I totally get it. I couldn't never do it, but I understand. Genetically, Ella is the surrogates, but she never was really, she was always this couples baby, genetics or not. Genetics don't make a family. In the surrogates mind, Ella was never her baby, she's just carrying someone else's child.

Stephanie starrett the women who was pregnant wasn't the mother, even though she's genetically related to the child. The father is genetically related to the child but the mother isn't. But it's not about genetics which i think is lovely
