Chapter 16: A Decision (Joseph)
The original tabernacle was built soon after God forgave his people for making the golden calf. The book of Exodus spends four whole chapters (35 - 38) describing the building work! God told his people to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles to remember the time they spent in the wilderness (Leviticus 23 v 39-43).
1. It’s still celebrated by Jewish people today-they call it Sukkot-and it takes place not long after the Day of Trumpets. Read about Joseph’s dream in Matthew 1 v 20-23. Matthew doesn’t give us much detail, so the author used her imagination a lot in this part of the story! But everything the angel says comes straight from the Bible account.
