Switzerland was my worse nightmare. Terrible people, horrible weather, a sad atmosphere... I guess the word "suicide" came from Swiss-side. Because that's how you will feel after moving there. I lived in an amazing house in Bach, same canton Schwyz. A house that was lake front, full marble, amazing views (Switzerland has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, I must admit) but even being a naturally happy brazilian girl, the country was successful in putting me depressed. Not strange it has the highest suicide rates in the world. Now I know why... I still have a tour, here in my channel, of my 5M euros swiss home that I recorded about 10 years ago. Moved to Madrid and I love life again. Life is amazing when we dont live in Switzerland!!!!

The people you surround yourself with make or break your living experience but that's the case for everywhere you go. Maybe you didn't have a profound, happy and active group of friends in CH? Imo, the weather combines perfect lake weather in the summertime with amazing alpine winter sport conditions during the dark months. Central and Northern Europe in general might not be for you. Madrid is a whole different vibe 👍

Prosperous places gain nothing by selling out scarce land Ressources to economically inactive or unproductive (non employed, retired) immigrants. They have to at the very least contribute their share of per capita gdp meaning they have to contribute 180k annually (average Swiss workers productivity in CHF) to the Swiss Economy, else they're not worth it and should be replaced by someone who does contribute to the bottom line. Mind you, if you are in that bracket you can get residency anyways and buy real estate in which case that pays off for the state...

The garage was initially planned for 4 cars. It is also possible to park on the street. The house is built to the owner's personal preference. You can have a larger garage if you wish. In Switzerland, they love good cars.
weather is still bad there (like anywhere in CH) and the taxes are a lot higher but yeah, the location is much better. people are arrogant snobs in both places - not my cup of tea. not like i could afford either. if i was moving again i'd move to Zug. that's the real best to live in CH. close to zürich (airport), luzern, the mountains (ski resorts), and it has the actual lowest individual taxes of any place. if you have the multiple millions needed for a house like this you might as well live in Zug.

you can get a decent house for a mil. good location? maybe an apartment starting at 2.5mil. full on house in a good location? impossible. i have a house in a marginal area i don't think i'd sell for 1mil, i couldn't ever get this again...
hope you'll tell the people as well that it's even unobtainable for a head of department in a public hospital or just a director of finance in a smaller company and that such kinda houses are only meant for millionaires. other than that the canton of Schwyz is beautiful and safe. if you can deal with a certain kind of boringness it's the right place for you and your family. Switzerland is heading towards a 10 million population country with all its pros and cons. most likely everything you want to do on the weekends is crowded and it got much more dirty over the last decade in the bigger cities and drugs and violence are now common on a moderat level. still I would say it's one of the best places to live and if you leave let's say Britain (London area) as a person with wealth and a certain demand for base functions a country offers you're more than pleased to live in one of these nice houses.
I would never pay for a house like this in Switzerland if I could afford it, here in Switzerland the neighborhood is complicated, even if you own your house people cause problems which often go very far. With $10 million I would rather buy a remote ranch in Colorado, even though I love my country so much. And the house looks like a large office, it's beautiful and sober, but nothing more..
