72 yrs old and still missing my mother. She died in 2005.

My wife and I lost her mom last night. Nearly 97 years of kindness and courage passed forever into glory.

My mom died in 2005. Listening to this song brings tears to my eyes. She was the most gentlest of souls and she loved her children. She would do anything for us. I'm a 74 year old man and not afraid to shed tears. RIP Mom.
We are all our mothers' children. No matter how old we get, we are still and will always miss them.

Have listened to this song for years. I used it with my class of drug addicts. Just recently I read Dante's Divine Comedy. So profound. There is always hope. For me, this song embodies hope no matter how dark or difficult the journey has become .

(Proverb 29:18) This applies to people who use their God-given talents to show off and be admired as Christians, not doing so motivated by Jesus love, and against which Jesus mercifully provided for us a dire warning even to those who will say "Lord, Lord" and who did good works in His name (Matthew 7:21-23), their ulterior motivation to impress people will earn them the fire below: So warning people of the fire below and how to avoid it is an act of charity, not condemnation, and love is not a condemnation of anyone, nor to be intimidated by secular, Biblically illiterate people whose abusive use of the singularly most misquoted "Judge not lest you be judged" has intimidated into silence millions of Biblically illiterate, pseudo-Christians who don't know that Jesus NEVER SAID NOR MEANT "turn a blind eye to someone whose behavior and/or false beliefs and evident evil motivation and behavior is a symptom of their need to be warned not only that they are in danger of the fire below, but that they will be missing out on the bliss of heaven with God "above".". Such a love-motivated warning is not "judging" as secular people interpret and misuse the aforesaid verse: Jesus DID say "Be wise as serpents, but harmless as doves", i.e, Be aware of the evil in our own and other's lives, but do not use that awareness as a means nor with the motive of condemning anyone: Hate the sin, but love the sinner. Such Vision-less "Christians" need to daily study the Word and live by it, including Loreena McKennitt, who is "loved" by everyone, but who is leaving unanswered the question of whether her pagan cultural Celtic songs are a bridge upon and over which to draw Christians into the paganism of loving and virtually worshiping creature-satisfying music? Or is she employing Christian music as an evangelistic, culturally appealing bridge by and over which to draw the eternal souls of pagans to belief in and to salvation from the fire below due to their past choices launching them into that direction? Jesus said two other very relevant things pertaining to that issue about which, or of which, no one seems to be aware, or care, let alone obey: "Woe to you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets". Luke 6:26; and "He who believes (in Me) will be saved: Who does not believe will -"(have only the fire below to which to look "forward") Mark 16:16, clariphrased. // If Loreena loves her fans with the sacrificial love of Christ, she needs to make this very clear to them, both in her interviews and in the lyrics of her songs. ("Of those who are given much, much is required." Luke 12:48 Actually that verse first relates to spiritual insights and wisdom, then talents, and then to material assets.) So whosoever you are who, by your malicious hatred for me, wrongly judge and condemn me for making known what is true and of eternal benefit for everyone: It is you who are the malicious haters of what is right and moral, and by such malicious hatred you show yourselves to be in danger of the fire below by fraudulently calling true Christians who oppose evil "haters", in which case you know you are being morality-fakers in terms of accusing as "haters" those who speak Truth: You direly need to make your choice to believe in Jesus and to daily study and live by His words of eternal life... otherwise you have nothing worthwhile to say or offer to anyone.
