Outstanding video. I'm having a few issues with my 1970 Chevelle hood and alignment. This definitely puts things into perspective. I will also be checking out Eddie Motorsports out for those hinges as well.
Any recommendations on alignment on hood on a 70 chevelle ? I have the same hinges . Everything seems to line up pretty nicely. But soon as I put on the gas struts the rear side of the hood sticks up least 1-2 inches
I have a 1969 Chevelle Malibu that the hood sticks shut on. I believe I need to replace the latch assemble on the front. The latch appears to be loose and the when I pull the lever to open the hood doesn't pop up like it used to. Because of this, I believe the spring is worn out. Can you show me what I need to do to fix this?
@@lukasgarrison8505 let to right play at all? My hinges are original and I'm thinking of making the switch. Just got the car painted and don't want any rubbing or misalignment issues

Getting the hood perfect with any hinge takes patience. I really like these hinges though, lifts beautifully

How are the cowl vent covers? I saw some reviews say they didn’t line up well.
I went to put them on and wish they were larger. They were okay

I had to use a hammer to smash down the lip on the firewall

I can look at my latch assembly in a few days, I believe it was straight forward. Have you tried tapping the hood to get her open?
Hows the billet hood hinges holding up? I'm thinking about getting a set for my 70 chevelle.
They are amazing, they still lift the hood with little effort

@@joeknowski675 no play left to right. The alignment from patience and two people. I leave the hood open 90% of the time
