Omg!! Your lifestyle reminds me of my childhood here in Canada! My grandparents immigrated here from the Ukraine long ago and kept all the traditions and customs from the motherland! Your family meals and get together’s make me feel so nostalgic! Nobody spoke English everyone spoke Ukrainian!
@@3joewj First off America is not a country. It is two continents. North America and South America. But for the sake of this answer lets call both continents the Americas. I don't mean to insult anyone by using this term and I am deeply sorry if I do so. To native Americans and other indigenous races yes the americas is their motherland. It is the ancient set of countries and tribe lands that their ancestors are from. To the rest of Americans....no it isn't. For the latter those peoples motherlands will be found mostly but not exclusively in the continents of Europe, Africa and Asia. For the uninitiated, a motherland is a land or country that your ancestors came from. Primarily those ancestors on the maternal side. Similarly fraternal ancestors come from the fatherland.
@Pavlo from Ukraine I’m so worried about you and your family! I’m hoping that you or your parents were able to make it to this Summer house that you showed here. I thought maybe it would be much safer here, definitely safer than where your parents are maybe. I’m praying for you all, and praying for an update soon, that you’re all ok.God Bless!!🙏🏼
Thank You, Pavlo. I loved this so much. Thank you for sharing your family, & your Babushka’s lovely home. Grandparents homes always hold a very special place in our hearts. The fruit turnovers & coffee looked so delicious. I love learning about your beautiful country. You are sharing places & people that most of us will never get to experience. It’s so wonderful. Thank You. Blessings from the USA 🇺🇸❤️
Thank you for your interesting videos. The house is lovely with the bright blue trim - so pretty! I really enjoy videos of life in Russia, Ukraine, etc. It's great to learn about the lives of people on the other side of the world. From Calgary, Alberta, Canada - one hour from the Rocky Mountains!
Thanks Pavlo for sharing the place where your grandpa and grandma lived for many years. The house, a home sweet home and the only family heirloom they possessed and preserved for generations. A wonderful tour made me think of our old house in the Philippines.
@@pavlofromukraine You are asking me about the old house in Ukraine? Yes, it was about the same look in my country, very old but full of good memories. It’s hard to forget a house where you grew up, a place called “home sweet home”. I can understand you very well speaking English and don’t shy yourself. You are a good speaker and keep going forward. We love ❤️💜💕 you and my family watch your videos also. Stay safe😷😷
Interesting to know how the houses are there in Ukraine. I'm a professor of architecture and it's always great for me to get to know new places and how construction is done. A hug from Brazil.
That food your Dad was eating looked so good! And you know Its A LOT of work to grow and preserve these fruits and veg, Your momma must work really hard. I love your videos. I subscribed!!
Bless you and your family just ran across your channel your grandparents home so beautiful and homey old country charm! ❤ hoping you are all safe Ukraine STRONG! Sending love and hugs!
Fun to see I am not the only one storing food for winter. I loved that peak of all the squash....I have had little success growing butternut types, my growing season is just not long enough. My new favorite is Hubbard....they grow very large, have a very sweet flavor, and the seeds are good roasted. Thank you for sharing. It is heartening to see that, we are all just people, struggling to put food on the table, a roof over our heads, and heat in the winter. Keep up the good work. It would be interesting to see more food storage, cooking with your mom, and tour the garden.
It reminds me of my grandparents house. My great-grandparents immigrated to the US from Germany. Lots of similarities; the way things are stored, multi use rooms, cozy!
We tend to forget how spoiled we are in the US. I press one button and my home is any exact temperature I want, whether heat or air conditioning throughout. Those fruit pastries look delicious. From what's stored in the home, it looks like Mom can really cook well.
Pablo, what I noticed watching your videos is the home spirit that the houses have. When you walk in, it feels like a big comfy couch! Greetings to you and Luba from Bastrop Texas USA.
Oh my, what a pretty kitchen. I love the colors. My mother's mother and father were from Yugoslavia...today that would be Croatia. I spent time in Croatia with my grandmother (Baka). Your grandmother's home reminds me very much of relatives homes in Croatia. Very cozy and sweet. I love your videos. They are so warm and nice! Thank you. :))
Pavlo, thank you so much for your lovely videos. I am amazed how great and lovely your babushkas house looks like new even though it has been over 60 years. My babushka used to live in a similar constructed house and I slept on top of the stove in the winter months when I had to live there and go to the village school. Bring up a lot of great happy childhood memories. You English is really good! Mg village was 56 km from Kiev. I have lived 23 years in America in NJ a bit south from where some of Lubas ancestors are from. Sending you a big Hello from across the ocean! And keep up doing your videos!
Nice house, I've seen those centrally located fireplace/chimney with outlets to many rooms in other videos of the region, great idea to warm up each room equally. Cheers from Quebec Canada.
Love the cozy home and noticed all the bright colors and floral accented items. It reminds me of my ancestors Polish village of Zalipie where the residents even paint flowers on the outside of their homes, buildings and certain walkways.
For just a dacha (summer/weekend cottage), that's a big place. Some of other the dachas that I've seen were basically only one big room, for everyone, and everything, one stove, no running water, no plumbing. It looks big enough that you could remodel & update to a really nice year-round dacha for a whole family.
This home was built for comfort and convenience and not just for show. The chimney and fire places in the center of the house are more efficient than homes in Canada with a chimney on the exterior wall of a house. Also the small rooms would be a blessing in winter months and easier to heat . Everything looks practical and homey.👍👍👍❤
Love the lifestyle. So satisfying. The amount of food on the table is amazing. All kinds of good stuff. So much to be thankful for. The house looks very comfortable. Very different from American places.
You have more there then i did growing up as our toilet was a pan outside and shower inside worked maybe 3 times a week so had to be fast Love the house Pavlo and very thankful you shared
You know this reminds me of when I lived in Mexico before coming to USA in 1957 and was happier living simple, I dream of a simple life all the time, the food now don't taste like before, I dream of my grandma's real chicken soup.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home. It looks so comfortable, nice and warm. I am in San Francisco. Are you and your family ok? Where are you now? I hope you and everyone else are safe.
Lots of tastes with the food on the table. It is a home made to be there for the people who live and enjoy it. So what temperature does it go to in winter. 0° C or colder ? I have no idea as never been around that part of the world. Cheers thank you mum and Dad for letting us in to Thier home.👍👍🥂
Hi, Bob:) Last winter the temperature was even -20 sometimes and we had tons of snow. The average winter temperature is -5..10 degrees. It's cold here:)
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I really enjoyed watching it. And I hope that you and your family are okay. Please update us when you can that you are all safe and well.
Gas station. In the US "stove." would cover it. To be more specific "stove" for the oven, and "stove with range" to cover the whole thing. Most people would know that simply stove would cover it. "Range" or "range top" for the burners (or heating elements if it was electric) would cover the top heating surfaces. Meanwhile: You are awesome and I greatly enjoy your videos.
Yes, very interesting to see village life in Ukraine! Spacious garden, good retreat house from the city, how far is the closest city to your village? Thank you!
What city is this? My wife is from Zhytomir and I visit frequently. One of my friends in Ukraine takes me to his family and a small village sometimes and I enjoy it very much this brings back memories watching this video
