    I love how your ideas are so obvious to me, it feels like “exactly!” every time i watch your videos. And yet, those concepts are not so obvious to people in my country who lack a lot of emotional intelligence. I’ve decided to work on my own bcz of that

    I just got a job as a PPC Analyst at my company, have zero Digital Marketing experience to date but have some limited background in web dev. I was discussing the company's "graveyard online feeds" with a colleague last night & insisted there must be a (relatively) low maintenance way to populate multiple feeds by rotating similar - but not identical, content. Needless to say this video is getting watched in detail later & will be forwarded to his inbox 😂 Thanks!

    6:41 I'm so glad you've addressed this point because I think most people need to hear this. Most of the time 80% of those other channels won't even deliver the end goal of attracting clients in not managed well. Strategy suggestions like these should come with a warning label 🏷 only do this IF... and specify the type and phase of business this would make sense to experiment with.

    Tim, great message today (as always 😊). As a content marketing company, your model helps add further clarity. We do this almost the same, and after watching, will tweak our approach a bit, as we are not leveraging the primary or pillar content as much as we should, our could. We tend to do the blog, then create the long form videos, and then repurpose those across platforms, as snippets. Adding the blog portion maybe a significant action we add, thanks so much. 🎉

  • @RebekkaHay

    It really shouldn’t be this much work. Who has time to take care of their business when you’re in a full time job creating “content” all the time. Having to feed all these platforms is insane. How is a solopreneur supposed to manage this workload, on top of the actual business, and taxes, and customer service and shipping…?

    • @ExposureNinja
      @ExposureNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Hey Rebekka, absolutely with you there. The workload for a solopreneur who is also in charge of the entire content production for the business is crazy. Inevitably (and correctly) this means compromises have to be made, which usually means choosing one relatively low-maintenance channel to prioritise at the expense of the others. And that is totally okay: Jeff built Amazon just fine without posting 10 TikToks a day, after all ;-)
      The model we've outlined here is for businesses that have committed to posting across all channels, and want a way to do this as efficiently as possible with the most leverage they can get

      Seriously. It’s absolutely ridiculous the amount of hoops we all have to go through just to appease the algorithms just to stay afloat. It’s insane and I can’t stand it. Alas, adapt or die and we all must stay subservient to the algorithm gods. Needless to say, I hate every part of it.

      My guess would be an addition to step one. After finding who your audience is, find out where or the platform where your audience is most engaged on. These would be my hypothetical strategies if I even had a business to begin with

    Great video! I have been trying to do something similar but we often start with the video. I can see the benefit of starting with the blog post! BTW, do you have any recommendations for storing all the related written content for the various channels. Does software exist that lets you save everything related to one topic: blog post (with the SEO keywords & meta), TH-cam title & description, socials posts, images, web page blurbs, relevant links, etc. And provide the ability collaborate with your team. I use a combination of Google Docs, Sheets and OneNote but this is not ideal.

    I think there is a time and a place for blog based marketing. Lots of b2b sales happen because of logital reasons.
    ie. how do you implement headless CMS on your store. like very specific topics.
    Decision makers may google it while at work. they want to see you have the technical knowhow to do it for them first.
    a blog post with a video embedded would be the best option.
    so i would say, video and written blog ocntent can work really well in the b2b space.

    Amazing content as usual. Creating a service based site. Would you create individual pages for each location? Or could it be seen as copies and go against us?

    • @ExposureNinja
      @ExposureNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could definitely create individual pages for each location, yes, although it's not usually necessary to create versions of every service page for every location.
      And any location pages will only be seen as copies if they're not unique, but it's relatively easy to make location pages unique by including info about the local area, localised testimonials etc

    Content marketing is a powerful strategy that businesses can leverage to engage and connect with their target audience. By creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and informative content, companies can establish themselves as thought leaders in their industry and build trust with their customers. Content marketing helps attract and retain customers by providing them with valuable insights, addressing their pain points, and offering solutions to their problems. It is a way to educate, entertain, and inspire your audience while subtly promoting your products or services. By consistently delivering high-quality content across various channels, such as blog posts, videos, podcasts, and social media, businesses can increase brand awareness, drive traffic to their websites, and ultimately, generate more leads and conversions. Remember, in today's digital age, creating compelling content is key to standing out from the competition and building long-lasting relationships with your customers.

    Very nice .. but I'm pretty sure doing research once and use it in multiple channels is not a new 2023 thing ... I used to focus the initial research in the blog post .. and reused it for other channels, however, at the time, video and audio were not as important as today, which can still use the same research ... but still a lot more work ahead

    How can you make sure than when you repurpose and reformat content for every channel it is indeed done correctly?

    • @ExposureNinja
      @ExposureNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      GREAT question.
      There are two answers, depending on the time and resources available:
      1. If you have the time and resource:
      We recommend making sure that you use (as a consumer) the channels that are being posted to, so you know whether something is likely to feel 'native' or not.
      For example: brands posting short-form video on social media (e.g. tiktok, reels, YT shorts). If they're cutting from a long-form video, this can sometimes feel too polished. Or they'll be too tempted to make their content product-focussed. Either way, this risks triggering the 'ad' response in the viewer (compare Vax and Dyson on TikTok for an example). Feeling 'native' to the viewer is easier if you *are* native to the platform, and that means spending time on it as a consumer.
      Your engagement rates will tell you whether you're landing properly. These vary by channel of course.
      2. If you're already stretched for time and have minimal resource for repurposing
      This is about accepting that there will be compromise, and that you'll still get *some* traction platforms even if you're showing up 'less than perfect'. Better to be at the party looking slightly out of place than to not be there at all. Here, we'd go back to the point about prioritising the most important channels for you and making sure you're putting the most time into the channels where your customers are spending the most time in 'commercial intent' mode

    Hmmm, smart marketing seeking to sell what you have. But do customers really need it? Do we need more plastics, more stuff from Amazon shipped around the world, more forests cut to read marketing magazines? Marketing that does not consider the future of the planet, and only tries to help with sales, is part of the problem. How will you take this into account?

    • @ExposureNinja
      @ExposureNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a great point. We believe it's up to every marketer to set their own boundaries and principles for what they will and won't promote. In fact, this gives me an idea for something to cover in our next podcast episode! Thank you

      @@ExposureNinja You are welcome and thank you for a considerate reply. Little addition: billionaires spend millions on marketing to keep things in their advantage, while activists criticizing this hardly have a fraction of that money.
