- Hello and welcome to the lunchtime crew's My Hero Academia Chapter Review! This is my review of the recent happenings in the newest My Hero Academia Manga Chapter. And with it comes the thrilling continuation of Keeping up with Todoroki’s: Dabi Edition! And it’s safe to say once again things really start to heat up! For like 2 minutes because this chapter is really short and has actually made me quite worried about the progression of the series!!
And so without further ado let's jump right into My Hero Academia chapter
389 titled: Relief and Prayers!

As a Dabi simp, it feels like torture..
Next is 390, that’s going to be the big climax to this storyline. Just like all the other major Dabi moments in 190 and 290.
Horikoshi seems to have deliberately plotted the chapters this way to line things up.
Well that make sense and give a reason why this chapter is soooooo short
Todoroki Family vs Dabi within 6 chapters (387-391) and after that it’s Uraraka vs Toga/Twice within 3 chapters (392-394) then it’s the other fights between Aoyama vs Kunieda and Sero, Ojiro and Sato vs Gashly within 1-2 chapters (395-396) then it’s Eraser Head and Present Mic vs Kurogiri and Dr Garaki returns for his revenge within 3 chapters (397-399) then it’s All Might vs AFO within 5 chapters (400-405) and last is Deku vs Shigaraki within 10 chapters (402-412)

If Five Peepee Man ended up becoming Shoto's hero name by media popularity, how will Shoto and his family, Endeavor in particular, will reacted to this?

Shoto and his family will not like that named but Shoto’s hero name should have been called Icy Hot as Bakugo’s suggestion or called himself Freeze Man
Well you have to remember Hori and other mangakas had to put out chapters before golden week so it makes sense for it to be short.
What's golden week ? Is it like the most optimal time for mangakas to put out stuff ?

@@robynb7083 it’s a national holiday in Japan celebrating the four holidays (Shōwa Day (April 29), Constitution Day (May 3), Greenery Day (May 4), and Children's Day (May 5)). Majority of the mangakas had to put out two chapters before going on vacation so Hori put out two short chapters.
With chapters released only 11 pages or 13 pages then once anime adapts MHA Final War Arc it will be 4-5 chapters adaptation per episodes
I could have sworn "5 Peepee Man" was what the kids called Kacchan 🤣

Phoenix Dabi is one hell of a stupid theory sir.
Tho this chapter was short it looks like it's building up to some major hipe, plus it's not the only final battle at play
Young afo is on a collision course with mecha All Might in a battle against time
Deku is fighting with the demon known as Shigaraki (one a mental level this guy overpowered the formed king of demons afo)
And now we have the todoroki family trying to slow down and stop dabi exploding while shoto is flying over on a self made jet (btw when did he learn to shape his ice) (also btw dabi is gonna go nuts when he sees his youngest brother, probably from pleasure at being able to take out his father and shoto at the same time, but given he's gonna insane again does that mean he may actually try to stop it (insanity square = sanity ???))
It’s like Top 4 Major Battles on Final War
1. Deku vs Tomura Shigaraki
2. All Might (Mecha) vs All For One (Prime)
3. Endeavor, Shoto & Todoroki Family vs Dabi
4. Uravity, Froppy & Gunga Mountain Team vs Himiko Toga and Twice’s Doubles
While Fat Gum and Can’t Stop Twinkling vs Kunieda and Takoba Stadium Team vs Gashly are going to be 1-2 chapters just like Jaku Ruins Team vs Paranormal Liberation Front, La Brava hacks Skeptic and has him captured by Hound Dog and Ketsubutsu Academy and AFO spies are captured by Gunhead, Battle Fist & Real Steel and Eraser Head & Present Mic vs Kurogiri is going to be 3-4 chapters except Dr Garaki will return for his revenge against Eraser Head and Present Mic and he will do like Baxter Stockman did back in 1987 animated series or 2003 animated series from TMNT

I'm hoping next chapter will be the time that everyone manages to say something to Toya. My last shred of hope for Toya's survival and Enji's arc actually working is for Shoto's attack to completely cool everything down. I will say, I'm not completely against Toya dying, as it could be a nice bittersweet end to his story, it's more so Enji's arc that I've been worried about since it's been continuing to be really weird. So he started off being someone who put his place as a great hero over his kids, to still being someone who put his place as a great hero over his kids. That being said, Enji's bad arc aside, I'm still so happy that the rest of the Todoroki family is in on the action and we'll probably be getting more interactions with them and Toya (probably as he's dying).
Shoto's story is also important not just Toya or Enji.

Shoto really is the hero of the family. Just as everything seems hopeless he's gonna come in clutch and save the family, hopefully Touya included. Honestly, the whole family, minus Endeavor, trying to stop and save Touya's life here definitely wasn't something I expected, but here we are

Why were you worried about the progression of the series?
Almost everyone in the fandom is of the opinion and it is correct that Dabi should already die, there are many chapters, the redemption of the soul but not of his body.
How it survives is to kill the fluidity of the work

Yeah, Dabi's definitely gonna meet his end in the next chapter, and this chapter is only further proving that. There's quite literally no way for him to survive at this point; his body's on the verge of being incinerated. I have a feeling that Endeavor might meet his end, too, but I'm not quite sure about what Shoto might do.
Once again, this was a short chapter, but it was still very good. Can't wait for the next one!
