Suzuki DR200SE farm spec - inspection with Tool Girl Holley

- This little bike has been waiting quite a few months for Holley to come out of Lockdown! It's the full farm spec version from the Suzuki DR200 range, a little different to Tool Girl Lilli's version.
In this video Holley & I give the bike a good look over & make a list of all the faults/repairs needed - I can tell you now it's a long list!
I'll be completing all of the repairs over the next few weeks/months with many of the repairs been covered on videos too...

I do like the new tool girl winter safety gear. Form and function. Concerning the long shipping times for bike parts coming from overseas on merchant ships, if the ship's crew knew that Tool Girl Holley's bike parts were in one of the containers, I'm sure they would put on a few extra turns of the wheel to arrive at the port of Auckland a bit faster. That is just an opinion from a former merchant mariner who in now on the beach.
Get Holley some gloves when using grinder. Tool girl lives matter
She's holding the outside shell and handle of the grinder, this task was perfectly acceptable to accomplish without gloves. Next thing we know silly people expect OSHA regulations on personal production TH-cam videos🤦. When necessary, sure yes. The 2nd aspect of the comment is comical based on the insanity of the modern world.👍
@@Roboticdoughbull3k no. there is no handle or guard on that grinder. I agree that silly people are taking over and demanding safety everywhere. but i wouldnt let a woman come into my workshop and use my grinder without a handle or guard on it.

Why did the tappets go quiet after it ran. It can't be the adjustment or the noise would have persisted ?
Thermal expansion & likely not oil in the head as it had been stood a long time.
I'll be checking them anyway :-)

Those leggings are very cool, and when my wife would ask why are you staring so intently? I could simply reply that I was trying to see how to disassemble an alternator.
Maintenance is a forgotten art in New Zealand , that bikes had a hard life can you use it as a boat anchor?

Oh....nothing to worry about, Holley has completed extensive training for wearing those heals, she finds them surprisingly comfortable :-)

Way to much work needed on that old bike... I wouldn't spend the money on it...
I hear you.....but.....Given I'm doing the work myself & the parts needed have come in at just over $500 the bike will be worth around $1,500 once completed.
However, I'm not doing it for profit, let's face it, it's Tool Girl Holley's bike so anything goes!
Besides, there is some work that isn't covered on video yet so some viewers will find those repair videos helpful too :-)
