Dude, words cannot describe how relaxing and intrigued I feel when watching your videos. Is not only nostalgia that I feel but it's watching world of warcraft in a total different perspective.
Imagine you're just walking around on an interesting little hunt for some magic orbs and you end up summoning a long sealed away evil and the entire server now knows what you did
lol that's tied with: people solo ulduar in dal. A quite dead mage has a very strong chance of letting everyone know, right along with: the ice is melting.
If you think I missed any feel free to let me know! Will make a part 2 if you would like that. Hope you enjoy Renault was in scarlet monastery btw - not sure why I said stratholme
MadSeasonShow the first secret boos that i found was that satyr guy from Karazhan. I was moving my mouse until i saw a clickable book shelf Then my guild congratulated me and they questioned me "How the fuck did you find that?". I telled them i founded by mistake
I enjoyed this, LOL there where bosses I completely forgotten about in that list, and one I had no idea was even there. I played for 11 years before age made my hands shake too much to play anymore to raid anything out of normal mode. It was fun watching this and reminiscing of the fun I had with guilds I belonged to and just having fun with my friends.
Thanks for watching, Lorrie! I like reminiscing about the old days as well(heck I even have a whole series about it). I'm glad these videos can bring out some of that nostalgia. Take care =)
I have to say I really do miss the old "Tough challenges" to used to have I tested this game back in 2004, and comparing it now it is a Kids wet dream compared to dying every time you got more than 1 mob on you. Love the content! keep the video's coming.
This is crazy. I played during a lot of the events in all your videos and remember all that. Talk about nostalgia. I loved those old days of WoW. Still miss them.
Love that Palpatine / Plagueis reference MadSeasonShow! Followed you since you only had a couple of tausands of followers. Precise short guides with your fast voice. I think now you are far more relaxed & chilln while recording and voicing the videos! Please keep up the good work!
I can literally sit here day after day after day and watch videos on classic WoW. The most magical game known to myself and to many others. Thanks man for the trip back down memory lane 😊
There is a summoned boss also inside the old Maraudon dungeon. There is a questchain given to you by a centaur npc in the Desolace (pre-cata) where you need to summon three centaur kings and one of them (or maybe two, I can't remember now) are summoned inside the dungeon. They should be on the purple crystal wing. You see their spirits walking by and they are friendly but as soon as you cast a certain spell (with an item given to you by the quest npc) they become killable. At the end of the questchain you get a trinket as a reward.
There is also " the lurker below" at sherpentshrine cavern. You can summon him by fishing inside that round pipe platform at the center of the instance
Ive been watching your videos for years now, and the super sayian Omegaplugg was the most hilarious thing you've put in so far... still dying. Keep it up pal. love the content!
I never noticed till you posted this vid that they had brought back Lord Hel'nurath in legion and once again warlocks are stealing his horse.. love it.
a funny mention: you forgot one of the rare bosses that are literally summoned :D By the warlock npcs in early LBRS cast a summon portal which mostly spawns imps or the occational fel hunter mob, but the summoning portal also has a chance to spawn a rare felguard Boss "Burning Felguard". Ty as always for the relaxed, nostalgic content
When I see new MadSeasonShow video, not only does it make my day better, it makes my whole week better. Thank you so much for doing what you do, keep up the good work, love your videos. peace!
Summoning that boss in Sunk Temple back in the day was the very 1st thing in game i had to look up on the internet. Only took me 4 or 5 times to remember to write it down
I don't know if it's been said, but you should make a video on the old sunken temple if you can! I never knew about the old one until you mentioned it, and every time you bring it up I get more and more interested. Besides, you're the only youtuber I would want to see cover it :D
I found out a little while back that you *can* still summon the Warlock mount boss, assuming you still have the items to do so. Since Blizzard removed soul shards as an item that you carried around they just made it possible to repair the different tools without it consuming anything. There are like 2 items the boss drops that, as far as I know, only drop off that boss.
I love all the music you play in the background, I just finished playing Darkest Dungeon, to then watch your vid and there it is again LOL. Still good job with your vids man, keep em coming.
With Nightbane, once you summon him, you can go and finish the dungeon if you want, then come back and kill him. As long as you talked to Medivh to allow him to be summoned then you can take your time in the rest of the instance.
Thank you for making these videos, even though I didn't live in that time period, it's good to know what once was and compare it to now. Sounds fun. I've been working on Classic WoW for a while, and loving every second. Lots of knowledge comes from here. I'm going to go play now, but thanks.
Soooo much nostalgia here. Love your videos man. I last played shortly after Cataclysm was released. But I had started in 2005. Watching your videos really makes me want to start in Classic again. One more thing, I now know I've been pronouncing *reagent* in my head incorrectly all this time. Thought it was Ree-gent, instead of Re-agent... Granted, I don't think I've ever seen the word outside of WoW.
I've been watching your videos non-stop for a month in preparation for trying WoW Classic, and the Palpatine line made me spit out my water lol. I love your damn videos.
I love ur chill productions, the way u use video, music, and the voice just sets it off perfect. Just curious what the intro music is from, sounds like an old Rush song or something. Anyway keep up the great work, you bring us joy, especially people like me who don't play WoW currently, but still have fondness for the game.
Glad you like the videos...thanks for watching them! I have the music linked in the description if you'd like to hear the full tune. It's a remix of the Tristram theme from the Diablo series =)
smoldering emberwyrm mount has a 20% drop chance for the entire party per character, skipping those who already have it. so if you solo it the drop chance is 20% if you have a full party its 100% split between all party members who dont have the mount.
What a great video! It basically covered everything that used to fun and cool in WOW!! All those quest chains that had you exploring and tracking down items in obscure places! I have done everything in this video more than a few times on different toons... it was fantastic !! Thanks for the video and a reminder of all the good times in WOW!
Great video, hoping for a part two. I know it's a bit late for suggestions but the hunter quest demons were the most challenging thing I ever did in any game, even getting the quest was a challenge. The top comment on one of the items rewarded from wowhead sums it up better than I could. "The quests require a hunter to go solo against four elite demons. A single buff, heal, point of damage or etc. from another player was enough to reset the encounter. Basically anything that put another player on the demon's aggro table reset the encounter. These quests were custom created so that you and only you could defeat the demons. So if you have this bow it meant you learned how to play... There wasn't much you could do to get around this shy of having someone else play our account. Thus I consider this the closest thing in the game to graduating from college for a hunter. On a guild application the Rhock indicated this players can kite, dps hard, manage aggro, and etc. I can't think of a single piece of hunter gear that indicates as much about a hunter's skill than the Rhok. Don't confuse what I'm saying here, it isn't the best bow DPS and stats wise, but rather the best bow for proving one's merit as a epic hunter."
I first started playing vanilla when my girlfriend introduced me. I stopped playing for a while right after WOTLK due to health complications stemming from a rare auto-immune neurological disorder. Watching your videos actually was the starting point for playing again. And now I'm back to enjoying the game. Thanks, man.
Feel proud to have done nearly all of these bosses, it's crazy to remember all the niche summons/hidden stuff from the past.. guess I can go back on classic, still need to get into that before it's too late
Hey thanks for keeping me interested in this game, it’s been really hard with the AP and weird grind in Legion but you making videos gives me hope for blizzard.
This brought back so many old memories, thanks for doing all this work. I remember doing the old quest chain to kill the giant shark named Maws that rewarded the underwater breathing ring, still have the ring and the original fishing tournament trinket that tuns you into a fish. I also remember a neat quest that took place in old 1k needles that had you jump off a cliff, don't remember what the reward was but do remember that i enjoyed the quest chain. Quest for a big bag found under a waterfall in Hinterlands. Did the old warrior dungeon armor sets, Thunderfury and Quel'serrar sword quests and Sulfuron hammer too. I wonder now just how many hours i spent doing all of those classic quests...Thunderfury in pvp was the most wow lol 's ever. p.s. still have all of the Scourge event items too:P

Hi there!! Man, I’m your fan! Your videos are Amazing! It’s awesome see your videos! Keep up this very perfect Job! Gratz!
Nice piece MadS! While I love the game in it's current form, classic WoW had some great "hidden" mechanics that made it so interesting. This is a great retrospective on some of WoW's early MMO charm and mystique.
Omg this video is amazing! Theres so many i had no idea about and have now got plans for what to do next time im on warcraft! :D Most excited to kill endgineer omegaplug and get that toy!
Just thought I’d repeat my tip for your potentially upcoming tips and tricks video, as it doesn’t look like you noticed my previous comment: I discovered some time ago that the mounting animation doesn’t override casting animations. This means that if you time any buff or spell cast correctly, such as a Death Knight’s Horn of Winter, it’ll make it look like you summoned your mount by blowing your horn rather than the bland-looking default animation.
I didn't realize this was relatively unknown. I have had macros for years (well, not so much now with the pruning of buffs) that would recast periodic buffs along with my mount so I never had to think about rebuffing myself. This worked for all of the old class buffs since they were instant cast (like druids Mark of the Wild) Blessing of Kings paired with your go to mount on my paladin for example. The full macro I used went like this for those interested: #showtooltip *insertmountnamehere* /cast Blessing of Kings /cast *insertmountnamehere* Replace blessing of kings with any self buff that needs to be replied periodically and you will forever buff yourself on remounting. *NOTE* I did not include a self cast in my macro because I found it still useful to spam in dungeons/raids to buff the group since you could rarely mount in them anyways (and in any case where you would mount, moving while buffing would ensure you didnt mount up), thereby reducing the spells on my action bars. If you are really determined to have the macro choose between casting primarily/only on yourself vs friendlies, you have a few options availble, such as including a mouse over action for the buff, or use your personal in-game settings to toggle for self casting, but it just seemed redundant to me. The same can even be done with hunter/shaman/DK water walking buffs so you can just mount up and run over water.
Even though I knew about almost all of them, please make a part two. There might even be more that I don't know of and I can't stand it. Maybe even a "missed out secret boss" kind of list. Where you talk about opportunities Blizzard could have implemented a secret boss (lore wise speaking), but didn't. Anyhow, love your videos, love your voice, please keep on going like you do best.
I'm sure you mention it in your tier 0.5 video but in Silithus there is (was?) a whole series of summoned bosses requiring you to collect an outfit of the twilight's hammer and to turn in research notes. You needed to specifically summon the fire boss which was a salamander to complete part of the tier 0.5 chain.
I remember doing some of those quest chains pre-BC. Like the Zul'farrak Mallet one, it could be done on your own back in the day, but it wasn't easy. I remember spending a ton of time just trying to sneak past as many of the elites as I could. Being a warrior, the task wasn't easy. They weren't terribly hard elites, but fighting them did slow you down. I'm pretty sure my original account, if I could recover it completely today it would still have that mallet sitting in the bank on my warrior. Also remember some of the other bosses on this list. Oh the memories this video brought up, when I was at my peak of enjoyment of the game. Last time I played I remember going through Black Fathom Deeps a few times, and each time telling my group "Hey, there is a boss under here". Each time no one else in my group ever knew the boss was there. It sucks they changed the way the boss looks. =(
Since it is an old video, someone might have mentioned it before, but the Mallet of Zul’Farak was not a piece of equipment until WotLK. It was an uncommon item only used to summon Gahz’rilla. Once the mallet was no longer required to summon the boss, it was turned into an item. I believe the same is true for the scepter in Maraudon.
I haven't watched this video yet, but since I never see people comment this I gotta say I love your use of FFX music on your videos, giving me double the nostalgia trip! q.q
atal was a blast honestly ST was my fave dungeon back in vanilla i ran it so many times just outta sheer enjoyment i still remember all the halls and corridors to lead to each boss!
You forgot to mention that Ghaz'Ranka in ZG also had a chance to drop the Tome of Polymorph: Turtle for mages. In Vanilla, sheep was standard, pig was received in a high level mage quest, and Turtle was from Ghaz'Ranka. In Burning Crusade, I'd solo him on my paladin main to get the tome for my mage alt, and sometimes to sell for a large pile of gold on the AH.
Gahz'ranka also used to drop the Polymorph: Turtle tome which used to be the only other poly transmog apart from sheep/pig - it was super rare for a mage to have so I just had to have it :D
I'm glad you put the high inquisitor secret boss cause I remember fighting a secret boss in that dungeon in that exact spot but couldn't remember his name.
There is a hidden boss in Black Rook Hold, where if you do an archaeology quest chain, you get a key that allowed you to fight the boss. Speaking of Archaeology, also got the ones in the new ZG where you need a certain skill level in that profession to summon one of 4 random bosses.
IIRC, Gahz'ranka used to be the only way to access the Pig polymoroph spell for mages when it was originally released. I remember that this was the biggest reason that I wanted to fight this boss back when my guild was doing Zul'gurub in vanilla.
So much nostalgia, why did I come back to Venezuela where I can't play my favourite game?? :( can say I did most of these quests and killed most of those bosses, but honestly I miss this game so much. BTW, I think there were some other "secret" bosses missing out. To get to some you actually had to go through lenghty quests but in other cases you just found them. * Azuregos - Rare Spawn in Aszhara. * Lord Kazzak - Blasted Lands (which was later moved to his own seat at Hellfire Peninsula) * The demon which was summoned at the top of a rock spire in Blasted Lands, the end quest would give you a big bag (big by those times standards) * The huge hydra it spawned in a pool in the seas off Aszhara, part of the Bang-A-Gong quest series. etc. *sigh* have a great day.
Dude, words cannot describe how relaxing and intrigued I feel when watching your videos. Is not only nostalgia that I feel but it's watching world of warcraft in a total different perspective.
we got classic woooo!!!!!
By far the best wow Content on TH-cam man, I love these!

Did you ever hear the tragedy of high inquisitor Fairbanks?..........i think not, it's not a story the paladins would tell you.

i remember nr4 from this th-cam.com/video/TusjhHLZVd4/w-d-xo.html i watched it so many times see them failing
Is Atiesh considered a summoned boss for this list? The one from the end of the Atiest questline from classic.
I have to say, you make videos that are very easy to rewatch. I've watched this like 3 times now already and it's still very entertaining to me
Its unreal how good your content is
Out of all youtubers i’ve ever listened to or watched this guy has by far the calmest and most relaxing Voice it’s really nice lol
It feels like you put loads of effort into making these videos and it really shows. I learn so much and love it :D
I enjoyed this, LOL there where bosses I completely forgotten about in that list, and one I had no idea was even there. The way you clip the video together is really awesome! I love all the shots and that we get to see the bosses in action aswell, good job!
Love that Palpatine / Plagueis reference MadSeasonShow! Followed you since you only had a couple of tausands of followers. Precise short guides with your fast voice. I think now you are far more relaxed & chilln while recording and voicing the videos! Please keep up the good work!
MAAAADDDS your content is maddddd. You're honestly making me consider coming back to WoW. (Haven't played since WoTLK)

19:22 haha kool-aid style, the "OH-YEAH!!!" part was a perfect touch, thanks for adding it MadSeason~ (:
You make me regret that I didn't give WoW a try much earlier.
Really great stuff, can't stop watching your videos!
Good stuff
Maybe one day there will be a secret boss called Gunther Arcanus :D
The best part of the postmaster boss is that when he defeated your group he would yell "You've been MALOWNED!"
This channel is amazing, no plugs, no weak jokes just quality content. You make it look easy
Ive been watching your videos for years now, and the super sayian Omegaplugg was the most hilarious thing you've put in so far... still dying. Keep it up pal. love the content!

That SSJ effect was amazing! Haha, thanks for all you do. It's always great listening to you on my drive to work. Keep up the great work!

My favorite classic dungeons before the revamp. Have encountered most of these bosses and have missed them since it has been revamped. Nice vid, btw.
Awesome job man. Loved these quest chains even tho there were such a pain in the ass, however when you finished them the reward was worth it :)
I still have the reagents to summon Lord Hel'nurath, I'm glad that I hoarded those for all these years.
I watch your content with great interest. Your voice is very calming also and you explain everything very well. Very entertaining and informative.
I've been watching your videos non-stop for a month in preparation for trying WoW Classic, and the Palpatine line made me spit out my water lol. I love your damn videos.

Hey madseason i just want to say You are my favorite wow TH-camr You make chill videos and You explain stuff so well
Always happy to see a new video from you, man! Keep it up!
Hey thanks for keeping me interested in this game, it’s been really hard with the AP and weird grind in Legion but you making videos gives me hope for blizzard.
Glad I can help. It seems like we'll be in a drought here patch-wise until BfA. If I can help tide you over until then, that's great!
Sweet I was just looking for something to watch from you after bringing most of your other stuff. Keep up the good work
Thanks for watching my friend..hope you enjoy =)
Your channel gets better with age. Great looks at the past and present in WoW.
that Scholo balcony boss is something i always think about. i still check the gates to see if i click them open if i'm ever in there
Absolutely love your content and the time you put into all your videos. Your passion for creation is really what makes these awesome. Thank you!
Another nostalgic video - so remember a lot of what you mentioned 😻
Fond memories of getting people to help get your Pally mount.

Drakonids really need new models. They look ridiculous. The goofy Jedi twirl and those extra silly punch animations are good for a laugh though.
KevinRPD they are Dragon Spawn not a drakeonid
Even though I knew about almost all of them, please make a part two. There might even be more that I don't know of and I can't stand it. Maybe even a "missed out secret boss" kind of list. Where you talk about opportunities Blizzard could have implemented a secret boss (lore wise speaking), but didn't.
Anyhow, love your videos, love your voice, please keep on going like you do best.
i love your channel man, nobody makes content like this!
This was actually pretty cool to watch. Nice video idea I haven’t seen yet. Even if I knew most of em
i swear, all these videos make me realize how much i love this game
This guy is entering enough to make me love something I’ll never willing play
I love the intro music, it's so calming lol
Excellent video!!! Perfect mix between information and humour
I'm sure you mention it in your tier 0.5 video but in Silithus there is (was?) a whole series of summoned bosses requiring you to collect an outfit of the twilight's hammer and to turn in research notes. You needed to specifically summon the fire boss which was a salamander to complete part of the tier 0.5 chain.
great choise of music dude - well done!
23 mins of MadSeason's video, best cure for any illness, thank you man!
Marek L and 46 seconds, and 46 seconds ;)
Listening to this tryna get over my cold
Your cinematography and cuts are great
Since it is an old video, someone might have mentioned it before, but the Mallet of Zul’Farak was not a piece of equipment until WotLK. It was an uncommon item only used to summon Gahz’rilla. Once the mallet was no longer required to summon the boss, it was turned into an item. I believe the same is true for the scepter in Maraudon.
You forgot to mention that Gahz’ranka in ZG also dropped the Polymorph: Frog spell for mages.
legion nightbane was the most fun i had with a secret boss in a long while, the kara revamp was actually really cool
I haven't watched this video yet, but since I never see people comment this I gotta say I love your use of FFX music on your videos, giving me double the nostalgia trip! q.q
Great video, and you used the Diddy Kong Quest pirate soundtrack for the background, 10/10
atal was a blast honestly ST was my fave dungeon back in vanilla i ran it so many times just outta sheer enjoyment i still remember all the halls and corridors to lead to each boss!
Keep it up! This is channel is fantastic, dude :)
I didn't even know that these bosses were secret, I'm kinda glad i got to experience them and even get items through those quests
There is a hidden boss in Black Rook Hold, where if you do an archaeology quest chain, you get a key that allowed you to fight the boss. Speaking of Archaeology, also got the ones in the new ZG where you need a certain skill level in that profession to summon one of 4 random bosses.
I just love how you sound happy and sad at the same time
I can't believe you didn't mention the Lucid Nightmare mount! That thing was hell to get back when no one knew how.
* Lord Kazzak - Blasted Lands (which was later moved to his own seat at Hellfire Peninsula)
* The demon which was summoned at the top of a rock spire in Blasted Lands, the end quest would give you a big bag (big by those times standards)
* The huge hydra it spawned in a pool in the seas off Aszhara, part of the Bang-A-Gong quest series.
etc. *sigh* have a great day.
