Wow. Looks better than Montreal where i currently live. Traffic jam, construction on every corner, crappy public transportation. Great video. Looking forward to visiting Miraflores again ❤
I just came back from Lima and this is all true! It is crazy. I am from Brazil and it is a little better here. Far from ideal. Anyway, I enjoyed Lima so much! I know you do too.
@@s34nTravels To tell you the truth, Rio is the last place on my list to visit in Brazil. I really hope you have a nice time there, but please, be aware! I felt much safer in Lima, really. You must have someone who lives there to be with you in this adventure.
Thank you for this video about the trafic in Lima very interesting you give very good tips especial when you have to cross the avenues have to be really carefully regards from USA😮
I'm glad it was helpful! I had been living there for 6 months when I made the video, so I had to put myself in the mindset of being there for the first time and really think: "Ok, yeah, this is kinda weird! haha!"... It's surprising how easy you can adapt! Thank you for watching! :) :)
Thank you for the video. your vdo hv lot of information. me planing to visit lima. it help me so so much about transportation in lima city. May god bless you always.
Have only travelled by the Metrpolitano and taxis in Lima. I'm visiting next month will try to adventure myself in the other uses this time. I still have my Metropolitano card . Haven't use it since 2019, hopefully it's still valid. Very interesting video it came at a right time for me👍
I'm glad its useful! :) Yes it should still work! I don't think they have changed since then. There are some people you can pay at most stations, and they will use their card to get you into the Metropolitano, but usually you pay them 50cents more, so that is an option too!
I've seen cars blow through a red light in Central Lima for probably 15 seconds after it turned red while close to 100 people were ready to cross but afraid to be the first to step out. I also almost got run over my first time in the parking lot of a warehouse club similar to Costco thinking people would give pedestrians the right of way but learned quick even in parking lots that was not the case!
Intresting info i no i wont take the buss when I go to lima lol i wil rent a car with a driver and pay for 1 day at the time. Thats if 1 of my wifes Brothers wont drive hehe. My wife is from lima But we live in Norway
Yes she ok with Norway but ofcorse she miss to have her family around her she bin here 8 years she home 2 times a year in peru ouer plan is to move there with age
Yo dude! After watching your video, I am totally paranoid about going to Lima and walking across the street! Damn! Is it really that bad? I've been to India and China and there were streets that were pretty hairy to cross too. Are places like Miraflores or Barranco any safer?
@@s34nTravels From looking at recent YT vids in general of Lima's traffic, looks a little more laid back than Bogotá. Last time I visited Lima in 2013, it was way more chaotic with almost no traffic lights. There weren't even metro trains nor rental bikes/scooters back then.
got t boned in a tuk tuk by a combi in villa el salvador thank god we only had bruises and a cut. it ripped the thing in half. drove from Castillo de Chancay and all was good until we got into lima and i think i still have the car seat in my ass lol they drive like maniacs in lima. if its a 3 lane road they fit 4-5 cars wide.

Thanks for the crossing walk tips. We just assume that it’s safe to cross but you have to be careful when you’re in a different country.

Aca en America los buses demoran de 30 a 1 hora
Public transportation in USA is terrible haha!
If you can survive like a driver in Lima City, you can survive around the World 😁
Yes very true!! haha! 😆😆💯
Thanks
You're welcome! They just installed a new subway line very very recently, I saw it in the news yesterday!
is this the diabolic video? :D

Yup! In on the same level as maybe Thailand (If you've been there).
This video was filmed in: Miraflores, Surquillo, Lince and Lima Central! (Mostly!)
Any suggestions for staying safe then? How is Arequipa or other cities in Peru?
Sean why do you sound like Korg from Thor? Enjoy your vids!
haha! I have never seen a super hero movie, but he must be awesome if he's in Thor 🤞😅
I'm glad you like the videos!
How much monthly salary for the bus
You don't need a salary for the bus! It's around 2-3 soles
Ever drove in Bogotá?
Yeah I have actually. I met my partner there.
The only danger there is boredom because the traffic doesn't move 😆😆😆

@@BigJSA yup it's changed a lot in the last few years!

The driving definitely gets worse in the cities for sure!
It’s always busy on rush hours anywhere in the world. So don’t ride during rush hours.

It's not "metro" it's "metropolitano" (buses) very few people call it metro
I must be very unique then!
