Been listening to Brand New since 2003. That band means so much to me. I met my first real friend during my first day of high school. I had a Brand New patch on my backpack and he was like "they're a good band," and the rest was history. He ended up being my best friend throughout my high school and college career. He pretty helped shape my life, into the man I am today. Sadly, he took his life several years ago.
Sorry for your loss man. With each album release (no matter how painstakingly long) it’s been oddly accurate, lyrically and thematically, to that period of my life. I’m positive that almost every fan who followed along all those years felt that similar connection. I know it allowed me to manage my mental state to some extent while going through difficult times. I can only assume that your friend, while battling his demons, likely used brand new in a similar way. I had always assumed Jesse had been dating the girl. Holy crap that truly is the lowest stakes beef possible while simultaneously being completely understandable having been a dumb emotionally immature Long Island teenage boy myself and gotten into fights with close friends over that exact scenario. I think the only connection to the Lacey misconduct is that entire strain of emo betraying a pretty unhealthy entitled attitude towards women. With regards to the later Lazzara statement, it could be behind the scenes knowledge but it was also kinda common knowledge within the scene that Jesse Lacey was quite a misanthropic unpleasant person.
Yes, absolutely. Of the few times I've seen Brand New, once at the House of Blues, he (Jesse) was....drunk or on acid, lol something. He was totally phoning it in, not even singing at a lot of parts. It was a concert worth paying for yes, but he for sure wasn't giving it his all...and many people noticed.
I thought the bigger beef was between TBS and Straylight Run back in the day. Half the band abruptly quit in the middle of tour, started a new band, leaked some demo songs alluding to Adam. And “Where You Want to Be” was the response album from TBS. So much emo drama 😂
I love your videos, they really bring me back. I will never forget how I discovered Taking Back Sunday back in 2003 When I was 12 my mom took me to go see one of my favorite bands at the time Blink 182 and I will never forget the feeling when this pretty unknown band opened the show for Blink It was Taking Back Sunday, it completely blew me away and I went and got the first two albums as soon as I could. I've been a fan ever since and holy crap the mosh pit they had was awesome. Not long after my mom and I started seeing them all over the radio and MTV. What a great show, No Doubt was supposed to play after them but cancelled so Cypress Hill took the spot for them Much thanks for the videos man keep it up!
Instant follow. In fact, I think I love you..... No, HI! Reggie here from Aphile *Early 200O's band from B-more). Listen, I just want to say thank you for bringing relevance back to 2 of my 10 favorite bands of all time. You da Man!!!
I was a hardcore TBS fan back then, and now that I’m finally going to a concert soon I felt like I had to get my facts straight on this hahahah thank you for this video! Subscribed!
brand new was one of my absolute favorite bands growing up- they showed so much maturity and some really great songwriting and production on the devil and god, daisy and science fiction. it was really sad to learn about jesse lacey’s (more than just allegations) misconduct. he even confirmed it himself.
@@melancholist”he even confirmed it himself” isn’t entirely true. He never confirmed he messed with under age girls. The initial girl that accused him and said she was under age at the time was actually proven to have been lying. She has graduated high school a few years prior to meeting Lacey. So they did have a relationship but NOT while she was under age. She also didn’t “come out about it” until after her friend who was a guitar tech was fired by Jesse Lacey and after he tweeted “with all these allegations going around does anyone have anything on Jesse Lacey?” Also he supposed email proof was proven to be a mass email to fans in regards to the release of an album. So super sus. Lacey simply just said he use to have a drinking problem and treated women badly. (Which he had been open about for many many years prior to the allegations) The Brand New shows I attended they asked for food and supplies for women’s shelters. So I believe he was a jerk. And changed. And is innocent of the under age thing. But was open about being guilty of treating women and other people badly. He talks about it a lot at shows.
@TheSleepyJoenah. Not for the under age thing. In fact the girl that accused him of it was proven to be lying about how old she was. She wasn’t under age when they had a fling. She also didn’t say anything until after her friend who was a guitar tech got fired by Jesse Lacey and tweeted of anyone had anything on Lacy that could get him cancelled. So super sus. Jesse has also been super open for many years before the allegations that he was a bad person in his youth and treated people , especially women, very poorly. But the brand new shows I attended they asked you to bring food and supplies for women’s shelters. So I believe he was a jerk but changed. He gave credit to his brothers in brand new and his wife for fighting for him and their relationship even after he did her wrong. The love and Grace they showed him changed him.
Good job man! I’m from LI, grew up in the scene and liked both band’s, never took sides after learning they had “beef”. I respect them both more after learning it was strategically planned, playing right into the hands of fans lol
The feud did get a second wind after Nolan left TBS and started Straylight Run. it was kind of a triple feud at that time with songs like play crack the sky and slow dance adding some more drama into it, was worth mentioning imo
YOU CRUSHED IT AGAIN, MY DUDE! This is subject is something I brought up in my earlier comments when I first found you two years ago. You make such great content. It’s so cool you do such niche stuff but a little sad you’re not to 50K subs yet. You deserve at minimum one-hundo and greater, dude. Love your material and you really do your research and KNOW YOUR SHIT!
I'm with you. BN music as a whole is so much better than TBS. I was really into TBS too but wouldn't say I love any album all thw way through. I moreso had a couple of songs I loved on albums with a handful I liked and another handful I always skipped.
Would you ever cover Brand New on this channel? I KNOW it's a bit of a sore subject for some, and rightfully so, but there's no denying their impact on the music world.
@@Ama40401 TCR actually goes into it into this video, basically some chick's accused him of sexually exploiting his minor fans back in the day. Think what you want of jesse, but brand new and Vincent and the other guys still deserve respect in the emo genre. They were the emo genre
@@aironnocturnal5365 Very disengenuous take as they're one of the most talented bands in the emo genre. Incredibly influential on the genre's "revival" and pretty much all the bands in the emo genre suck them off pretty hard.
Didn't expect Rufio to be featured in this video but they have one of the coolest debuts in pop punk ever, not to mention their song "She Cries" was miscredited as being a Simple Plan song in P2P apps back in day, I wonder if anyone else found about them that way too
I do think the lines, "best friends means.. best friends means.." is resolved. Of course at the end of the song but also in that moment as well because it gives you a sense that they both have an unspoken understanding of what that means. I think its good writing 😂
Apparently, the "wearing your black eye like a badge of honor" is based on John giving Jesse a black eye and Jesse posting a photo online and trying to get people to feel sorry for him. I'm not sure how true all of that is. But there is, in fact, a picture of Jesse with a black eye that he posted during this beef, so who knows? I will say, though, we got some great and classic songs out of this beef and while I love both bands they both hold a special place in my heart, Brand New became one of my all time favorite bands of any genre.
Something that I think actually makes this "feud" the most interesting is that these songs end up not falling into the the exact boring sexist themes that a lot of other emo does at this time ("The Curse of Curves" is the worst example). It's not GREAT to women of course (they're treated more like plot points than people) but it means that the songs end up being focuses on these intimate male friendships. It's never that they miss the girl--it's that they miss each other.
This "feud" was interesting. BUT to me the most interesting was that TBS used a Brand New song to inspire some of the lyrics on "There's No 'I' In Team"; can't believe I am just now learning this
i felt the same way when Adam made that comment in 2015, when that stuff came out in 2017 i instantly thought of those comments. i think he might have known something but didnt want to be the guy to call it out. Great video, I used to be a hardcore Brand New and TBS fan, you taught me a lot of stuff i didnt know lol
26:42 shout out to Sal Villanueva, he recorded my band and played in Murphy’s Law. Awesome dude, TBS liked him so much they named a song after him “the ballad of Sal Villanueva”. Nothing to do with the video, just wanted to throw that out there.
I do wonder if Adam’s 2015 comments were just a way to drum up hype for both the new albums coming out from TBS and Brand New in the near future. Let’s be honest, most people had lost interest in TBS by 2015 and so just seems like an attempt to make a quick headline.
You glossed over the Kitchen being a local hangout spot in Long Island where the two bands hung out and the supposed "stolen lines" that John and Jesse wrote there.
This is like the second or third video I've seen from you and you're pretty funny dude, I usually don't like funny dudes but you're cool. I'm in no way you avoiding your channel at all but it's only come up and I've only seen what has come up and that's about three times three videos, so I'mma keep an eye out for you to look up your channel some more and I'll probably be subscribed by the time you read this depending on things. I love the rock content, big into metal stuff nowadays and got my roots with bands like brand new so this was pretty fresh and also a kick back to the old days so, thanks dog. good stuff
on the back of the brand new “because mics are for singing not swinging” merch it said “you know who you are” i saw some photos of the hoodie version recently :p
I had the hoodie in 05, but i accidently ordered a freakin youth small instead of a regular small, ugh. Needless to say, I didn't wear it much as i could hardly zip it up! I still have the jellyfish tote from that order though!
There's still a lot of other beef to discuss. There's the Adam and Jesse beef ("Okay, I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't"). While Jesse and John were able to make up, it feels like (my speculation) Adam and Jesse have always hated each other, or at least never been in a room together long enough to resolve it. Then the rest of the internal TBS drama (John and Shaun leaving and making Straylight Run, Fred leaving, Matts getting kicked out for TAYF lineup, Eddie's departure).
CONCEPT: a working playlist of allllll the beef songs that have been featured on this channel (preferably in order i.e. "seventy times 7" followed by "there's no 'i' in team", "vengeance" followed by "king of amarillo", etc.), it'd be bop after bop after bop lol
I saw Brand New at the 9:30 Club in 2004 and John Nolan was up in the Box seats going back and forth laughing with Jesse while he was on stage, it was cool to see.
I'm 34 and Brand New was my favorite band back in 2008-2010 and I used to be Team Jesse so hard during all the discussions of these songs and it's freaking hilarious to find out the truth was so much nothing. I'm laughing at my own naïveté back then 😂
Brand New will always be my life and my soul. Jesse influenced me to write, I’m a serious poet and write music for a living… I get it, people do shit and in the past, I did myself would lie about my age just to hang out with guys and have fun But…. Appreciate the video. Had both bands albums, cuz my band buddies listened you know how it is. One listens we all listen. Brand New just did it for me and saved my life when my parents divorced, when my parents moved away, when my parents died… Brand New was there for me.. gosh hate that they aren’t together I would play Taking Back Sunday, on my acoustic at parties to get guys to look at me. It worked haha but yes, this is hometown local band drama shit haha Know all about it… But thank you 🙏 came across your channel cuz I was missing Brand New and was just surfing and happy I found you Thanks ❤
I remember when Taking Back Sunday’s first album dropped. It blew me away. I still have that CD. I had no idea about this beef. I never even listened to Brand New. I don’t know why, they just didn’t cross my radar back then. I can’t remember if I picked up swinging my microphone from AFI or Taking Back Sunday. Maybe a combination of the two. I know I aped Davey Havoc’s mic style a lot. But I learned a valuable lesson one night as I swung my mic around, the mic disconnected from the cord and rocketed straight into the pickup of my Les Paul, denting the pickup cover. I learned that if you’re going to swing your mic like a goon, wrap the connection with duct tape so it’ll stay attached. It never disconnected on me again.
I don't care that much about this particular fued/beef/misunderstanding or whatever you want to call it, *BUT* I LOVE THIS CHANNEL & will listen to you talk about Ke$ha, Rihanna or whatever you want to talk about! (Please talk about Saosin sometime soon!)
I actually hosted a show with John and Shawn’s band Straylight Run in 2008 (two years before they reunited with TBS). I was having a beer with John, Shawn, and their drummer Will, and I actually asked him about this beef. He told me that he thought the sensationalized versions everyone said was really funny, and it was pretty much nothing. Basically they just rolled with it for the lolz. Pretty much what you’ve said in this video, John told me directly when I asked. Situation with the girl, then they made up and toured together.
I seen them when the feud was just beginning amazing times …. Small venues, bands in the pit when they weren’t playing watching others… taking back Sunday, brand new, Rufio, the movielife, the starting line, sugarcult and many More still my go to and listen to til this day.
Omg! I just clicked, and you have no idea how excited I am!!! I "discovered" TBS in my tiny town of Mayberry, NC when I was 13yo, when I downloaded their demo (Also some of my favorite versions of their songs are the demo versions but don't tell them lol), and my whole friend Group credits me for being introduced to TBS and brand new, Lol. I saw them when I went to see coheed and Cambria like 3 years ago, and TVS was so disappointing and depressing to me lol. Nothing like they used to be. But I'm definitely interested to hear your take on these guys! 👀👀👀😘
I just stopped by to bring up the time Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage nailed Adam D. in the eyebrow with his microphone while swinging it around. It was pretty epic.
I remember that from the Set This World Ablaze DVD. Literally the first song of the set. Joel's dad was there and had an extra bandaid on him and it kept falling off. Adam paid a fan $5 to lick the wound and he has hardcore kid aids to this day.
A kid from my weights class in high school that I used to hang out with tried to explain to me Brand New lyrics while I played Shenume all while the first ELO album played in the background. That memory is seared into my skull.
dudeee this is the first video i've watched by you and since i've gone back and watched your other stuff, and you are like, fucking perfect just everything is great, like, i can find someone talking about boys like girls for once
I saw brandnew at the i believe 15year anniversary of devil and god. they played the entire album which happens to be my favorite album. to give this story a little emo drama. when i was in 9th grade around 2006 or 07 i had a emo girl friend that had been into brandnew a few years before me. she had seen them live a year or two before we started dating. she always smugly told me i would never see them live because at that point they hadn't really been touring around where i live. in 2016 10years later it was so gratifying to run into her at the show. i didn't say a word to her but we definitely were aware of each other being there. it felt like such a triumphant moment. emo music is made for drama with girls and i love it. lol
Def wasn’t 15th anniversary since TDAGARIM came out in on ‘06 and brand new disbanded in 2018-ish. Likely touring around the 10 year anniversary mark. Loved watching them live and everytime they’d switch up You Won’t Know and the ending of it.
Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the feud at least somewhat continued just judging by the brand new song "tommy gun". Idk it just seems that way through the lyrics of most of the song
The real question is.. what band was actually better... thats the hard one. In my opinion Brand New was the better band with more quality albums overall. I feel like Tell All Your Friends was pretty much a perfect album, but the TBS albums go downhill after that (more pop, less raw). Brand New on the other hand made each album different and equal if not better than their predecessor. Both bands are top top tier, but I'd take Brand New over TBS in quality.
that’s an easy question. Brand New is leagues better. You could argue against TBS’ debut album being better than Brand New’s debut album, but after that there really is no competition at all. Brand New destroys TBS
@@SaintKines Correction: Brand New wrote 30 songs better than TBS.... but TBS is more fun. I love both, TBS has 24-25 great songs, Brand New has 0 bad songs... Both live in my heart, one is better at songwriting, the other better at staying a band.
@@curtiswilson3569 I'll have to go through and see if I missed any Brand New albums. The Quiet Things is the best "EMO" band song of all time in my opinion. This is possible because I don't rate Glassjaw as EMO like many others do.
On the lyrics booklets in both bands albums they would thank their “brothers in” Brand New / Taking Back Sunday. So hearing that the beef was squashed early makes a lot of sense. Also since they played together on stage lol.
Me too! But I accidently ordered a YOUTH small instead of a regular adult small! I could barely zip it up, haha! I still have a sweet jellyfish tote from the same order though :) man, 03-08 was the golden era
Man love the content. I found my old iPod the other day and charged it up and when tbs came up on shuffle I almost lost my mind because I literally haven’t thought about that stuff since 2009 or so. I still could remember every line. And brand new was my shiiit in high school, but after the allegations, I can’t fully enjoy their stuff anymore. Sometimes I just can separate the art from the artist.
"I think Jesse Lacey is just a dick. He just sucks. He's not a good person." is probably my favorite thing to come out of all of this and I quote it everytime the beef or brand new come up because it is always so funny to me how random that was but as it turned out, apparently true lol
its actually kind of refreshing that the band has fun with the fans obsession with the beef rather than feeling exasperated or like its a cloud over their heads.

Have you heard of rap music
idk i’ve always read that it was his girlfriend
I thought the bigger beef was between TBS and Straylight Run back in the day. Half the band abruptly quit in the middle of tour, started a new band, leaked some demo songs alluding to Adam. And “Where You Want to Be” was the response album from TBS. So much emo drama 😂
This is what's delish.
Adam actually dated Michelle Nolan (now Michelle DaRosa) and cheated on her, which is why John left TBS and started Straylight Run
So cool of you to go ahead and make this. Enjoyed it and it's good to finally kinda know the truth about it
yes finally!!! i've been waiting for you to make a video on this!!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Honestly ever since I found your channel 2 years ago I new this day would come.
I love your videos, they really bring me back.
I will never forget how I discovered Taking Back Sunday back in 2003
When I was 12 my mom took me to go see one of my favorite bands at the time
Blink 182 and I will never forget the feeling when this pretty unknown band opened the show for Blink
It was Taking Back Sunday, it completely blew me away and I went and got the first two albums as soon as I could.
Thank you for keeping this story going. It was crazy to see this unfold in real time, back then.
@TheSleepyJoehe didn’t do shit. He was a rock star and probably slept with a bunch of women. Big whoop
@TheSleepyJoe no
@TheSleepyJoecan you not read "he even confirmed it himself" or do you just want a free pass to hate women
(Which he had been open about for many many years prior to the allegations)
The Brand New shows I attended they asked for food and supplies for women’s shelters.
Wild that this tiny feud was so overblown. This is so tame compared to what Ronnie Radke and Craig Mabbitt were saying.
Good job man! I’m from LI, grew up in the scene and liked both band’s, never took sides after learning they had “beef”. I respect them both more after learning it was strategically planned, playing right into the hands of fans lol
I am a HUGE taking back Sunday fan but seventy times seven was also one of my most favorite songs ever. I always wondered who those lyrics were about
omg was wishing for this when i got a bit into tbs earlier this year. also wait watchtower database x cozy?? i wouldve never expected this goddamn
Oh man, my favorite feud. Back in the day I gossiped about this crap like I was a part of it. 😄
Brand New is amazing Tbs are cool too but Deja and TDAG are so timeless.
So are Tell All Your Friends and Where You Want To Be
@@sschofield115 True, but after those albums, TBS kinda went pop, whereas Brand New kept making fully epic albums.
and Daisy. and Science Fiction.
I'm with you. BN music as a whole is so much better than TBS. I was really into TBS too but wouldn't say I love any album all thw way through. I moreso had a couple of songs I loved on albums with a handful I liked and another handful I always skipped.
@@sschofield115 they got boring and coke ruined adam
Awesome Beach Boys shirt! Any chance of a video discussing Brian Wilson's influence on Emo?
Would you ever cover Brand New on this channel? I KNOW it's a bit of a sore subject for some, and rightfully so, but there's no denying their impact on the music world.
Can you explain why?! I must have missed something….
@@Ama40401 TCR actually goes into it into this video, basically some chick's accused him of sexually exploiting his minor fans back in the day. Think what you want of jesse, but brand new and Vincent and the other guys still deserve respect in the emo genre. They were the emo genre
Cozy has said before that he doesn’t like Brand New and that he thinks they’re kinda pretentious.
So I highly doubt he will.
@@aironnocturnal5365 Very disengenuous take as they're one of the most talented bands in the emo genre. Incredibly influential on the genre's "revival" and pretty much all the bands in the emo genre suck them off pretty hard.
@@failingnovelist6443 Brand New are my favourite band, I'm saying what Cozy has said about them before.. chill out dude
About freaking time someone made this!!!!
Didn't expect Rufio to be featured in this video but they have one of the coolest debuts in pop punk ever, not to mention their song "She Cries" was miscredited as being a Simple Plan song in P2P apps back in day, I wonder if anyone else found about them that way too
I met someone who went to hs with the actor who played rufio. Apparently people would chant that at times and he was always a good sport.
Dude rufios first album was so fucking good. Gonna go listen again lol
BUT to me the most interesting was that TBS used a Brand New song to inspire some of the lyrics on "There's No 'I' In Team"; can't believe I am just now learning this
yessss I’ve waited so long thank you !!!!!
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR U TO DO A VID ON THIS
the real ones have been praying for this one 🙏
The hip hop thing goes deeper when you think about it. All the references to guns and bullets across both of their first albums.
And FLAVOR FLAAAAAAV
i felt the same way when Adam made that comment in 2015, when that stuff came out in 2017 i instantly thought of those comments. i think he might have known something but didnt want to be the guy to call it out.
“The ballad of Sal Villaneuva” goes so hard. One of my favorites
This was huge for me as a Brand New fan and a Taking Back Sunday fan lol good times man
i really needed this context. thank you cozy 🎉
I do wonder if Adam’s 2015 comments were just a way to drum up hype for both the new albums coming out from TBS and Brand New in the near future.
Let’s be honest, most people had lost interest in TBS by 2015 and so just seems like an attempt to make a quick headline.
This channel was made for this specific video
Science Fiction peaked at #1 on the Top 100 Billboard charts.
As it should
You glossed over the Kitchen being a local hangout spot in Long Island where the two bands hung out and the supposed "stolen lines" that John and Jesse wrote there.
What town was that in?
I just saw Taking Back Sunday at sad summer and I had to tell my friend this story … And now I’m here. Thank you for this ❤
This is like the second or third video I've seen from you and you're pretty funny dude, I usually don't like funny dudes but you're cool.
Crazy catching up on all these emo bands in 2020's and seeing how many of them have child fucking accusations
OMG THANK YOU! been waiting on this! Brand new is still my favorite band ever
Whaaaat!? 2 of my favorite bands and I didn't know this. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you The Lorax, very cool.
For two Long Island bands this is the tamest beef that could go on from a garbage dump of a place
Jesse influenced me to write, I’m a serious poet and write music for a living…
I get it, people do shit and in the past, I did myself would lie about my age just to hang out with guys and have fun
But…. Appreciate the video. Had both bands albums, cuz my band buddies listened you know how it is. One listens we all listen.
Brand New just did it for me and saved my life when my parents divorced, when my parents moved away, when my parents died…
Brand New was there for me.. gosh hate that they aren’t together
I would play Taking Back Sunday, on my acoustic at parties to get guys to look at me. It worked haha but yes, this is hometown local band drama shit haha
Know all about it…
But thank you 🙏 came across your channel cuz I was missing Brand New and was just surfing and happy I found you
Thanks ❤
🎉
Thank you for uploading this. I really miss Brand New ;-;
I wish I could've seen them live again one last time.
Thanks for the video. How about the feud between Adam and John Nolan?!
Tytyty been waiting for this
I actually hosted a show with John and Shawn’s band Straylight Run in 2008 (two years before they reunited with TBS).
Small venues, bands in the pit when they weren’t playing watching others… taking back Sunday, brand new, Rufio, the movielife, the starting line, sugarcult and many
More still my go to and listen to til this day.
Good video only thing that should be added is John nolan of TBS wrote 2 songs on Your Favorite Weapon because the beef was so over.
With regards to the TBS S/T EP, Jesse Lacey is also on backing vocals on the track Go On - odd that that isn’t credited
YESSSS. So good. Thanks for the reminder. Gonna Google a clip, lol.
Still want to find that Swinging TBS shirt, I have the blue one with the bloody mic but this would just complete my collection
...it all started with the rise and fall of jonny craig... and now i'm addicted to the cozy representative...
A kid from my weights class in high school that I used to hang out with tried to explain to me Brand New lyrics while I played Shenume all while the first ELO album played in the background. That memory is seared into my skull.
It's 5am on a tuesday and i'm watching an elder millennial explain emo lore from 20 years ago. We really got it made now days
13:21 Jesse isn’t backing “Go On” on the EP?? Wild. Always thought that was him…
dudeee this is the first video i've watched by you and since i've gone back and watched your other stuff, and you are like, fucking perfect
just everything is great, like, i can find someone talking about boys like girls for once
As someone from Long Island it’s so funny that this all started there and is Long Island beef
10:55 holy where did you find that photo? That's the only photo I've seen with the very first lineup of TBS
Brand New wrote at least 2 songs that are better than anything TBS ever wrote but TBS has more songs that I like. That's how it stands for me.
How did I not know about this? 😅 Thank you!! This is bringing me back.
So thankful for this video🤙🏼❤️
On the lyrics booklets in both bands albums they would thank their “brothers in” Brand New / Taking Back Sunday. So hearing that the beef was squashed early makes a lot of sense. Also since they played together on stage lol.
Oh the nostalgia of this lore! I remember how much of a buzz this was.
Dude I had that hoodie that said mics are for singing not swinging hahah
Me too! But I accidently ordered a YOUTH small instead of a regular adult small! I could barely zip it up, haha! I still have a sweet jellyfish tote from the same order though :) man, 03-08 was the golden era
My 32 year old jaw just DROPPED.
It's worth mentioning that "Shower Scene" alludes to the drama as well (supposedly where the incident happened). Lots of jabs about "best friends".
This is exactly how you would joke with a reporter about your buddy, though 😂
yea but he was also a genius
This upload saved my night, ty
I am SO obsessed with how tiny and petty it was. It created AMAZING records that lyrics were exceptional away messages on aim!
its actually kind of refreshing that the band has fun with the fans obsession with the beef rather than feeling exasperated or like its a cloud over their heads.
