I went in 2016 so I can’t speak for today’s basic training, but in their defense. I can promise you they are only this “calm” because the CAMERAS are on.
Focus on your pt, police your battle buddies, if they’re f’d up you’re f’d up, show up at the right time in the right uniform, can’t get in trouble for showing up early so do that if you can, and have fun bro
@ no they got rid of it. They’re changing osut back to 16 weeks. I’m stuck in the 22 week osut. So my company got 6 weeks worth of training taken out but we still have to be here for 22 weeks
Do you think I have a chance in joining,I’m 17 about to be 18,but I broke my back and femur on August 9th 2023,but I can still walk and and lift stuff and I feel confident, and this is my dream job but idk if I’ll even have chance everyone says different, one person say that I won’t have a chance and next says I will,I just want a straight awnser 😭??
1. The cameras are rolling 2. Everyone who's ever served in the infantry, knows that the REAL training begins when you get to your PDS. But, I do think it's cute that you think that getting yelled at will even remotely close to mimic real combat. 😀
@@elevenb6967 getting yelled at is more about building a tolerance for stress. If they can't handle getting yelled at. Then they definitely can't handle getting shot at. There is a reason Marines perform better under stress than their Army counterparts. It's not by a ton, but it's by a noticeable difference. Plus you hear a whole lot better when somebody is screaming instead of whispering to you. It's a tried and true method, but I guess we need another hard reset for us to go back to the basics again.
@@baronc252 Oh brother. -___- Where's the evidence that marine infantry performs better under stress than army infantry? "Plus you hear a whole lot better when somebody is screaming instead of whispering to you." That's brilliant, man. I never knew that. Nobody said that soldiers couldn't "handle" getting yelled at. (Ask me how I know this) Again, if you really believe that drills screaming at you in any way whatsoever, makes you better prepared for combat, then I cannot help you.
@@baronc252 Bruh stop talking out of your ass, the Marines do not out perform the Army 😂😂😂... This is just basic training, when they actually start their infantry training things will be a lot different
Nah the way they changed and made BCT a lot softer is trash. When the new privates show up to their units now they can’t handle any stress and want to quit or get kicked out. majority of the NCOS still in the infantry have been there for awhile and joined when BCT was actually tough So when the new kids show up and they see actual toughness in the infantry they can’t or won’t do it. Most of them have no mental strength.
Thanks!

I was in the MC, but it's cool to see a video on the Army's training.
AMEN TO THE BEST IN THE WORLD 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Love the army... Great new training, honestly the tug of war along side my D.S. would have been awesome...
This video further makes me want to be a marine
"Further makes me"?
Yeah, dog....You'll fit right in. LOL
trick is, you not gonna be doing ur job as a Marine. Just go be a ranger
@@senpain7186army ranger and marines are not the same

In AGSU Class B’s you can only wear 6 ribbons.
I'm convinced basic training is just a summer camp but more fun 🤣

Whatever company they are filming had it easy they must not be from sand hill🚮. A co. 1-19th💪🦅
Pretty sure these guys are mechanized which makes sense, those guys have it easy, they’re not real infantry
I ship Feb 19 11b. Any tips?

Just have fun and listen. That's all.
March 31st 11x! Let’s go!
Out hustle everyone else and you may get noticed for squad leader. It used to work that way but not sure now. I graduated sand hill Dec '82
