    I used to work for a big company doing detailing until I branched out on my own but in order for me to actually make money per car I did the same technique. Extracting is time consuming when you make money per vehicle.

    So this is the same concept as “shampooing’’ the carpets and seats, right? Sorry, I’m new to the detailing world and trying to learn everything I can. Great channel btw. You’re one of the best detailers I have seen. 👍🏼

    • @stephen1503
      @stephen1503 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      “Shampooing” is a catchall word that carried over from carpet cleaning. In detailing it simply means to clean the carpet/seat with some form of chemical to remove as much dirt & stains as you can.
      So it could be as simple as spraying APC and scrubbing with a brush or as advanced as using an extractor. Hope that helps!

  • @AndyHayner
    @AndyHayner ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Joel, Honest question... with your passion for efficiency and your love of P&S interior chem system... wouldnt it be worthwhile to try to identify a single chemical that gives great upholstry results (with agitation n steam of coarse) to reduce steps? Ya'll satisfied or still looking? IMO finding one hitter quitter for upholstery would be another major step forward. There's got to be a better way than 3 different chemicals... at least I'm hoping. We have to keep pushing.

    • @DETAILSofficial
      @DETAILSofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For effective surfacing and release of staining without return, you need an oxygen , enzyme , acid or neutralizer (combo depends on the stain). Some stains are removed with only 1 step. It's more complicated than just finding a 1 step solution, it's about taking measures to ensure its done properly based on stain type, material type and quality of work. In short 1 product cannot do all without neutralizing itself. Hope this helps. All effective Carpet and upholstery cleaning systems have at least 2 steps.

      @JoelDetailing Been thinking about your original reply. Have a follow up question. Why does Terminator and Carpet Bomber not cancel one another when you stack them? Why cant we just combine them into a "pre-stacked" formula in on spray bottle with good results? 🤔

    • @DETAILSofficial
      @DETAILSofficial  ปีที่แล้ว
