Thank you for another great video. Instead of the tuna, I would get sour cream and make my egg noodle casserole. I would also switch out the tomato for cheese. I use 3 eggs and beat them in a bowl. I wisk in 16 ounce sour cream. I add about 1cup of diced ham. I also add diced onion and minced garlic and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. I stir it all together. Separately, I boil about 3/4 of the bag of egg noodles and I make sure they are undercooked. I drain the eggs noodles and rinse them. I grease a casserole dish and Add the egg noodles. I fold on the sour cream mixture to coat the egg noodles. I top the casserole with shredded cheese and parsley if I have it. I bake it at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes so the top is crispy. That last me for days I would also use one of the chicken quarters to make a big pot of chicken noodle soup with the remaining egg noodles and carrots.
Great haul for under $20. You could take the chicken skin and the bones and boil for broth to make a soup. Nice looking meals. Thanks so much for sharing.
The guacamole and baby carrots are what I buy to contribute to my "mama sanity." And I'd use the skin and bones fron the chicken to make some broth to boil the noodles in.
I watch a lot of low-budget weekly meals posts, and this is the first one I've seen that included ham, great idea! One thing I wish YT channels would do more of is not be afraid to fully utilize condiments, seasonings, etc. that 90% of women/families always have on hand, i.e. mayo, mustard, butter, oils, bouillion, and herbs/spices, sugar, flour, etc. Especially since those items last us over a month or longer, to me, it makes the meals sadder than they need to be when YTers don't use that stuff, or include purchasing those items on the tiny weekly budget.
I love the sandwiches and the chicken with a side of pasta. Everything looks delicious and absolutely not boring! your challenges are the best on youtube in my opinion. Also a good balance of nutrients, good job! I have a request: how about including a few snacks? maybe making it a 25$? just an idea... thanks!
This is one of your best hauls for a diversified low budget grocery haul with menus.
Thank you ❤
Good job!! Thanks for more great ideas. Blessings!!
