Brilliant, I was at Prenton Park for Sunderland 's going up party, the fans took over 3 .5 sides of the ground, with Tranmere's blessing. They needed the money, the Police wouldn't allow this now, great day. I am a Tranmere supporter.
As you may know Sunderland been in league one for a few years now.. Newcastle at the bottom of the Premier league.. Got 7 points out of 14 games.. Not looking good... You never know Sunderland might play Newcastle next season....
@@swagon4545 I do really hope we don’t get relegated but would love a derby day maybe in the cup or the clubs could just organise a friendly or something
It goes to show you that the Black Cats had both pace and accuracy. The first two goals were taken from distance and Vaughn's just inside the 18 yard box. None of those strikes could have been stopped. In their remaining Premier league matches up to relegation, I can't remember any in which SAFC scored three such precise shots.
If Di Canio had been left to manage the team as he saw fit, SAFC would still be in the Premiership. His firing was in response to a group of party boys who resented his discipline. It marked the beginning of the end for the Black Cats.
Watching this again at Easter - Good Friday 2023, fantastic. Living in Hertfordshire now and going down the pub to see the Lads play Hull 17:30 KO. We are doing well, first season back in the Championship considering all the injuries. Consolidate this season and push for the Prem next season.
@Batmanthe3rd, Don't feel too bad... Sunderland very well may be going up this year, and Newcastle has been treading water for weeks. Their January window probably won't be too special, so there won't be that many places separating the 2 clubs by next May.
Oh someone is upset lol must be a geordie punching horses to fuck smashing up there own city mind u it looked better after it was smashed up than before lol
Bad times for the toon. Many dross managers, teams lacking in character, and much ill feeling towards the ownership in those few years and it showed on the pitch. Overall Newcastle have a better head2head record and did thrash Sunderland badly 5-1 a couple of years before this and 4-1 at the stadium of shite in 2006. Sunderland did have good sides around 2013-2016 but Newcastle underperformed massively. Newcastle have always been the bigger club.
