    Thank you for the support and feedback which we really appreciate and will be doing more features like this...The Green Cooper came back from southern Ireland 3 years ago and we rebuilt it for the customer and had it re registered on it's original UK number...

      You always put so much effort, energy, enthusiasm, knowledge into everything you do. Privileged to know you. You, whizzo, and the old man round a table would have been quite an evening!

    Great video 👍 very informative and the 59 Mini is very original. The Sportspack is a very different Mini especially with 90bhp

    The first car I drove after passing my driving test (1962) was a Mini with the pudding stirring gear lever. 42 years later I have just purchased a 2019 Mini Cooper S which is as different to chalk and cheese to the original. Cars evolve over time, “ the Mini” was a step change in its day but the modern car takes it to a new level.

    Also the later minis had a different style of front grille, hidden door hinges and larger tail lights.

    Lovely cars, the MPI is a Cooper Si, not an S Works

      Thought the SPi’s (pre 1997) were known as the Si and the MPi’s were the S Works

    • @classicminiworkshop
      @classicminiworkshop 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@britishminiclub They were Si’s up until about late 1998 as far as I know and S Works after so the first MPIs were Si’s

      @@classicminiworkshop we have a 95 Si number 11 and thought they changed in 97 when BMW made improvements and they changed to MPi A bit of a grey area perhaps

      @@britishminiclub I’m 100% certain, I have the sales brochures and mini mags from the era when they were advertised. I’ve also owned two of them, a 98 and 97 MPI. Check out the John Cooper Garages Facebook group.

      @@classicminiworkshop I’ve just asked the question on the same page. Not saying your wrong but the reason I’m confused is I’ve never seen the Si graphic on a Sportspack and always thought it was only used on the Spi’s

    Could the sweet spot of the whole range be the 1990 RSP Cooper?

    The Rover Mini was manufactured in 1997, Not the late 2000s. The last year of production for the 'Classic Mini' was 2000. Even the slightest bit of research would of told you that.
