    Pianist author, and semi-professional dog petter Jeremy Siskind shares what you should learn in your first lesson on improvising over the most common jazz chord progression, the ii-V-I. Learn how to incorporate different scales regarding to the Key Center of the ii-V-I and then how to use arpeggios to connect each individual chord.

    Hi I watch your Chanel as someone fairly new to jazz and was wondering what software and pen you are using for the illustrations. Cheers

    Would you do anything different if you play rootless with the left hand?

    • @JeremySiskind
      @JeremySiskind  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If I’m playing rootless Voicings with the left hand, I assume there’s a bass player playing the roots, so nothing would really change about the improvisation,

    Ahh this is a great way to move forward from the 3579s in your book! Also I basically came here from the thumbnail to say that's a really cool shirt. No magic word today so: nectarine? umbrella?

    • @JeremySiskind
      @JeremySiskind  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was umbrella! How did you know without me even saying? 😉 ☔️

    Can you do a tutorial with Stevie Wonder's music?

    • @JeremySiskind
      @JeremySiskind  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe! I'm a huge Stevie fan, but I'm not sure what I'd have to say. Let em kthink about it!
