip stiff from the internet is one of the things that helped my dog so much. Alternated the 4 patterns (ribbed, speckled, waffled, and plain) between locations.
Victoria is the best! I'm learning so many things that will make my dogs quality of life much better!
Samantha reminds me of my dad's dog Nico, he's a 13 year old Airedale Terrier and is blind and deaf on his right side because he had a stroke at 7 years old
He's such a good boy and gets along so well with my cat and dog
I cant belive that victoria is STILWELL after dealing with all these annoying owners
Poor Samantha, she was literally Peanut Butter’s toy!
She really is someone I inspire to me!
Just had to put my 10 year old bullmastiff down such a gentle giant. This episode made me cry. So happy she can live her rest of her life not being bullied
These were filmed over 10 years ago so all the dogs are likely dead.
@@danielledewitt1 still I hope (past tense) she got to live the rest of her life without being bullied.
Slopper chops! Oh gosh! My heart kind of melted at that nickname.
the way Victoria says "very good" at 9:42 is soooo soft
awwwwwwwwww I hate that this dog is blind I just can’t! I love how Victoria helped!
Peanut butter looks like she is part cattle dog. Cattle dogs are notoriously bad with other dogs.
Lol yah, all the 4 i know really are 🤣
Really, they have an old and blind dog and never looked at Google how to make things better for her? I have a dog that now is blind, deaf, and has dementia, I searched for things to make the house safe. Plus, lovely dog and wonderful name ;)
This poor dog thanks for helping the dogs your the best! 😅
Beautiful hearing Victoria explaining
I’m more of a cat person but I still love dogs!😊
I am like that too
I got 3 cats and 5 dogs😄 All friends🐶🐱🐩🐺
Same! I've got two cats, one detests dogs, so I probably won't get another dog until he passes away (had a chow mix growing up, she was amazing).
Same but for me is the other way around.
same!! i love cats and dogs almost equally, but the cats lead by just a liiiittle bit! xD
Lilbit6482 Lilbit6482 They did rehome PeanutButter in the end
@@calamitynatalie8590 Oh ok that's great news..... I remembered the episode guess I forgot about that thanks for letting me know 😀
Lilbit6482 Lilbit6482 I was looking in the comments for some kind of outcome and someone who saw the episode was talking about it. I think that was for the best.
@@calamitynatalie8590 yeah for both dogs I felt so bad about Peanut Butter neither of them deserved that.....
Lilbit6482 Lilbit6482 They said that Victoria was going to find her a home! Don’t feel bad for PeanutButter, she will be in a much more appropriate home and live her best life!
What a sweet old girl!! ♥
