- Taped from "Jools Holland Hootenanny Party" on 31/12/2011 - 01/01/2012 on BBC 2.
Jools always has some surprises in his programm. This was another one!! Great fun to see this four guy's singing and playing. Great performance! Another good start for 2012!!
Dang it's good to hear somebody play and sing western swing like they MEAN it.
I’ve NEVER seen a better band! Awesome is inadequate!
that double bassist is the deffinition of awesome
Best version. Absolutely perfect.
I agree!! Thanks.
I've never heard a band so tight, even when they just jam in the middle of songs. Epic stuff
Watching them live is like going back in time and watching one of the most famous bands around.
Hot damn now it's a hootenanny! Pass the fire water!
This song has been the anthem of many of my nights. Thanks pokey!!!!
My grandfather played banjo, acoustic, accordion and harmonica, love this music, 43 now and I haven't heard it since I was 10, lol
so much real talent .... really stands out from the stereotype crap we have to suffer and who can be the most famous the quickest,
Superb performance. These guys are brilliant.
Oh ... Just exactly eleven jears ago ....
POKEY...SIMPLY PRICELESS !
I love how excited jools was after all the great acts he must of seen

We need more artists like this fellow! :D
Fabulous in every way... perfect!
I love seeing authentic American old time music and not a hippie/hipster interpretation of it.
It's important to preserve Americana. It is our history after all.
Asylum Street Spankers!! Robert Crumb and the Cheap Suit Serenaders....Yup...That R.Crumb .....
I'm glad Pokey was born in my time 😊👌☺️
It is physically impossible to be sad when listening to this song. It should be mandatory listening by all diagnosed as depressed. I'm thinking those drug companies just might be put out of business by Pokey and crew! NICE!
Dudes give me hope.
I'm drinking it with you boys! You're great, love your music.
I saw you guys crossing the Road after I saw you play the Cheltenham Jazz Festival... I almost had a heart attack, love you guys :o
Going to see Pokey at the Hinterland Festival this year!!

Do it and you will never forget 2013!!
Person they are from the BLUES MECCA of the USA.....St. Louis, MO.
Hey.... Texas is the birth place of Blues... Chicago ain't nothin to sneeze at either... Blues is born in your blood! That's TRUE blue blood! Not from what part of the country you are from..I think you could find blues all over the world . plenty of folks singing the blues lately !
@@melanieelliott8417 ha! sorry melanie. texass aint got nothing on memphis. but you're right. it's in the blood .....
Pokey is originally from Bloomington, illinois. Right up Route 66 from St Louis. Who knew, right ...

excelente
Depression era music.
Was that Lemmy on the washboard?!?
It's about the music and not how people look. Hippie or not..
Ryan Koenig is about the coolest dude anywhere. What a shame he's gone for the full hipster beard - this is the look :-)
Shame they no longer perform together. Added some drums and same brass and ruined them.
Superb
