Ballroomin' Blues class recap - Ochos June 2024

In this class we explored the beautiful world of Ballroomin' Blues and the super smooth and sassy Ocho. Ballroomin' Blues is danced to slower jazzier styles of Blues music, and emphasises key aspects of Blues dancing and its roots in African American music and dance: groundedness, lag, improvisation and cool.
We explored how to initiate the Echo, key points around leading and following it, correct posture and body mechanics, plus a simple exit as well as a super fancy one too.
