I absolutely love Helensburgh. I have been visiting there since 1980 when we had a holiday caravan at Cove further round the coast at Loch Long. It’s a lovely part of the country. Another place worth a visit is Inverary
Glad that you are having some nice weather 🌞🌞. The view from the ‘piano bar room’ window is beautiful 💕💕. Entertainment didn’t look too rowdy lol and the hotel must have been quiet if you both had a good nights sleep 👍👍. Take care, stay safe and fingers crossed the weather stays nice for you both. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
The hotel is in a lovely spot Judy. Last night's entertainment was even better, and we have slept OK, mainly because everyone staying here is as old as us nearly. 😴
Gosh to,sit and look at that beautiful water frontage would make my day. Nice day outing for you. Your meal must of been good you ate it all. Take care.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun no need to apologise, it was still warm and we sheltered from the worst, managed without putting our coats on. Where are you off to today?
Hi Trevor and Pat good to see you enjoying your holiday. Thanks for taking us with you, reminded us of a lovely holiday we had in Aarochar a few year’s ago, we would call in at Luss in the mornings on our way out to buy hubbies coffee. Hope you have a good evening, enjoy your drinks😀
The navy ships are probs in the English channel. Looks so lovely there. My sister went to matlock the other week and they couldnt get out of the carpark for an hour as it was so busy, she got a fine through, she said she took pics of the traffic trying to get out so will see if anything happens.
We visited Helensburgh the first time we stayed at a campsite at Loch Lomond and it was in our caravan. Didn't know you could overnight so will have to have a return visit. Got much better weather than us Trevor. We have had mist nearly all day, it's really miserable. How dare you forget the town named after me!😂😂 I love Luss. You see deer in the park there and the buildings have a nice "Arts and Craft" feel about them. You need to go early or late though to avoid the cars and the tourists. Glad you are both enjoying yourselves, despite your initial impressions. Have a lovely evening both.
Best weather in the country Helen this weekend. First time for us Helen. It's the weekend as well, don't ask me how I booked a weekend break! I blame it on the smash.
I live in Hull. I came back home from Helensburgh only stayed a while. So then he would come home on a weekend if he wasnt on duty. When we first got married ,he went away on the submarines for 12 weeks. And our only way of correspondence was a a4 piece of paper with so many squares on it . Can't remember the exact amount but im guessing 20 squares. And betime you had wrote how are you missing ya you had used 6 squares straight away. Was very hard each week. But unfortunately it didnt last very long and we split up. Xx@@trevorpat-lifeontherun
I met him via his mum,he was on xmas leave. I'd gone out with her round town on xmas eve. She had arranged to meet him in a bar. He rang me a few days later and we arranged to meet him. Was together only a year when we got married. Was only together a few weeks when he went off on subs for12 weeks. I received a phone call from the base to say the sub had arrived into base on the lunch time. But he never came until the sun teatime. As you can imagine I was very worried and angry. As he hadn't even contacted me,so things didn't start of to good. He went back ofter new year , after a few months we split up. After a while I found out he had been seeing his bosses wife. 😮 I wanted to try and work this out but things never worked out. So we divorced, and that was it. I saw him on calendar quite a good few years ago,as his ship had come into the port of Hull. I'm not sure if he's retired from it now. Xx
@@bellefreeman803 I couldn't wait to see Pat, and would move heaven and earth to see her, so he can't have had you in his heart or he would have come straight away Belle. Being parted from one another really proves a relationship. I hope things worked out for you Belle.
Royal Navy not like it used to be Trevor, spending cuts severly reduced it. Helensburgh looks really nice and Luss. So pleased you are getting out and about in your little car. See you tomorrow, bye!!
I used to play from memory but I haven't played since 2016 so I have forgotten all the tunes I used to play. I can still string a lot of chords together which makes it sound as though I can play, but they are not tunes, just nice sounds. To play, I would have to work on a tune and memorise it, and with my brain I doubt if I could.
I would love to have seen the room in the hotel, was it that bad Trevor 😮. Have you put a few pounds on Pat😊 must have been the curry and three course meals/cokes etc😅. Lovely vids as always ❤xx
