UPDATE TO THE FLEXTAIL ZERO PUMP

- I did a review of the prototype Flextail Zero Pump a while back. Initially, Flextail asked me to look at the prototype and let me know what I thought of the air pump. The initial design had a battery that needed external charging in a RCA123A battery charger. Recently, Flextail sent me the final design of the Zero Pump with all the nozzles. This pump is perfect for backpacking. Check out the updates to the Zero Pump. The device itself is only 1.2 ounces without the battery. What an amazing piece of gear for the backpacking kit. #backpacking #hiking #hikertrash #backpackinggear #flextail

I’m glad you are so happy with the improvements dog!😃🥰👍🏻🦊
Wonderful improvements. Great update Crow!
Cool to hear they listened to some of your input. Nice review, Crow.
Good update. A company that listens and makes improvements, cool. Thanks Crow.
The smallest adapter also fits the Haven Tent hammock pad. So far we've made multiple overnights and I've only had to recharge it once. Great little pump.
Excellent! I received my Zero a week ago and it’s going on a three week test out on the Ouachita Trail starting Monday.✌️
Those look pretty useful. It's great to see companies listen to the customer.
Thanks Crow! I’ve been looking for a nice little pump for our Exped Megamat for our Subaru car camping adventures. Fist bumps ~ Miyagi
What’s up Miyagi! Yeah, this thing is great. Appreciate you watching it my friend ✌️
Thank you for sharing this beautiful.
Great review Crow! I bought one too!
They are great! Thanks for watching it. Crow🙏
Excellent review! Happy Hiking
I bought a Flextail Zero Pump recently.
The threads to open and close the battery housing were very rough and gritty. At one point the aluminium chips and dust generated from opening and closing the pump caused the housing to jam halfway closed, although there was still battery contact with the circuit.
Upon further inspection, opening and closing the device resulted in a huge amount of aluminium debris being generated. Aluminium dust is very flammable, and I am worried that generating a flammable material inside an electrical device that is blowing a lot of oxygen past it, while inflating flammable mats and pillows inside flammable tents is a recipe for disaster.
Dang! That could be a major issue. I noticed that with the threads too. Flextail may need to know that and fix that issue. Thanks for your comment. ✌️
Nice job, thanks for the updates!
Appreciate it! ✌️
Great update and information. 😃
Awesome review I will definitely check the flextail.
Best in the rain review ever😂. I just got a production model of the zero and I’m super excited to try it out on trail! Great job crow!
Rain or shine...I'll do a review...lol
@@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING you are the man!
Great review Brad.
I got one from the Kickstarter. Havent gotten to use it in the wild, yet, but it seems to be a really solid device.
Finally got my flextail tiny pump and bug repellant in mail last week, cant wait to use
I really like the Zero Pump. Happy hiking my friend. Crow✌️
Nice update, Crow. 🦑
Brand new, freshly charged. Filled Exped pad 2-1/2 times before I had to borrow my buddy’s inflation sack. Any remedies/suggestions.
I would reach out to Flextail. I haven’t had that issue. May be a bad battery.
These sure look useful 👍🏻❤️
🙏
I still have not got the opportunity to try out that Flextail mosquito repeller that I bought for the Yukon trip. May have to break that bad boy out for the Okefenokee trip!
Believe it’s one ounce not including the battery, 2ish oz with the battery.
You are right. I should have said that. I forgot to include that. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
I still need to get the Zero Pump. I still use the original.
I wonder why they didn't put a tether on the therm-a-rest valve like they did the others? Comes off easily, going to be easy to lose.
That would have been better. Absolutely not sure why they didn’t do that. Hope all is well Joe. ✌️
I like it
😊✌️
How long to charge?
I haven’t timed it…maybe 45 minutes?
Sounds like you were paid to say what you did. Wow what a script. The pump doesn't even fully fill up an air mattress. flextail doesn't even back their own products
Not paid. I don’t take any money for reviews. They did give me the air pump. I have used it for a long time. It works great. Thanks for watching.
Garbage. Slightest bit of humid or damp conditions and it stops working, permanently. Looks good in a youtube test, NFG in real world usage
It has worked well for me. I have used it exclusively for 8 months and it has been great. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
Not even a demo? What is this? 😂
This is an update. The demo was on the last video when they initially sent it.
Too cool- like the upgrades! I have the original tiny pump, which is a luxury item I won’t leave behind 🥾🏕️
It is a great little device. ✌️
