Does this one fix the accuracy issues the Tritan version had in it’s reviews?

Hi there Robert! Grizzly takes pride in our QC and production facilities. If you have specific questions regarding the accuracy or specifications for the machines, our customer service folks can certainly help you with that! Hope that helps!

It is the exact same thing as the Triton but, Grizzly put a locking switch further down the handle - which by itself is betterment for safety.
The only problem I've had with both of them is the right-side hole is larger than the dowel. The left-side is perfect. I just got both of these and did a comparison. There is no difference other the positioning of the trigger and the color. The spring on both models is not bad at all so I guess they fixed that.
So, I'm going to take the left bit off the Triton and put it on the right side of the Grizzly. I do wonder if the bit is a hair bigger to compensate for the alignment issue...

The bottom mount dust collection looks more convenient than the rear/side hose in the Domino.

Sure hope we get to see a Jay Bates review before n this one.

I second that. A review by Jay Bates would be awesome!

Finally something should have been in the market for long time. The domino is, should really a $300 dollar product. The amount they want is just absurd. I am ordering this one.

I just ordered this online! Hoping it will help me join two 45 degree boards for a waterfall table I'm building.

So can the depth gauge be converted to SAE measurements instead of the metric system?

I imagine you could just take one drill bit out.

How much pressure do you need to apply to the jointer? I know that was one of Tritons jointers downfalls.

Hey there! This is from our resident expert: The doweler is surprisingly easy to plunge, actually! Plunge-action is, of course, often dependent on a combination of how sharp both of the forstner-style bits are and the hardness of the material being drilled. The spring-loaded action of the main housing itself is smooth, as well as the ways the gearbox slides in.
We do always recommend that with use you lubricate all moving locations and keep them clean from built up saw dust, as this can hamper the full range of motion. A simple 3-in-1 Dry Lubricant, as well as use of the dust port with a shop vac, should be a perfect combo to making each cut smooth. Hope this helps!

Are the two circular rubber bumper pads spring loaded?

Hi there! Yes, the rubber pads are spring loaded. You can look at other specifications and the parts list on its product page, www.grizzly.com/products/grizzly-pro-dual-spindle-doweling-joiner/t32540. I hope that helps!
