I always got my mom cards and wrote the same thing every year cause that's what our daycare made us make so I never really had to think of a gift but with my dad, I had to and my five-year-old brain couldn't take it so I gave him a water bottle with tissue in it and called it a snow globe (I'm sorry dad🤣 ) but he still took it without complaining
