Tbh I don't really see the issues with this game. Looks amazing imo. Makes you think on your toes, and the level designs aren't mostly predictable like the other installments (except Frontiers). Would like more games like this
I don't think most of the commentators in the video or most of the comments in this comments section are being fair to the quality of the game at all. Is the game a masterpiece? Not at all. The voice acting varies wildly. The game isn't optimized well at all. There's a little bit of jank here and there. But 90% of the complaints in this video were people shouting "JESUS CHRIST" at basically nothing while Sunnie, who was actually the one playing, wasn't having that bad a time. The level design wasn't significantly worse than most of the official 3d Sonic games, and one of the things I think they actually did better than the games before Frontier is mixing the boost gameplay with more open level design to allow flexibility in your path. The story wasn't that bad either. Frankly, most of the complaining about how "amazingly terrible" this game is, in this video specifically, comes across as a bunch of people struggling to find something to complain about in order to be funny, as though just having an outrageous reaction to something is all it takes to be funny. I appreciated Sunnie having a more moderate reaction, getting irritated with the game when it was warranted and giving it praise where it deserved it. Again, there's definitely jank in the game. The Tornado section with the confusing buttons was just bad, no disagreement here. The mouth movements also looked pretty bad, and the unprincipled merging of different game canons as though they all definitely take place in the same worldspace was a little silly. But most of the gameplay I saw looked fine, built on a solid engine (not made by the folks who made Sonic Omens, it's worth noting), and most of the commentary was overblown. All that said, that does nothing to excuse shitty behavior from the devs. Slimy things going on behind the scenes, the creepy stuff with Maria, stealing music from other places, trying to monetize the fangame in a scummy way, harassing people who didn't like the game... these are all inexcusable. I'm just irritated with the urge to look for stuff to criticize in the gameplay when the more ethical thing to do would be to not support the developer and just not play their games.

We live in a world where Before the Sequel and Triple Trouble 16-bit exist, among others.
This game is basically built on a make-your-own Sonic level engine and some basic-ass cutscenes. That's not ambitious, it's just pretentious.
Ngl the guy playing seem like he was enjoying the game.
Sometimes it's fun to play a train wreck.
Don’t support devs that harass their own team, y’all. Omens is a joke.
sounds alot like that shadow music was taken from cyberpunk 2077
Yeah, this fangame wasn’t good.
True, it was a masterpiece.

Why did it have a Sonic version of the Spider-Man PS4 intro?
Wasn't this game called project sonic 2020 before
hey whats with the load animation
Wanna know something the infinity Engine isn’t even something originally made by them they stole it from someone else or we’ll used it as it was free use hell I can prove this since there are other sonic games that use this engine also he didn’t credit the guy who made it
Just like most sonic games one of the only things I found enjoyable was the music of “weight of the world”

Why tho?
Tbh I don't really see the issues with this game. Looks amazing imo. Makes you think on your toes, and the level designs aren't mostly predictable like the other installments (except Frontiers). Would like more games like this
Bait used to be more believable
Nice try

it looks like what sonic frontiers might have been
From what I've seen
You pc spec ?
This was a fun ride though.
I feel like people hate this because of the drama surrounding it.
Exactly like the flash movie
Nah, we also hate it because of the awful level designs and cheap bosses.
Oh yeah, and the game itself being unpolished.
Also, I haven't seen the Flash, but I heard the CGi is horrible, not to mention the cameos of dead actors.
And the baby in the microwave scene.
@@Featuring_Dinty_From_Beef_Stew The baby in the microwave thing is just a meme. On the movie, Flash puts the baby in the microwave to save it quickly during a fight. The scene in the meme is just a reversed video of him taking the baby out of said microwave after it was secured. The meme was just funny on the context of the actor's crimes.
Except the Flash movie was somewhat decent, despite Ezra Miller’s crimes.
That sounds like a hardware issue
29:10 Holy shit, Justice from hit fighting game Guilty Gear! Hi!
I only like that final boss song and the design of Exile but everything else is indeed shit with this game.
It would be cool to see you play sonic GT
Of courseit has popup tutorials. Of course.
It’s litterally the same game as sonic forces bro (gameplay speaking)
i see nothing wrong with this game, why is it so hated? ( aside from controversial topics and the bugs )
The level design is atrocious, the voice acting is a nightmare, the plot is a dumpster fire that makes Forces look like a masterpiece, it acts like Chris Thorndike exists in the game canon, it looks like ass.
Why Sonic Omens is bad? The Rings, The Unity Engine, The Roblox-like experience, The Sonic Texture, The Unreal
I’m not really a sonic fan.
But form what I’m seeing and hearing is was a really bad way to make a fan game.
Voice acting is ok…
Gameplay need work
Music is ok, I hope some of the music this stolen or taking. If it original music is some what good.
Cutscene are ok, the final boss fight looked cool.
But! What get me is the fps, it just bad. Really bad.
I can look past anything else. But not fps.
