Nothing ridiculous about the only Irish sport which has succeeded in getting Irish people to actually follow native, irish teams on a genuinely national, 32 County level unlike soccer where everybody follows British teams or Rugby which draws support for the provinces but harnesses very little support for the individual clubs.

But Gaa does not and every summer it grips Ireland, north and south and it is glorious. To a GAA- man like myself the All-Ireland finals are bigger than the World Cup.

@@padruigmacrodain sure you all follow 2 of 3 British teams anyway. One being the bheasts fae the east and the other being Liverpool or Man Utd.
