No worries! I ride a VTR250 as I'm still learning. But I found a 1993 VFR750 in my country for the same price as I paid for my 2000 model VTR250 and the VFR has less K's on the clock (30,000 vs 40,000 on VTR). How well do VFRs hold their value where you're from? They all seem pretty cheap here in Australia.
PIK yes i think they are cheap because is a sportbike. You pay twice for a Africa twin or more! Adventure bikes have more value than sportbikes! However the Vfr was a sport bike in 80s in 90s come more for cruise with a little power. But if you ask anyone the VFR engine s recognize by the durabillty lots of people use to say that was the best bike ever made! Thats why i buy the bike and build this project. Thanks for the reply and the great info! Yes, ADV style bikes are getting increasingly popular here in Australia too. Whether it's an actual adventure bike like the Africa Twin, or just a road focused immitator like the VFR800 Crossrunner. That style has become popular for touring in general. Manufacturers are taking note that not everyone wants to be in a crouched position, or a low seated upright position for hours when travelling about. The high seat, upright position of ADV bikes gives great visability and comfort. Plus there's just something great about the look of ADV bikes. This is why I was looking at something like the CB500X as my next bike (I'm only a skinny arse, so I don't need anything too powerful and don't want anything too heavy). It looks great and already has an equally great reputaion and is touted as the best of the three bikes in the CB500 range. For me, though, I'm mainly commuting to work in a rural area and any touring I do will likely be in my car with my wife! I don't think she'd appreciate being left behind if I were to jump on my little CB500X and take off without her. So something like a VFR would be a perfect alternative. I could probably build one like yours for less than the price of a brand new CB500X anyway! Thanks again, Eder :D

Love the build. Absolutely beautiful. I have a 96 VFR and the tail is cracked on it so I have two options. 1 try and find a new plastic for it, which seems to be impossible and they don't make aftermarket for this bike. 2 make her naked. I want to go naked but not sure that I have enough skill to chop it up and still have a good looking finish product. Main thing is the tail. Any ideas for the tail? Anyone ever do a bolt-on subframe and plastics swap from another bike? Let me know. Thanks :)

juan Antonio De gea obrigado pelas palavras! Sim! Está tudo dentro do sub-quadro! Desde a bateria, fusíveis bomba da gasolina.. Fica tudo acomodado debaixo do banco. A instalação eléctrica foi muito modificada! Muita atenção ao mudar porque a mínima coisa pode dar problemas!!

JONNIIS JONNIIS amigo é só a ponteira e o link.. basicamente o que não está com a fita. Eu já não tenho o escape porque era mesmo muito barulho. Achas piada ao início depois não consegues fazer 50km seguidos. Vai lá ao site e vê da Ducati Scrambler.

Radiador está em baixo atrás dos colectores do escape.num espaço muito reduzido.
