People are weird. Here we have our own mega-yacht engineer talking us on private walkthroughs on some of the most expensive things existing on the planet. Of course, we want to learn about the technical sides of these when in the company of eSysman. There are loads of others who will tell us about the carpets and gold plates and the excess or lack of "shabby chick" design cues. The best videos are when he gets to talk to a colleague and completely nerds out on our behalf.

"shabby chic"........and there's ALSO "trailer park chic" where I am in Canada. Our "yacht" for travelling the pipeline was a 20th. Century trailer that came with the furniture. That material wore like chain mail!! We still have the 1960 swivel chair.

This has to be one if not The best videos you have done.
Not only a really fascinating introduction/invite into this incredible world of mega yachting and all that that includes, but the "polish" you and your team have so lovingly and in intricate detail have so seemingly effortlessly applied throughout this video is extraordinary. So beautifully achieved in all ways.

This is my favorite video of yours. I will make a 'gross generalization' and say that IMO, men prefer to see and learn about the technical details of these yachts. I could not care less about the materials used in a chair, sofa, carpet, and design themes. I love the gadgets, the ER tours, bridge, the mechanical and technical details man! :)
When I see 'certain' yacht tours be it a man or woman, who detail the aforementioned materials, etc., are the ones who get to the ER and do basically a walk-through and say something like, "it's really loud in here. Let's go see the...and scoot out without providing any detail, just a quick pan." Those disappoint me every time.
Thanks to you and your crew for doing the hard work for us. Well done!

I like both the technical stuff and the design stuff. I dont need to know who the interior designer was. Although, I have seen enough yachts to recognize certain design houses, like Winch or H2. I would be happy with a video dedicated to the engine room alone. I think you did a goid job at the show this year. It is always great when you can get on board a boat. Of course, I watch David Seal, Victoria, and Nick Burnam too.

13:46 - I love your channel, following the highs and numerous lows of superyachting life, but your comment here sums up my sentiment to many boats I've seen on your channel "Money can't buy you taste". I have zero envy for this type of gaudy opulence - just makes me think of Philip Green.... I would be very happy with a stylish 1930s to 60s gentleman's yacht with no smart lighting or myriad infotainment set-ups. Keep them coming!

Fascinating video. You commented that the crew keep out of the way of the owner/guests and one owner's wife complained she felt, with a crew of 50, she was on a deserted ship. It reminded me of one of your videos a year or so ago, when someone asked, in the comments, if the crew got invited to the owners parties onboard. Then went on to ask do you make friend with the owner etc People have very strange ideas about what it is like to be "staff" on these yachts, It's similar in very high-end hotels etc.

A great video as usual, a little different from the usual which is why it's so good. What I want to know, all the pillows and cushions on the bed, I guest the stuardess dose a bed turn down similar to what is done on some cruise ships. Storage on a yacht is often limited and quite a large cupboard for these excess cushions/pillows is required as I am sure they are not just thrown on the sofa. Perhaps they go under the bed.
