Supported... Please what is your canning technique with the jars. Do you boil before preserving and how long do they last for. I tried canning vegetables in a jar and it spoiled after 2 weeks.

Wow, what a garden. No wonder Ukraine is such a bread basket. Last time I saw a cellar like that, was on my great grandmothers farm in Ohio, in the mid 60's. Take care and stay safe.
I agree the peaches and blackberrys look delicious. It’s because of those bees. These last 2 years no raspberries are growing wild and few bees are around
You are right - they are free people already, and they have a way better life today than a high portion of the so called 'liberators' (mainly from the west) have, coming to liberate them 'and bring ('more') freedom'.
We in our village in the west have almost no insects and bees anymore this summer, maybe due to intensive farming around, and nobody seems to be interested are taking notice (because they don't care at present anymore more than to daily politics and news.)
Nobody needs empires and imperialism - and the way so many US people (seem to be forced to) live today (when compared to their grandparents) is a way of life to avoid. Working extra shifts to own an apple product (more) means no good life - this here is.
The cellar looked pretty empty. I guess most vegis are sold immediately after harvest. But there is only one board at the wall and a little bit on the floor. My grandparents had this much from 2 cherry and a plum tree alone.

You just succeeded in making me feel homesick. My grandparents were from Volhynia region near Lysk and Rivne. Hope I spelled those names correctly. I grew up with them next door on 5 hectares of land in SW Michigan, USA. Everything you did in this video we did every summer of my childhood and teen years. I could move into the house next door to you and if I didn’t speak, you would think I grew up in Ukraine. We had enough fruit vegetables and chickens, cow, a pig. Yes blackberries, pears, rhubarb, strawberries, potatoes, and so on. Root cellars, too. Thank you for bringing back these beautiful memories. I am 76 this month and all of that is long ago and far away. Stay safe and Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇸🇺🇦

Makes me remember my mother's gardens and endless canning. We use to go to the Montana mountains and country side to pick berries and such. Those were canned also. Just an add on. With a viscous war going on in your country I do find these videos special.

I lived on an island when I was younger, I had 4 acres of gardens, and canned and froze everything, it was a simple life, and I miss it, a lot of time spent with my children in the gardens, teaching them. They both grew up to be great workers. I admire your gardens, and your life style.

Awesome videos guys thanks for sharing. One of the things that makes Ukraine so strong is that it's people havent forgot the old ways. Growing a garden is an easy way any citizen can make their nation more resilient. We used to call them victory gardens during WW2 in the states. My garden is doing well, plenty of carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and onions. My squash isnt producing as well this year but it's all good I'm thankful for what I've got. Take care!

There is a variety that grows here in Wisconsin (we are cold like you) called "Arctic Peach"- was a variety developed in Minnesota. Michigan also produces peaches. Would be curious to know what variety you are growing? Your garden looks great!

I am descended from Appalachians, and they do a lot of canning too. So do the Amish, who live in my area.
Twist those big plants to the left 3 times and the roots snap. It works. I really liked the video and very nice peaches. Beaches... Peaches, who cares lets go and eat! And that root cellar is awesome. Americans for the most part do not do this anymore.

Hello Pavlo and Luba. Fantastic Vlog again. I remember my mother doing preserves all the time when I was little. I do miss the preserves and compotes (Compote or compôte is a dessert originating from medieval Europe, made of whole or pieces of fruit in sugar syrup.
