Hacked GT3C 4WS Setup

- In this video we take a look at setting up 4ws four wheel steering on the Flysky GT3C with hacked firmware. This works for the GT3C, GT3B, GT2B radios with 8 channel hack. 4WS is simple to setup on any of the switches allowing 3 position operation. The Crab function can be mapped to any channel offering momentary operation.
I choose to set my four wheel steering control on the dual rate switch on the top of the grip and my crab function on the button by the finger on the grip.
Be sure before turning vehicle on you set the endpoints on whatever channel chosen for the rear steer. For example I use CH 3. Set endpoints on this channel to around 40 percent. This will allow for sace operation of servo without risk of damage. Once powered set endpoints accordingly.

Ive got everything to work except throttle/brake. can you help me on settings for that. I have 3 crawlers and lost throttle on all of them.
OK what kind of ESC are you running? Once you hook up this new transmitter more than likely you’re going to have to do a calibration on your ESC in order to get everything to work. Give me some more details about what’s going on I have noticed on these transmitters a lot of the times they are natively set up for 1/5 scale large buggies so many times you will have to reverse channel 2, but that’s easy enough to do. Let me know what your set up is and what issues you’re having and I’ll try to walk you through it

Is the only way to map the 3rd channel, like you did for rear steer, by hacking?
Yes unfortunately the only way to access these menus is with the upgraded hacked firmware.
Is there a way to defalt it to just front steer, then push the switch foward for 4ws and back for rws?
Not really however on the switch I have it set up on if you were to click the switch forward and make it forward steer only it’s going to remember that sitting. Then if you click it back one time it’s going to go to four wheel steer click it back again rear wheel steer only. So I guess the answer is yes and no
Basically how I have it set up in the video is a three positions switch the middle being four wheel steering the back being rear wheel and all the way forward is Ford only hope that makes sense
