44:50 no, KK, the court DID NOT find that against AJ, the court issued a default judgement and AJ was never permitted to argue the merits on his case. The court simply declared that AJ wasn't supplying all the documents he was supposed to, despite supplying tens of thousands of them. AJ was totally railroaded. You can't even say the trial was a sham, *_because there literally was no trial_* except to calculate the damages that they assumed he was guilty of causing.

Man I first heard Ariel Pink when I was 16 in 2005 or so… this guy has been a trailblazer in underground indie rock. EVERYONE liked him, everyone was stoked when he released new content. He had similar fan bases to groups like animal collective and deerhunter.
I knew there would be hate against him for attending the rally, but I had no idea labels would drop him and try to erase him and make him broke.
We love you Ariel, Pom Pom is one of the greatest albums of all time.

the true genius of ariel is his ability to replicate many different styles of music from different eras and decades, then puts his own unique spin on things. one song may sound like a pop hit from the 60s and then another sounds like some weird futuristic 80s new wave song, then back to a black sabbath-esque rock tune. his recording technique is also a lot of his style and his appeal “lo-fi” he does an excellent job at making music that sounds so familiar yet so totally different. ariel is one of the most important artists of our time and its terrible whats happened to him but i have much more respect for him now then i ever did before

KK repetitively harangues Pink with the question "Yes, yesy, but, who are 'THEY'"? to which Pink replies each time, "its 'US... all of us but some are *following a principle* that is willing, *individual by individual* , our destruction (paraphrase)"
and KK is not satisfied with what is a logical and rather sophisticated response to KK's inference instead that Pink believes in a masterminded conspiracy...
What's galling is that KK himself at 1:12:00 refers to "those people" when talking about the moral code that Trump was opposed to, which Pink (who is no silver tongue unfortunately, failing to emphasise that these threatening motives are based different values/principles) identifies parsimoniously and sufficiently succinctly as "globalists". But KK is never satisfied with Pink's sound responses that point to "they" as "those OF US whose principles are globalist/woke and are against USA/West/(Christian values) in a war for cultural hegemony etc".
KK keeps pushing to characterise Pink's position as conspiratorial - see 1:29:00 to 1:31:30 - What do you think KK is up to with this stubborn and fruitless questioning?

This was super interesting but a little difficult to watch. It felt like Ariel and the Triggermometry cast were effectively saying the same thing but were talking past each other. Ariel's point was that it is the will of a certain group of people with a certain mindset that is dictating public disclose, but the Triggermometry cast viewed his emphasis on there being a "group of people" and calling them "they" as a claim about a maniacal, coordinated cabal planning to rule the world.
Groupthink in practice looks like autonomous individuals spontaneously developing a perspective, gravitating towards people with that shared perspective, discussing their shared vision, and those individuals going out into the world to make their vision a reality. People with power and influence with a shared perspective will move the world in a certain direction and when they all meet in a room and outsiders learn of it and those outsiders dont emphasize how spontaneous that meeting was, it will sound like they are describing a cabal. It seemed pretty clear he didn't believed in a cabal once he said "by they, I mean us" but his point was not understood so the conversation became circular.

Ariel made the musically boring 00s brilliant with his albums House Arrest, The Doldrums, Sacred Famous, FF>>, Lover Boy and Worn Copy. Then he got semi-famous in 2010 with the Before Today album. When he performed a fantastic rendition of "Round & Round" on Fallon I thought he was gonna be as big as Nirvana. Didn't quite happen but he did a couple more brilliant LPs Mature Themes & Pom Pom. He was always a bit of a provocative contrarian in the mould of Johnny Rotten, Mark E Smith, Morrissey etc. so he wasn't going to appeal to everyone. He wound up a lot of people so when those haters found they had a useable weapon to destroy him they used it with full force.
I don't have to personally like or agree with musicians I admire. I didn't know if I was going to want to hear what he had to say but I think he did really well and this talk has actually endeared me further to him. Let's hope he's top of the charts in 2023.

Always enjoyed Ariel's music. Also, it annoys the fuck out of me when people make all these tired old points against the idea a "conspiracy" could happen. How can they keep it a secret? It's not a secret, we're talking about it. No one is that competent. We went to the fucking moon, we built huge cities, social engineering is not something so complicated it's unfeasible. Who are "they"? The WEF, Davos, anyone who runs a large bank, etc. The global elite that everyone always talks about. It is beyond obvious that there's a group of people essentially trying to control the world. It seems like people make these tired points to come off like a serious intellectual that doesn't believe in "nonsense", and to protect themselves from social stigma. Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence, they still make these arguments. It's exactly the same thing that used to/does happen with UFOs.

So I miss a lot, but I can't be cancelled from a game I don't play.
I don't care what someone's views or words are as long as they don't hurt me. Free not to listen / agree / purchase at will. I don't ever want to have a godlike power to harm someone the way Ariel has been harmed.

Are trying to double down on this idea, "well that doesn't mean anything was planned, that's just how people are." Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.. He said it clearly, "It's not organic" and he's correct. In the mid 90s to the 2000s is when the underground subcultures of indie, punk and metal got nearly fully appropriated into the corporate thought police system. The internet was fundamental to this happening. Because of the internet we all live and work in the same office now. When you get a memo, you fall in line, or else!... I'd say Clinton deregulating FM radio was a major shift pre internet. Many independent music labels were bought by the majors and continued to operate under the same "store front". So now people don't create culture, culture creates people. The organic (by the people, for the people) youth culture all got swooped up into the mass media's orange man bad syndrome. Nothing unites people like a common enemy. Artists like Ariel, they get accepted by the scene, but they didn't come from the scene, and they aren't part of the scene. He kept his head above water while everyone else was busy fitting in and getting programed. That's why they made a concentrated effort to take him out. Nearly no spiritual and/or cultural movement has been without music because it unites hearts and minds. Control the music, control the people, and it has ALWAYS been this way. When art and music slide downhill, the rest of civilization will follow. Its a lot to unpack, lol..

I'm so fed up with these same tired old arguments that people use to justify their belief that a "conspiracy" can't happen. The leaders of the world, the CEOs of the biggest companies meet at least once a year publicly, brought together by the likes of the WEF and Davos group. Then, after these meetings, they all implement the exact same rules, regulations, and procedures, all fueled by the exact same ideology, and I'm supposed to believe that's a coincidence? When we're talking about the masses, yes it's groupthink, but when we're talking about the global elite it's entirely deliberate. They might not have a step by step plan, but they sure as hell have the same goals. This is all out in the open, you can read their plans on their own websites. It's just mind boggling how in the face of overwhelming evidence people make these same old arguments, probably in an attempt to avoid the stigma of being called a conspiracy theorist.

I can very much relate to Ariel's story. I've been involved in my local music scene and it has been terrifying to watch the radicalization of the arts into Ultra Woke Leftwing radicalism that sees support for Trump, in any capacity, as the Ultimate Enemy of all that they hold sacred.
If only they realized that without free speech or a halfway decent economy they won't exist... I also expressed some views my local arts scene didn't agree with (being vaccine skeptical) and several "friends" tried to disparage me on Facebook and started to ignore me when I was in public.
Some people did express support and solidarity quietly and presumably under the condition of silence... which in of itself was eye-opening. We need more people who aren't afraid to speak the truth. I tell myself I need to get out there and tell more truth in the music scene and everywhere else for that matter. If we don't stand up for what we believe in, we will lose everything to this quickly-spreading insanity!

One way of tackling this is to look up Byron Katie worksheets ( free) and do them honestly and religiously ….then anyone can become empowered, whatever is going on around them. Yes it was hard and despicable what happened to Ariel, but actually he doesn’t have to suffer. Meditation with a good teacher is also so helpful…now many online ( best are free ) . Without the tools, people often spiral down, fixating on what happened, their beliefs etc …I see this is what happened to Harry and Meghan…I hate what they did but see they don’t have the tools and unless they get the right help, they will really end up going insane …like Ariel will ( of course Ariel did nothing wrong and is very likeable and will hopefully get a lot of support).

Not sure why people think KK was being difficult here. In every video I watch he challenges some points, even ones he agrees with. This is how good, well rounded conversations happen. Some pushback is needed on any topic, and most guests react to pushback well because they’re well versed in the topic or they’re confident in the ideas they’re presenting. He’s not even totally dismissive of what Ariel is saying in my opinion, he’s just applying some pressure for him to say what he means in its entirety. I actually found Ariel to be somewhat difficult to watch myself because he isn’t prepared to elaborate or answer a question directly. He rambled off many times and evaded a straightforward answer with vague references and metaphors. It’s KK’s job to bring make these conversations as detailed and understandable as possible, which is what I think he was doing. Regardless hope the best for this guy and generally can see where he is coming from.

We're supposed to believe it's just a coincidence that the WEF and UN openly talk about what they want in each nation, and that it occurs shortly afterwards lol. They are the ones saying it, not the 'conspiracy theorists'... It's completely out in the open - there is no secret.
I'm not entirely familiar with KK but I'm willing to bet he was totally on board with the vaxx madness at first, calling us conspiracy theorists, even though we were correct about everything. The way he went full outraged Liberal NPC on Kanye was cringe. ''Not THAT kind of speech''
Now it's confirmed that there WAS a roundtable deciding in regards to big tech, and where's the apology to Ariel? Nothing, they are off to call the next obvious thing a conspiracy. Average IQs.
