I just bought this pretty easy to put on today 4/10/2021. My Jeep has the same color but the entire front has after market bumper, black armor fender flares, black gladiator grill so the black looks great on it. I was so excited I put it on with the black primer . I am getting painted black but nothing glossy. Love it.
I have the dv8 and it looks great i would recommend having a bodyshop install it though mine doesn't line up exactly with the fenders but it still looks great
You can totally hear the sound of the REGULAR STEEL HOOD. 🤫 If I buy this ill buy all new parts with it including the hinge. That way you can swap it back over quick if its a lease or want to use it on a newer Jeep.
This type of hood design was popular back in the 80's on the Chevrolet Z-28 and Corvette. Those had 4 rectangular slots on each side instead of three. My dad had one on an 84' Z-28 that was pretty sick. Had lights in each slot that was controlled by control box inside where you could change the speed and pattern of the lights. Yep, it was some next level night-rider sh@t back in the day lol.
Thanks for the instructional video. I always find your video very informative. I am looking for a new Hood for my Jeep Sahara Unlimited Altitude 2023 but I think this one is kind of too much for my taste. I looks good but I feel there is a better option.
Should be able to buy the new hood set up for a hard top with the lines and shit ran already, or without for soft top or if the person just simply doesn't care about it.
Great instructional video! Even though I'll be installing a different hood, this was helpful in knowing what tools I'll need and how to successfully remove my factory one. Oh and BTW... Merideth has an amazing smile!! :)
Hi, super nice hood, im thinking about getting it, but i have a question. I live in south Florida, and in the summer's it rains like crazy, so my question is, i noticed the vents are straight through, so when it rains hard, the water will go into the engine , will that be a problem???. I know you can take the jeep into water, but still i was wondering if rain every day will cause any damage to the engine???
TOTL Innovations actually pioneered this design. Their hood has rails to catch the water. I have it on my JK and it stays dry even when driving in crazy storms.

Can you imagine if you had this hood along with an angry eyes grill? It would be hideous!
Hood is great. Angry grill is 👎

Can those side vents be added to other hoods? Cutting and trimming of the hood would obviously be required, and that is fine.
I've always liked this hood
Thanks for watching, Aaron! -Zach
ya i dont trust 3m tape when it gets reaply hot its melts like butter n falls off i wonder if ya can buy the vents if ya lose one going down the road
Can you mount the gas struts on this hood and get rid of the hood prop
Yes, you should be able to mount hood struts to this hood. Depending on the type and brand though you may have to do some minor modification.
Can I get just the scoop , I have a CJ jeep and would like a scoop of that kind that I could fiber glass onto my CJ hood

@@Dunedain313 cool
What about rain? Doesn't the engine get soaked?
I have a 2017 DV8 hood I bought for a JK, I now have a JT Gladiator will this hood fit? Appears to be the same???
Can I order it with paint to match? And how it handles rain and water .. any gets in the eng bay?
Would you guys paint the Hood if someone requested it and paid for it?
Unless there's an option for paint matching on our site, we do not paint items like this on request. Sorry! -Zach
Wait... they said the factory hood is fiberglass? I thought it was aluminum....
It is aluminum
will this fit the 2020 and up JT Gladiator???
Yes it will! -Zach
Wouldn’t want her working on my new paint job
Does rain and dust get inside?
Yes.
@@Dunedain313 Great!
@@Dunedain313 thank you saved me a couple hundred
That is ugly
I wish they made one for the TJ my 4.0 needs something like this
@@causeuncause4059 they do it's close to $900 on Xtreme Off-Road
Not a fun of this. guys with mullets might buy it.
It looks bad ass on mine.
looks stupid
Its hideous looks like a bicycle helmet ⛑️ 🤢🤮
I like the hood but the pearl blue paint alone to paint this is over $400 just for the paint. So double the cost of the hood.
