You take someone step by step through the entire process. Nothing is skipped from exactly how long to saute the vegies to when to turn on and off the fire. My wife wanted me to cook a shrimp mirliton as a side for thanksgiving but I told her she should try it herself. I suggested she look it up on one of the one line cooking shows but she responded that every time she did that it tuened out to be a disaster. I said follow Charlie Andrews recipe on You Tube. His directions are foolproof. She did and the dish was the hit of the meal with rave reviews. Thanks Charlie, You can take a beginning cook and have them turn out a magnificant meal

The chicken fried steak meal looks great and reminds me of what my mother use to make for us kids when we was growing up and I loved the string beans, mashed potatoes, and steaks so much and still love eating them, but have not made as much as I did years ago. If you don't have meat tenderizer, you can also tenderize meat with baking soda and water. About 1 TBSP per half gallon water. Soak for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse.
