Maaan. The whole scene beef was crazy. My cousin grew up with Elliot of blessthefall. He would come chill whenever he was in town on tour, so got to hear about all of that ETF/btf stuff. This scene beef and picking which band you liked was the equivalent of being gang affiliated 🤣🤣. Good times

Craig was ousted from BTF and started The Word Alive. ETF asked him to cover for a tour and he became permanent. TWA kicked him out because they didn't want to be a side project. They wanted to be a full time band.
Being 30 and knowing everyone of these bands you talk about and some I remember and didn’t care for. It’s interesting to hear all these stories. Good content. This may be a stretch but a story on design the skyline. Cause they were so hated on.

I remember my friends back then saying they heard a Tyler laugh in there and having debates about it 😂 that shit was really the talk at the time
So a lot of people think it was Tyler’s laugh in ‘Vengeance’, but the laugh you hear was actually Austin.

When King of Amarillo and I’ve Told You Once dropped it actually was a huge deal. Not often do bands in the scene have a “hip hop style” beef, but that’s really what it felt like lol

Thank you for making this video . Fun stories . I met Michael in 2011 on their November tour. His girlfriend just broke up with him that day on the phone and he was trying not to cry but was being super nice to fans that wanted to take photos . Met Tyler when he was doing his solo shows and he told me about Issues months out. Hung out on their tour bus in 2013. Austin was nice to me but I knew he was problematic. Doriano made his girlfriend cry…. On her birthday . And Kevin was nicest dude. I hope the best for him.

I always loved "A story to tell" from Genesis. I'm not sure if was directed at ex woe is me members but it's still my favorite hardcore song from that time. It just slaps and I'm tired of pretending like it doesn't.

@@ReanuKeaves1 For real, it still gets me so pumped up even ten years later. Also gotta say I wasn't ever a huge fan of Woe is me with either lineup but I much prefer Hance's vocals. Seems like every band wanted a clean vocalist who could sing incredible high but Hance had such a deep and gritty voice that seemed a much better fit for the genre.
The end clean vocals were great! I barely listened to Genesis but every Hance part really stood out.

Issues has such an interesting career trajectory ahead of them. On one hand, Tyler’s firing was almost the destruction of the band’s identity. However, with beautiful oblivion came the cementing of what we already knew- issues is composed of incredible musicians. They’ve said on twitch streams they plan to continue on and release singles with different vocalists each time. Whether or not that’s feasible or just a life-preserver will be seen soon enough. Either way, I’m excited for what’s in store for them.

I think Doriano had replied to a video from TO's first show back and was laughing or something and that set it all off.
