I love how the dialogue in these ChoroQ games basically go like this: You enter a house and you get some random dialogue like "Fishing is my favourite thing to do, isn't it awesome?" And that's it, you get nothing else from that lmao
that or you drive in and its some Ford Focus going through a divorce so you have to drive an apology letter to his wife and then when you do he gives you either 50 cents or the best engine in the game with absolutely no inbetween
@@msr_metalthen you later find the wife and she tells you she left him for a fiesta, but after you send her the apology letter she goes to my city for literally no reason
Tried playing the other year and chasing the thief in yellow city still gives me nightmares. Sad there is no modern Choro Q games, and I'm surpised with all the indie "cozy" indie games that no one has made something similar.
The Underground Maze starts from the same point in each city, so you can reach every location from any entrance, the reason why you missed the correct path was because you misread the junction types, be careful when you read the T junction and + junction instructions (check your notebook for the instructions!!) Whenever a T junction direction is listed, take that direction at the next T junction REGARDLESS of the way the T junction is facing, as long as the direction can be taken at a T junction, take it. Then obviously the + junctions are always the same. Whenever a “straight” instruction is given, skip the next junction by going straight on. It’s a bit confusing but the method is consistent throughout the game so you only need to learn it once
Since Road Trip Adventure was my first ever PS2 game as a child, and even though I was always totally oblivious that there were actual objectives so I just kept restarting until I got the car I wanted and just drove around aimlessly, now at 25 I was finally able to afford a gaming pc just to do the very same aimless driving around again. I think I might need to check this one out as well.
Oh you're even doing the PS1 games as well? At this point, you'll need to cap off the series with a massive comparison of every Choro Q game in one video. I don't think anyone else has ever done that!
I picked this game up AGES ago in a bargain bin. What looks like a kid racing game turned out to be rather in depth. Not sure where everyone is from, but the cars in this series are based off of something we had in the USA a long time back called "Penny Racers." They were cheap little pull back friction motor cars and to balance them out, they had a slot in the back where you would slide in a penny. I never completed it. From what I recall it was a bunch of random events happening only in very specific circumstances. That version of the game reminded me a lot of the gameplay loop in another racer called Street Racing Syndicate.
Great timing! Very recently started playing this. Now I'm hoping that someone out there is passionate enough to make a game just like the road trip adventure formula with a similar art style but with much more detail, as some parts of the world looked unfinished.
Also I'd recommend making a series of this game too, there are some interesting things awaiting for you, and I believe there might be some guides to help find some needed parts.
As far as I know the translation you're using is quite inaccurate and might feature things that weren't there originally(like mentions of Peach Town), so beware of that.

If I enter other people's homes in real life I'll get killed or go to jail
or find someone's lost wife who was angry because her husband had a picture of the younger her and she thought it was another woman
That jim pisses me off

14:48 means "Hurry to the top!"
Also, yeah this game somehow from what I can tell is the blueprint for ChoroQ HG2 a.k.a. Road Trip, in which is made by same developer.
