Always put in holes on connection pads. Someone in always gonna complain...like me :b. But for real a through hole is always good for testing and hookup
I purposefully went for single-sided pads so that the board may be placed flat against the frame without risk of solder seeping through and shorting out on the conductive carbon fiber
@@fractalengineering I never had vias specially covered because that costs extra at most places and Im a cheap bugger. Will you do efficiency measurements?
@@Alpine_flo92002 haha same here; fortunately there was no need for it as I just covered the opposite side with silk screen, I've just added a little white rectangle over the vias on the back side Absolutely planning to make a proper power/efficiency sweep, working on automating the measurement protocol by SCPI; will be a whole other video
2.1A is an impressive spec for that size. The remote function is even more impressive. Amazing work
Thank you very much; not too much to it really, just a spin on a feature already existing on the IC
This is so cool!
Very Kool! Thanks!
what's this for?
5V voltage booster for FPV drone; you can read more about it on the link in description
@@fractalengineeringthis is cool shit
Genius man. How many amps can it switch?
thanks mate, the IC is rated 2.1A

@@fractalengineering Well you got vias on the pads...atleast I think those are vias
@@Alpine_flo92002 correct, tiny ones though, and covered with silk screen on the B side; haven't found seep through to be an issue
