The thing is your first Final Fantasy Game probably you favorite FF game. For me it was FF8(best) FF7(i remember fondly) FF9 (cant rememeber endboss) FF10 (The best). FF10 did everything extraordinary right. Music, , Bestias, Spheres, Characters, Story, Battles , Graphics. For the time in 2002 it was just awesome.
tbh that limit break do trivialize every boss in the game, i fought that battle, had huge issue to defeat him, then i go with this limit break (first time in the game) and kill him with it so easily i just laughed at the end
Confidence???? He's dead (saved only by phoenix), he used immortality's item.... that's all you want except confidence... I beat Omega without die/immortality's item only with squall (if you want i'll upload the video). That is confidence....

Perfect battle, I suppose you could even make it easier by casting Meltdown on Omega thus bringing his defense to zero. I love to fight this boss especially once I challenged him with my best party fully maxed out (Squall, Rinoa and Quistis)
It's late but rinoa angel wing turn rinoa in a status of magic berserk she will cast stronger magic true but... You will never knew what she will cast... She could cast firaga or blizzaga or even holy... Which will heal omega... So it kinda a double edge move
@@rextar9961that's why you only give her meteor and maybe death (for status junctioning to proect against level 5 death omegas first and only time he uses the move) as all she will do then is spam meteor over and over and that does damage and multi hits to omega unlike most other elemental moves, making that strategy more viable. Though stun locking Rinoa into that, I don't see the potential myself apart from what I just mentioned, and even then your giving up control of her, she's much more useful when used manually, I should know, I just used her to finally best omega weapon a hour ago lol used squall, zell, and Rinoa. Used a similar strategy to this and angelo kept multi hitting and suplexing omega it was pretty funny. I got some damn good rng and whooped his ass. He's beat me about 20 times now so we're even at last lol 😂
Actually Rinoa can do a butt ton of damage with Angelo just like with Angel Wing if set up right. Against this boss I had Squall, Zell, and Irvine and I did: 1 HP + Aura + Haste + high speed stat (but still not even close to maxed) = Triggered her Wishing Star alongside Lion Hearts and 12 Second Duel. Got Omega down not long after the first Terra Break . The only other things I had to do was Defend, Heal, Triple my KO'D Character, and Aura when necessary. Most of the damage was done between Megiddo Flame and Terra Break. If you have Aura and 1 HP triggered your characters chances to trigger the strongest Limit (Squall and Rinoa) or longest Sequence (Zell and Irvine) are higher.
I fought this guy so many times before i kinda memorized his attack pattern. He will always start with Death - Ultima - Light Pillar - Meteor - Megido Flame - Gravija - Terra Break. Then repeat again from Ultima. I don't play the remaster so i wouldn't know if his pattern is already randomized or still the same.
Best shot for irvine is fast shot instead of pulse Best offense for rinoa is angel wings meteor caster max you mag to 255 Killed this omega shit for 3 times in 3 different platforms, ps, pc, android lol
Even at lv 99 I never had Fast shot do 9999 per hit AT 255 Str I only had AP/Pulse ammo do that much that I used Zell instead I had Zell either DO 5000 or 9999 per use of Booya Heel Drop or Punch rush and Zell has a combo where he can chain those 3 limit breaks FOREVER or until a boss dies. But at 5000 to 9999 per hit for Those limits it would take well more then 100 hits for Zell to do 1 million damage to Omega killing IT instantly in 1 turn I'm barely fast enough even with all the PS4 cheats used to get even 20 to 30 hits for Zell in PER turn.
Just get Odin， then you win the battle at only once. Do not get him until walking through DIsc 4's Ultimecia Castle. Omega Weapon and One of Doomtrain items is Odin's Job. If your Odin really got killed by Seifer 's limit break "Zantetsuken Reverse" in Disc3, then I recommend that you need to start the game all over again.~~ Gilgamesh does not really know how to use Odin's Zantetsuken, so he always miss the fight.
I remember 14 years old of me beating this boss , in Japanese version ( I don’t understand any Japanese ) event til now . A few years later my friend have trouble with it in English version.
Just now beat him myself without any invincibility items or GFs. My party was Squall, Zell, Quistis. It was a great fight! Very enjoyable. Had I swapped out Qustis for Irvine I could've killed him faster. I actually wanted to do this but I saved after beating him and now hes gone forever. Really sucks you can't keep fighting him
Through multiple play throughs, I've found the complete randomization of the game, if you're pretty balanced and stock up, the fights really not that hard at all, to much physical, he'll slash and blast, to much magic, high speed blast and cast, items are a mixed bag, he'll typically try to mess you up to prevent buffing yourself, most often with his ultimate attack. Holy war often doesn't last that long, as it take actual time and not battle, of course this is from the original copy, fresh out of the package, and a few coffee machines, I've had them wear out mid limit-break, especially if you use haste. Your Seed level actually plays a part in this as well. Oh, and I was doing all these together step by step.

dude pulsashot sucks, its just looks good! :D if you build irvin good you just use MG shot with 9999 dmg each shot and you have a lot more than 3-10 shots per limit( idc how much shots but 20 or 30 maybe), ya and meltdown ist OP too :p
I had the strategy guide for this game back then and it literally makes you fight him the long way but doesn’t tell you that you could just use lion heart lol
Please Ultima weapon was like a literal torture constantly have to take down enemies one by one and the ability no encounter (diabolos') didn't work. Honestly Omega is not really hard to beat unless you exactly know it's sequencing strategies (for example after magido flame, it will use gravija then when it does make sure to be defensive so every physical attack you take from Terra break becomes zero then after it is over, immediately use a mega elixir before it uses Ultima otherwise it is game over)

With a bit of research online, hearing other people's strategies like using meltdown and auras etc and some tinkering round with my gf's and abilities, stat junctions etc, a bit of skill, and ofcourse some luck, I finally beat omega weapon! 😁 I am stoked to finally join the club! Guys an asshole.. Sure was satisfying to watch my angelo pildriver him a good few times and hit him from all angles on many occasions, aswell as my duels were going well and perfect renzos with fated circle end moves were all on point (squall only had punisher I didn't have Lionheart for him or even ergreiz for zell atleast on this save file anyway but I think Rinoa had cardinal atleast) and he eventually falls in under ten minutes. I whooped his ass. It feels SO good. If you think he's to strong, KEEP trying... Maybe take a break fro battle and read up and learn strategys that work for other people, but the universal one I found was cast meltdown/doom train first thing to lower his Vit to 0 then you wanna aura all 3 characters so your limits come off more frequent. Those 2 things are essential. Also equip 100 death magic as a status defence against his lv5 death if your succeptable to this attack, any level a multiple of 5 will be effected by this (lv10, 15, 20 and so forth) and junction to the ones who need it and you get a free turn from the start, use that to set up the spells I told you, you can use Holy wars for temp invincibility or you can use megaelixers both can be converted from gilgamesh will give you 10 holy wars and bahamut cards will give you 100 megaelixers respectively, both are overkill however as you won't need much of either or them if you keep hitting hard and fast, also haste can be helpful to, make sure to cast all buffs before using a holy war or hero though if your planning on using them, buffs won't apply once the effect takes place so make sure to aura and haste etc first! now go get him!!
All various ways of beating this fight in the comments show what an amazing thing the junction system actually was. They really went full force with this mega system with barely any limits. I doubt we will ever see something like this again.
Not if u limit yourself by not using those holy war items. Of course u win if your whole party is invincible. Play this game without using card mod if u want a real challenge...

On Topic: The only dangerous attack from Omega is Terra Break, that can kill your entire party, even with 150+ defense stats. Light PIllar and Megido Flame can easily be avoided by 9999 HP + Triple + Curaga, you heal one character while the other two use 1 HP stacked limit breaks, Gravija can't kill you, Meteor and Ultima are weak spells for Late Game standards and barely damage you with Auto Shell and high Spr. FF8 has the easiest Ultimate Boss. TBH, I find Penance and Ruby Weapon way harder...
In order to win without Holy War, you have to memorize Omega Weapon's attack pattern by heart, because you need to be at 9999 HP to survive Megido Flame and have Defend to block Terra Break. ...unless, of course, your strategy is to spam Booya-Heel Drop with Zell and hope to kill it before that. 😅
Rinoa is enough ... stock a lot of aura magic, give rinoa move-first/initiative ability from GF,, don't let rinoa learn another limit break except invincible moon; use invincible moon continuously,, enjoy ... i've ever beaten this omega weapon with girls only (selphie, quistis, rinoa) ... but of course, "the end" shows up
@@DarkEinherjar Protect actually lowers the damage from Terra Break, so you can make at least one character survive. Its not a 100% chance one will survive, but it is possible, I've been doing it for a while now.
Well for my first playthrough in this game I beat this boss on my third try underpowered, and let me tell you it was HELL! (And my first playthrough is my only playthrough so far.)
I did all except for meltdown. But, to compensate it, i used only Squall. I know all omega's pattern, so the only difference was the time of the battle: with meltdown i won in around 8 minutes; without It would have taken me twice as long with the same result. The only important think is survive to Omega's 2 one shot attack: protection's ability is the best way ^^
i defeated him without max level.. without max weapon.. without holy war.. i just need 100 megalixir (by traded bahamut cards) and 100 ultima to junctioned to Rinoa (drew at what village i forgot its name) .. i give rinoa all devastating magic (no cure magic).. and always set her to angel wing mode.. then squall and zell in defense position.. so they won't died easily.. if someone died.. i revive him/her and used megalixir.. and aura rinoa to let her did angel wing again and again.. i almost fell asleep when fought omega.. cz i just repeat that move over and over.. that's all
I remember how super annoying it was getting down here with all the Ruby dragons. I finally get to ultima weapon. Draw out the final gf, Cast Aura on Squall, use lionheart and killed it in one hit..
A little over 1million HP at level 100. The one attack that poses an unavoidable threat (Junction to be immune to Lv5 Death even at level 100, gravija cant kill) was countered by Phoenix and then the Terra Break that was about to follow would be blocked by Holy War.
The hardest boss in the game beaten in 6 minutes, could have been 5 if you used doomtrain at the start of the battle. I loved this game but the junctioning system and weak bosses made it far too easy.
For me, what makes FF8 easy as fuck are the Limit Breaks. I spend the entire game with Squall on low HP... Everytime he gets automatically healed up, i kill and revive him with a Phoenix Down, so he can be able to Limit Break the ass out of the enemies.
Any modders out there willing to mod this game for me? I want you to implement a proper limit system. Being able to constantly spam limits like this ruins the game.

I remember this being much more difficult that this looked. I tried the same tactic as him, spam Limit Breaks. But I would always get decimated.

Rinoa with Angel Wing would have destroyed the boss, spamming the dog with her its a lost turn, she autocast the dog when receive damage.

You should do a fight without the use of Holy War. Fast Ammo actually causes more damage if Meltdown is cast on Omega

Light PIllar and Megido Flame can easily be avoided by 9999 HP + Triple + Curaga, you heal one character while the other two use 1 HP stacked limit breaks, Gravija can't kill you, Meteor and Ultima are weak spells for Late Game standards and barely damage you with Auto Shell and high Spr.
FF8 has the easiest Ultimate Boss. TBH, I find Penance and Ruby Weapon way harder...

You only can beat this boss without Holy war by using Squall, Rinoa, and Zell. I'm not sure if you are using other characters.
In order to win without Holy War, you have to memorize Omega Weapon's attack pattern by heart, because you need to be at 9999 HP to survive Megido Flame and have Defend to block Terra Break.
...unless, of course, your strategy is to spam Booya-Heel Drop with Zell and hope to kill it before that. 😅

Rinoa is enough ... stock a lot of aura magic, give rinoa move-first/initiative ability from GF,, don't let rinoa learn another limit break except invincible moon;
use invincible moon continuously,, enjoy ... i've ever beaten this omega weapon with girls only (selphie, quistis, rinoa) ... but of course, "the end" shows up
@@DarkEinherjar Protect actually lowers the damage from Terra Break, so you can make at least one character survive. Its not a 100% chance one will survive, but it is possible, I've been doing it for a while now.

Well for my first playthrough in this game I beat this boss on my third try underpowered, and let me tell you it was HELL! (And my first playthrough is my only playthrough so far.)
Do not use holy war, hero item, invisible moon, doomtrain, meltdown. Try it, it's a very long process but the challenge is so satisfying.
I did all except for meltdown. But, to compensate it, i used only Squall.
I know all omega's pattern, so the only difference was the time of the battle: with meltdown i won in around 8 minutes; without It would have taken me twice as long with the same result.
The only important think is survive to Omega's 2 one shot attack: protection's ability is the best way ^^

OW is not the strongest in FF8, there is one last boss living in the far continent to the south, it is Ultimo Dragon.

Had a save and when I was bored would boot up my ps1 and take this Weapon to pain town!
i defeated him without max level.. without max weapon.. without holy war.. i just need 100 megalixir (by traded bahamut cards) and 100 ultima to junctioned to Rinoa (drew at what village i forgot its name) .. i give rinoa all devastating magic (no cure magic).. and always set her to angel wing mode.. then squall and zell in defense position.. so they won't died easily..
if someone died.. i revive him/her and used megalixir.. and aura rinoa to let her did angel wing again and again.. i almost fell asleep when fought omega.. cz i just repeat that move over and over..

Well, the goal of FF8 is to NOT LEVEL UP at all in order to avoid fighting stronger enemies. Also no 100 means lv5 death is worthless.
I remember how super annoying it was getting down here with all the Ruby dragons. I finally get to ultima weapon. Draw out the final gf, Cast Aura on Squall, use lionheart and killed it in one hit..
Omega Weapon at level 100 has 1,089,000 HP, so you mustve been cheesing the game by avoiding any exp and being ultra low level?

A little over 1million HP at level 100. The one attack that poses an unavoidable threat (Junction to be immune to Lv5 Death even at level 100, gravija cant kill) was countered by Phoenix and then the Terra Break that was about to follow would be blocked by Holy War.
If you didn’t teach Angelo and waited till you got invincible moon and shooting star, the battle would have been faster.
Ff8 is best and best. Of all ff story and everything is best

The hardest boss in the game beaten in 6 minutes, could have been 5 if you used doomtrain at the start of the battle. I loved this game but the junctioning system and weak bosses made it far too easy.

For me, what makes FF8 easy as fuck are the Limit Breaks. I spend the entire game with Squall on low HP... Everytime he gets automatically healed up, i kill and revive him with a Phoenix Down, so he can be able to Limit Break the ass out of the enemies.
