gosh, don't you hate the way the announcer comes in during the credits (during a rebroadcast of this show on tv many years / decades later ) - that defo didn't happen back in '71, it's a 'modern' thing. takes away from the magic of the show. i had to pause it when your wuns voice kicked in. dave allen is the best. loved him back in the 70's, wonderful to see all these again. thanks so much for uploading!

My parents didn't watch it because they just couldn't understand it even though it was subtitled. I'm glad I rose above my upbringing and (even after all these years) love to watch him. His sense of humour is still timeless. A great storyteller, a great comedian. And looking good as well. Those sparkles in his eyes, he just could get away with almost anyting. And he did! 😎
Dunno why here in Australia we swapped over to that plastic American crap such as Seinfeld. (Hogan's Hero's and MASH excluded), instead of staying with anything outa the BBC. Show's such as Dave, Benny Hill, The Goodies, Ain't Half Hot Mum, The Two Ronnie's, heck, I could go on. But all those early 90's American so called "comedies" just dumbed the genre down. Friends, Seinfeld, later on, absolutely not funny shows such as The Big Bang Theory. All of those were just comedies for the very simple minded. IMO, British comedy was much more sophisticated.
