Being trans, I get where he's coming from. I refer to my past self in third person too. It helps to distance yourself from the person you *were* to lessen the embarrassment; for me it helps lessen the dysphoria. Plus I literally feel like I'm looking at/talking about a different person.

I remember some of these videos. Looking back I practically grew up watching you. (If I do the math I've been watching you since I was 13 and I'm 18 now) I've seen the eyebrows grow angrier, you give less and less shits, and of course, my favorite, Facade. This was hilarious, but I'm disappointed that Cry of Fear didn't make it on here. That was my favorite of your "old" playthroughs. Speaking of Cry of Fear, I remember that joke from 14:50. "Let's just go down this abandoned hallway. There's nothing in here! What were you doing in here? What is your existence like?" Part of me misses the old John, but part of me is glad he's gone. Congrats on 200,000 subs John! You earned it!

Tried eating dinner while watching this. That went just fine up until the Call of Cthulhu-video and everything turned into part crying of laughter, part choking. Your Call of Cthulhu-playthrough is still one of my favourites, by the way.
I think I found your channel in 2013 via the White Day series. Couldn't run the game and wanted so badly to find a playthrough without commentary, ended up finding yours and very hesitantly began watching it... and subscribed a few minutes in. It's so cool to see how much you've changed and improved, but I really enjoyed a lot of your old content then and I still do. Maybe it wasn't as, er, professional then as it is now, but it still succeeded in being entertaining and genuine. It still is, obviously, but in a sliiightly different way. :D Congratulations on 200k subs and thanks for all your hard work!
Seriously close to half a million subs. I've seen alright content creators with double the amount of subs, but John and his channel... Probably one of the rare gems you'll find out there. This is an underrated channel, it deserves better. Whether you agree or not, it's just my thoughts on the matter.
