    Frackin' brilliant job. Honda could have sold a lot of these as a big brother to the CB-1!

    If Honda made these they would sell a bucket load of them.... lovely. :)

    What a superb bike build! Love every detail of it! Judging from the video it handles really well too. Just amazing.
    Would love to see the bike for real someday since you're in BC. (Vancouverite)

    That's a very well thought out,and put together bike.The VFR is not a very attractive bike with the fairing off,and is hard to make it work.I done one a few years ago,with the Euro style jacked up seat and subframe,flat bars etc.It was a riot to ride,but yours is is far superior in finish and general execution.Top work man.

    Love VFRs, and love your bike. Looked at your build thread...quiet amazing! I too am building a VFR SF, and oddly enough I too like the look of the Street triple seat look and am using that seat. I want to use a Buell Xb12 front end, I think it would look sweet! There is a lot of machining to get it to fit though. Again, awesome bike!! very much inspired! Cheers!

      thekwickster Any problems? I have a 2006 RC51 and a CB1000R. This bike is the perfect middle ground between those two. Used to have a VFR800 and love the V4 character and sound so much.

    • @thekwickster
      @thekwickster  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheMachRider Of course with any custom build or modifications there will be a lot of little details to sort out, but I've worked hard to iron out any problems or potential issues. Although the 750 V4 isn't incredibly powerful compared to a lot of modern bikes it is a very durable and refined engine.

  • @TheSenna76
    @TheSenna76 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've always fantasized about a naked VFR; with the V4 engine and a single-sided swinging arm it would be a characterful addition to the rather boring Honda model range. What Honda neglected, you have created 👍👍

    This is such an awesome build! I first read your whole post and then came across this video, gotta say it's great seeing it moving and that it worked out great :)
    Im thinking about buying one of these old VFRs for their great engine (reliability, sound & powerful enough for me) but what turns me down is the weight of the thing, so did all these mods help much with bringing the weight down? Cheers!

    Ok I have a couple of questions for you. First off is there a pasta list for your bike build. Second what tach is that. I broke mine and was looking for a different gauge. And third what tail is that. Bikes sweet. Looks amazing. I have a 96 vfr800 and a 03 vfr800.
    Thanks

    Hello man, at first... congratulations for this crazy ( but amazing ) work. No words... Really.
    I've a 750 VFR too... But i was not sure what to do whit it until few days ago. I decided to make a Cafe Racer.
    So, i would like to know something about your build : I know your fork is a 929 CBR fork, but i would know if the adaptation is difficult or not ?
    And, for the calipers/front wheel, 929 too ?
    So, thank you... your bike is a dream.

    • @750rocketman5
      @750rocketman5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably already did it but maybe it'll help someone. I did 954 but it's the same. I have 954 forks, bottom triple, yoke and brakes. F4i master cylinder, the vfr mc wont push enough fluid. 929 wheel and an rc51 top triple so I could drill it easier for flat bars.

    • @750rocketman5
      @750rocketman5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also a 929 shock, but i had to get a longer bolt from the hardware store and use some spacers to make it long enough.
