    Video idea - there are lots of videos on HA but nothing end to end for a typical setup. Eg 4 bed house, lights, blinds, fans, heating, solar, av, cameras, security, with home assistant. Ie how does someone go from not having used home assistant to a full setup with all of the common things most people would want. It would be a cool videos series.

      Especially with all the latest updates to HA

      Thanks for the feedback! I am actually trying to work on something like that - Helping automate a home that has no real setup, chronicle the process. Hope to have something soon! - thanks for the suggestion, and for watching!

    Wow, I've been searching for a solution to a problem I have: I want to turn on my Kasa smart switches that control my ceiling fans when the AC goes off, but I haven't been able to find anything. Thanks to you, I just discovered the vibration sensor. I'm hoping this will be enough to detect the vibration of my air handler's fan when it turns on, and then send a signal to turn on all my switches. Thanks so much!

    Some cool stuff, interesting about you wanting plugged in PIR, In my experience have found that PIR and contact sensors last for an eternity on battery.

      Thanks! Might be an opinion I formed over time - I think it was because I rely on the motion sensors so much, that I feel it when they don't work - so I always to find plug in solutions (outside especially). But even as I rewatched the video I mention the one in my office has been working for over a year on 1 AA battery so I guess that's pretty good! - thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it - and thanks for watching of course!

    The real test is what works with Matter-zigbee bridges like Hue Bridge for lights, or Third Realities Smart Bridge MZ1 for local control without any subscriptions or cloud work arounds.

      Sonoff S40 lites work great with Hue and 3R.

      Sonoff SNZB-06P are excellent mmWave Occupancy Sensors, yeah works great with 3R's hub. Not to Mention Ikea's Parasoll door sensors.

      All the products I spoke about don't require a third party hub other than a home assistant USB dongle/hub which communicates with the device locally (no cloud). Although some of them do have an available hub, they are not required to work with home assistant - and I would not recommend them unless you stay all with one brand! - thanks for watching and for the feedback - I really appreciate it!

      @@yoyoTechKnows home assistant is a third party hub. Lol

      @yoyoTechKnows  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Bigglare lol - I know, but different in that this one “hub” can work with all of these products locally - as opposed to some products that require a brand specific hub or bridge

    The video fade in effect on each camera change is very distracting. The information in the video was good!

      Thanks for the feedback - I am always trying different things - might have gone a little overboard with that one! Glad you liked the information, and thanks for watching!

    I thought Hive stopped selling in US. Are these sensors supported by them or they work in HA but SOL if there is hardware issue?

    • @yoyoTechKnows
      @yoyoTechKnows  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think they stopped selling the complete HIVE solution (Hub etc) - but I find the sensors and devices are still available and I find them to work great. I guess they could be liquidations, but I have been able to pick a bunch up on sale - and they don't seem to be restocked constantly on amazon. - thanks for the feedback, and for watching!
