I currently have Wyze Cameras and i honestly hate them. It takes so long for them to show up. Plus they dont have a native home assistant integration. So i am looking for something new
As I said, Unifi protect cameras are my favorite - if you are looking from a camera only perspective, its a good solid affordable system with many options and price points, native apps are great, fast and can be accessed anywhere - integration to Home Assistant is easy, which also allows them to be used with Apple Homekit, no monthly fees. But looking at the unifi system over all including wireless and network makes it a no brainer for me - its got everything you need, polished and no extra licenses are needed. If you want a simple home setup you can get the dream hub geni.us/my2XOuS or go with the rack mount dream machine, most versatile and affordable are the wireless ones geni.us/rOA307M, and my favorite all around PoE option is this one geni.us/rivftOo. I have used a number of systems in the past (check my old videos) but so far I have not seen anything that rivals ubiqiti - long answer to a short comment! 🤣 - thanks for watching and hope this helps!
Thanks - glad you liked! I am using the google pixel tablet now - geni.us/iTCDT - in the past it was a google nest - but this is much much better and more reliable. - thanks for watching!
Do you mind disclosing what insurance company or what the information related to this is? I spoke to my agent a couple years ago and they refused and said it must be a paid-for service. I would love to send this to my agent!
Sure, I’m in Canada and using TD insurance, but I was with Aviva before and same answer - as long as it notifies me remotely on my phone it’s considered remote monitoring - can’t say it would be every insurance company - but I asked and they answered! And those calls are all recorded right 😂 good luck and thanks for watching
@@yoyoTechKnows do you mind to let us know what broker you use!? They seem to have a modernized policy.. I've spent all morning on calls with both Aviva and my Broker and what Aviva has said to me, your broker must have a better underwriting.. My original reply: Thank you!! I'm with Aviva! My Broker replied yesterday and said " In regards to the alarm discount, the service needs to be monitored 24/7 by an alarm company for fire/burglar that is a paid service for the discount to apply. " I will be calling them and speaking to someone else today and won't stop now until I get it or move companies! Thanks again!!!
I would say yes, might have to to use a voip number/service. But its very easy to just send SMS messages (and other options for notifications). What would you want home assistant to do after it dialed the number?
Sorry if the background music was too much - always a challenge as you listen so much when editing it feels right - but then you watch days later and you realize it's a little loud! - thanks for the feedback - will work on it for the next one !
Thank you for your reply. I don't suppose there's a chance you could re-issue this one without the background noise, just your spoken words? The content looks very good. Seems a shame to waste it.
📷🔐🏚️ Security sensors , cameras and automations can help build the ultimate smart home security system we can be built as you go along!

check out reloink cctv
Hi. More great content. Suggest you try different or much softer background music. It was very distracting.
Thanks for watching - and for the feedback, I appreciate it!
I second that
Great video. What tablet are you using on your night stand to monitor camera feeds?
Thanks - glad you liked! I am using the google pixel tablet now - geni.us/iTCDT - in the past it was a google nest - but this is much much better and more reliable. - thanks for watching!
Are you familiar on how to add an alarm siren to unifi system when you open a door. I have rhe ability to run Ethernet to the siren. Thx great video.
Lots of options here - if you are connecting to something like HA, you can even use a zwave or zigbee siren- amzn.to/4c5LRd6 - thanks for watching!

Is it possible to have home assistant call a number if a alarm was triggered?

background music is killing me,
Sorry - didn't realize it was that bad when I worked on it - promise I will make sure the next one is better! - thanks for watching!
It looks like there was a lot of good content here. But unfortunately, for me, the background music made it pretty near unwatchable.

Really wanted to listen to this podcast, but the absolutely awful background noise makes that impossible. What possible value does that add?
Sorry didn't realize how intrusive it was till it was too late - will get it better on the next one - but thanks for watching!
